A beautiful house located in Matsue — a city where you can truly experience a traditional Japanese atmosphere. The 2 tatami bedrooms and 1 western style space can accommodate up to 5 people, making it a perfect place for families or a large group of friends who wish to take a break from the city-life. You will have part of the house to yourself, and the real kitchen and shower room areas will be shared with host, but guests will have a private little kitchen and a private toilet room.

A Satoyama Private Retreat in Nara

A private Satoyama retreat in the mountains of Nara, just 20 minutes from the city. This traditional one-group-per-day house is renovated with reclaimed wood and uses fresh mountain spring water. Enjoy hands-on cooking with organic rice and vegetables from our farm. Relax in a wood-fired bath, and in the morning experience a Japanese tea ceremony surrounded by nature. A 130-year-old Japanese farmhouse, restored by the host, is now a private retreat. Traditional beams, tatami rooms, an irori hearth and wood stove offer an authentic yet comfortable stay. From the windows, the Central Alps and peaceful countryside unfold, and at night the sky glitters with stars. Try the fire-heated goemon bath, cook in the kitchen or over the hearth, and pick seasonal vegetables from the garden. A place to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply be.

【Teshima’s Ocean View Retreat Tokuto】Queen Villa

Tokuto is a newly renovated private mansion built in the 1940s on Teshima. The property is conveniently located about 10mins walk from Ieura Port. Enjoy the luxurious architecture of the past, such as the authentic hand blown window glass and the beautiful gardens with an abundance of stone lanterns. The building consists of 2 villas. We accept one group for each building. If you like to connect with nature, we have a veggie garden and pet goats.

Yokoya Farm is an apple farm located on a hill. 10 mins drive from downtown of Matsumoto. We’ll host you with the idea that we want you to enjoy staying at farmer’s storehouse, kura. It’s comfortable enough to stay with minimum facilities and it left the feature of the original building. (One group only for a day) You’ll enjoy to see an apple farm. *If you have small children who can sleep with you, you can make a reservation for 5 people.

"Genki House", a house near Kumano Hongu-Taisha

It’s a house 8km from the Hongu Taisha. (about 15 minutes' drive) If you have a car it's more convenient, but if not I'll be happy to drive you to and from a bus stop or a tourism spot in Hongu area. My family run an organic farm, bakery, NPO offering long-stay for the youth, and an alternative school for children nearby. You'll have some loaves of bread from our bakery(^^)/ （If you don't eat bread please let me know beforehand)

Guest-House-Suginoko（Chartered one building）

A 150-year-old traditional Japanese inn for private use. Enjoy local cuisine made with plenty of yuzu juice by the 88-year-old proprietress Emi-chan, as well as a traditional hearth and Goemon bath. *No WiFi/internet access *Meal costs are payable in cash at the location. *Guests are not permitted to use the kitchen. At an altitude of 650m, it is cool all year round, and you can enjoy waterfalls.
