Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Holden

Great location. Woke up to the sounds of birds. very responsive. I would have given it a 5 star all the way, David was amazing and responded in a very timely manner. But, the turn over service could have been much better. The previous guest left a wine bottle in the automatic fridge ice dispenser and it was unfounded until my family found a large peice of glass in their drink, serious hazard to drink glass. Should have been spotted by the turn over service but, who would check the ice maker for a bottle a wine? I understand that. Very uncommon and unfortunate for us. David responded in a very fast manner and gave us options to accommodate the situation. I would have left a 5 star if this was the only thing but everything was so unorganized in the kitchen, they had everything but nothing made sense to why it was there. Sink didn't drain. There were also stains on the sheets and a pizza box left by the fridge that wasn't ours. Little things but the turn over service was a let down.

The minute we walked in we felt at home! Sonya was super responsive and friendly, we got right in with no problem. The location was easy to find, and despite having houses nearby it felt very private. Sonya has everything you can think of. The cabin was clean and warm. Thank you so much, Sonya. We would absolutely stay again !

The location of the house was perfect for our visit to Acadia. It was very quiet and serene with beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and the fire pit at night. We highly recommended this hidden little gem.

We can't say enough great things about this place! Camp Nacho exceeded our expectations exponentially. The views are beautiful. The neighborhood is extremely quiet and peaceful. The cabin had everything we needed and more. Amon was easy to communicate with and so friendly. We enjoyed the kayaks and the fire pit! We stayed with our 6 kiddos and they had a blast. So many amazing memories were made during out stay!

Denis has a really nice place and is very peaceful and quiet. Very well stocked with everything you would need. Only a short drive away to the town of Belfast, which had a beautiful waterfront trail to walk. There are very many local restaurants in town serving delicious seafood. Denis was very responsive to any questions you might have. Loved our stay!

The lakeside cabin was just what I needed. Quiet, private, and right on the water. My dog loved running in the yard and swimming in the lake. The cabin was comfortable with all the basics, and sitting on the porch watching the water was so relaxing. Perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet.

My family of four had the most amazing stay at Kay's modern cabin on Lake Lucerne! It was beautiful and spacious yet felt welcoming and homey for our small group. The setup is perfect for gathering in the kitchen, around the game table, and on the comfy couch at the end of the day. We were wowed by the bunk room, deck and lounge area upstairs. The dock is great - private and close to the house. We loved getting in the water and taking the kayaks out around the lake. Kay left Smores fixings for us and we enjoyed them while sitting around the fire pit. So many great areas of the home to relax and gather. The house is close enough to drive into Acadia and Bar Harbor for the day. We did so many fun things on our vacation to Maine, but our time at this house was my favorite part of the trip. Kay was wonderful, and responsive to any question or request I had. We hope to be back soon, maybe with a bigger group!

We had a truly unforgettable stay in Penobscot, Maine, and Suzanne’s Airbnb was a big reason why. The view from the property was absolutely stunning — serene, scenic, and the perfect escape from everyday life. Suzanne was an incredibly warm and gracious host who even invited us for breakfast and made us fresh coffee, making us feel instantly at home. Melissa, the property manager, was equally wonderful — welcoming, attentive, and always quick to respond to any questions we had. Both Suzanne and Melissa went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Their kindness made it feel like we were visiting family rather than staying in a rental. I’ll definitely be returning to Suzanne’s place for my next visit to Maine. Highly recommend this beautiful spot to anyone looking for a peaceful and heartwarming getaway!

We felt right at home at the Open Hearth Inn. Arthur and his team were very friendly and helpful. The inn is stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay, including snacks and treats for both humans and pups. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub when we weren’t hiking in Acadia. Definitely a great experience!

