Holiday rentals with beach access in Honshu

this was our second time staying here, and we had an amazing stay once again. the accommodation is super clean and looks just like the pictures. the area is peaceful, with plenty of places to eat at. it’s a short walk to the convenience stores and the train station as well, which has a nice grocery store located next to it. the host is very nice and responds quickly; he also gave us great recommendations. overall this is a great accommodation and we would definitely recommend this place to other people.

Airi was very friendly and helpful, we stayed at her apartment, which was lovely and had a beautiful view of the sea. The surroundings were spectacular but maybe were bit difficult to move by foot, but there were busses that connected to shimoda station.

We really loved our stay here. The space is small but we’ll organized and. Comfortable, with room for your belongings. The place was spotless and the location was perfect for everything. We would come back again.

Two of us stayed for two nights, but it was a very clean, comfortable and functional room.The parking lot was also easy to understand, and the convenience store was a 1-minute walk away.I cooked myself, but the kitchen was small, but it had everything I needed, and there was a washing machine, which was easy to spend time in.The bath is small, but it is a famous area for hot springs, so it is recommended to enjoy the bath outside.Also, the unit bath is small, but it has a function as a dryer, so my clothes got quite wet due to the rain this time, but it dried quickly.There is also a drying rod hanging from the ceiling in the bedroom, so it was useful for drying it after washing.It was quiet and warm with double windows.I was able to use the room extensively, even though it was a relatively small room, and I had a comfortable stay with two adults.Thank you!

Ken’s apartment is wonderful. It has all the amenities required for a family stay. We were able to cook our dinner and breakfast, do laundry (washing and dryer included). The place is strategic, very short walking distance to Enoden Yanagikoji Station. We parked our car at the house and take the train to explore Kamakura area. It was a perfect house for us. The weather was not good this time, and I did not see the beautiful sea, but the second floor of the landlord's house faces the sea. If the weather is good, or if you go in summer, the sea will be felt as soon as you open the curtains, it will be beautiful!Check in again next time

We loved how clean the Airbnb was and its proximity to the beach and good restaurants. The host went above and beyond to prepare child futons for us. The Airbnb was well stocked with cleaning supplies and everything we needed.

Hiroki was the host during our stay. The place really did match the description and actually exceeded our expectations. Hiroki was always a generous, friendly and helpful host while also sensitively respecting our privacy. And his English is perfect which also helped! He told us this had been his grandfather’s house. He still runs a super community cafe and gift shop adjoining the house. The garden is really lovely too. And the bikes! The house was perfect for our small family reunion in Japan. Chigasaki is a lovely town, off the international tourist map but with gorgeous coastline, surfing scene, Hawaii vibes!, views of Mount Fuji and fabulous restaurants and bars. Also very well connected by train and a great local bus which stops right outside the house. Day trips to Enoshima, Kamakura, Tokyo and Hakone. Also took a weekend to visit Kyoto by bullet train. All a perfect introduction for a first (or subsequent) visit to Japan.

My partner and I had a wonderful relaxing stay, the views of the mountain and ocean are lovely. The space was clean, comfortable, with a homey feel. Noriko was so accommodating and kind, we would stay again.

This is my second time staying at this lovely house, and once again, it exceeded my expectations. The place is spotlessly clean, with a peaceful and beautiful surrounding that makes it perfect for a relaxing getaway. Rie is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and always ready to help. This time, I didn’t venture out much and instead spent most of my time enjoying the comfort and calm of the house itself. It truly feels like a home away from home. I would definitely love to come back again!

Tomoko is a very friendly host who greeted us when we checked in. She provided us with lots of recommendation and places to see in Niigata. Communication is not a problem with a translator. Tomoko’s place was spotless and it is a beautiful and very comfortable house by the seaside. I highly recommend tomoko’s place if you are visiting Niigata! Niigata is a very nice prefecture, with fantastic food, seafood, soba and do not forget to purchase kitchen knives 🔪 made in Niigata! Thank you so much Tomoko for hosting us. There was nothing my family and I didn’t like about our stay—we were absolutely delighted the moment we walked through the door. One of the nicest Airbnbs we’ve come across, and it was perfect for my family of four. The amenities provided were abundant, and everything was new and spotlessly clean. I would recommend this home to my friends without hesitation if they’re making Odawara a base for visiting Hakone.

The location is the best and the best place to stay for surf trips. The optional meat and boat rinse were great!

Lovely place. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Host was flexible with my check in time as I wasn’t sure what time I arrived til I got on the train. As it was raining on the day I left, host was kind enough to offer to drive me to train station as well as work out the train timetable for me. I couldn’t have asked for a lovelier experience.

The place looks better than the photos and is beyond our expectation. We all enjoyed the stay! Hot pot stove and pot will be provided upon request, we had shabu shabu during the cold winter night which is awesome! The place is spotlessly clean. Everything is great. The sun rise view from the room is spectacular.

The condo is located right off the main drag and directly across from a semi-private cove of one of the best beaches in Shimoda! The photos are true to life, the place was in pristine condition, all appliances worked out perfectly, and the bedding was super comfortable! Cheryl is a great hostess! The one thing we wish we could have changed was the weather, as it was misty and windy during our stay, and then of course, the sun popped out the day we had to leave :( Hoping we can get a do-over and land Cheryl's place again some day!

This place was great! Right next to the beach, nice views, and in a really cute, peaceful area. It’s close to a train station, so wasn’t hard to get our luggage to and the place was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again!

Messaging was also smooth and even arranged for a sashimi boat. The location is also ideal for families and large groups.