Pam’s place was so spacious but cozy, warm, clean and so welcoming. Pam was also friendly and quick to respond. We were lucky her place was available when we booked ☺️

We really enjoyed our stay at April’s private river retreat house. The apartment was very clean with lots of amenities. The travel toiletries were a nice surprise. We were about a 30 minute drive from Bar Harbor but it took close to an hour to get to some trailheads in Acadia NP. The weather got hot during our stay and April had her husband come to put the window AC in for us which was appreciated. Our only complaint was slow response time from the host during our stay and difficulty finding the driveway upon initial arrival. Google maps said the house was 3 doors closer on the road than it actually was. We would love to come back in the future!

Such a cute place to stay near Bar Harbor and Acadia! The dogs were adorable! Perfect place to stay after a long day of exploring.

This Airbnb was exactly as listed. Everything is updated, very clean, and comfortable. Jordana was very responsive and accommodating. I would stay here again.

I cannot say enough about Nancy, the unit I stayed in, or her hospitality! This apartment was perfect and cozy for my visit, with lots of personal touches and extras - if you need it, she’s already thought of it and has it ready for you. She was also very accommodating when my flight was cancelled and I had to shift my days around a bit. The personal touches were perfect - I had farm fresh eggs for breakfast and some delicious muffins too. A wonderful stay, thank you! I will most definitely be back! ❤️

This place is absolutely adorable and we had SO much fun! The attention to detail in designing was incredible, the Mrs. Pac man machine was so much fun, we enjoyed game nights with the games provided, nights by the fire pit, and a fully stocked kitchen made things so stress free! Everything was so clean and easy to find. The host was very responsive! Can’t wait to tell our friends about this gem!

a new addition was built onto the cabin that was on first floor and very helpful as an older couple. Great outdoor space to walk our dog and enjoy fresh air. Will book again!

My husband and I had a great stay. We really enjoyed the fire pit outside in the evenings. The home was very cozy and had everything we needed. Close drive to Bangor.

This is our 3rd visit to this cabin. It’s everything my family could ever want in a getaway. I love the rustic nature of it, but appreciate its modern conveniences. It’s also peaceful and the fishing is great. It’s close enough to Lincoln to grab stuff, but far enough to feel completely remote. Also within range of Baxter state park. It’s truly a special place I will continue to visit.

What an amazing little place!! Stayed here for our 5 year wedding anniversary while exploring the mountains of Acadia National Park (about an hour drive pending on traffic) The cabin and property were just absolutely perfect for a getaway. While sitting on the porch at night we got to experience a beautiful owl doing its thing while we listened to the loons on the lake. Just amazing!

I cannot say enough great things about our stay here. The outdoor shower is absolutely incredible; so well crafted! If you’re looking at the listing and hesitant to book due to the toilet situation - don’t be! It was cleaner than quite a few other places we’ve stated that had “real” bathrooms. The cabin itself had everything we needed and more (comfortable bed, extra blankets, anything you’d need to cook simple meals, etc.). Everything was very clean and the rules & checkout instructions were very clear, which was great because that is definitely not always the case when you book a place. Bethany is a gracious and responsive host and the area is incredible. If you’re looking for a place in this area, I highly recommend staying here if it’s available for your dates!

First ever air bnb stay and it’ll be hard to beat! Great views (even got to see some ball lightening in the distance) very dog friendly, the hot tub was awesome! Super cozy place, will definitely be back!

The cabin was very comfortable, quiet, and just as described. Everything you need for cooking is already there. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, wifi was amazing. We went kayaking one day and it was beautiful. There are tons of rocks just below the surface of the water near the islands but you can see them because the water is so clear. The drive to the cabin is a long gravel road and thankfully we have 4WD because it might have been harder to get up the driveway from the cabin if we didn’t. There were loons on the pond every day and night but they were fun to see and hear. We also had some hummingbirds visit the feeder at the cabin and loved watching them our whole stay. The water from the faucet is from the lake but it’s so clear you almost wouldn’t know it. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet, natural place to relax.

Mandi and Michael’s place was a dream come true! Our jaws dropped the moment we stepped foot out of the car and walked the path to the cabin. As hosts, they thought of everything we could need and more. Our stay at the Happy Loon was better than we could’ve imagined. Thank you both for making our trip so magical.
