Villa & Camping between NARITA Airport & Tokyo

It was a beautiful stay with Noriko as the perfect host. The house is clean and the area is calm. We really felt we were in a little sanctuary. Also Noriko brought us to the supermarket and to the station which was really nice. We also bought some of Noriko’s beautiful ceramics. Furthermore, the place is quiet and the birds sing lovely. We made a nice walk through the area and as a bonus, Noriko has a Samurai house in her garden which belonged to one of her ancestors!

HOLIDAY HOME 2

川﨑 悠加Rating, 5 stars5 months ago
The smile and kindness of the staff were very healing. I asked for a car to be picked up and picked up, but the driving was very polite, and I was able to arrive without getting drunk even if I was weak in the car. When I arrived, I immediately felt at home with a welcome drink, a great view, and a clean room. I definitely wanted to use it again for the speed of responding in times of trouble and attention to detail. Thank you very much.

[Entire rental accommodation] Our hideaway where you can spend your time as if you lived there

ElyseRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We really enjoyed our stay here! The house is adorable and gives you a good feel of Japanese home life. It has everything you could need. It is very walkable to konbini and restaurants. The hikes and nature nearby are lovely. My son and I enjoyed the garden (fun for some no-too-tricky hide and seek!). Would definitely stay here again!

Great place, perfect for our family. Had everything we needed to cook with our fussy kids. Jason was great with his guide before we came so we were prepped. Really appreciated the little touches and the tips provided.

Artistically renovated Akiya, entire home

航大Rating, 5 stars1 month ago
It was a pretty last minute booking, but they were very polite. There were plates, nets, charcoal, etc. necessary for the barbecue, and I was able to visit it comfortably. Also, it was helpful to have a place to touch the refrigerator, etc. with shoes. It took me a long time to boil the open-air bath, but I had a very nice experience. The house itself had a very good atmosphere and was clean, so we had a pleasant stay.

Private cottage in a forest with BBQ and bonfire

RyuichiRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I stayed here to focus on some work on my laptop, and it was perfect — super quiet and private, with almost no one around. There weren’t any supermarkets or convenience stores nearby, which was a bit inconvenient, but it wouldn’t have been a problem if I had a car. Since it’s pretty deep in the mountains, next time I’d like to come with a car or a bike! The Wi-Fi was great too — I got 76Mbps download speed on the Fast speed test, so everything ran really smoothly. I’d definitely come back! 🫶❤️✨

Guest-House-Suginoko(Chartered one building)

DanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This is only for the truly adventurous that want to experience mountainous rural Japan with the most traditional experience possible. Emiko-san makes the most authentic traditional shikoku dinner and breakfast which is truly unforgettable. The hut is a beautiful preservation of traditional Japanese homes, renovated with a wide front facing glass wall that gives full view of the surrounding mountains. Hitoshi has also renovated the outside bath with a modern sink and provides clean towels etc. that you would expect of any modern accommodation, but it’s paired with the old Japanese wooden bath tub which Hitoshi fills with hot mountain water. But it’s important you know what you sign up for. It’s 1-2 hrs of winding and narrow mountain roads which we were lucky to do in the dry season. It would be quite horrifying in heavy rain. If you want real Japan and aren’t scared for a bit of adventure, this is an experience you won’t regret.

Our stay at Lee and Dayna's farm was our very first in the Ryujin area, and what a refreshing departure from city life! We reveled in the peaceful nature settings, from the clean air to the serene surroundings. A major highlight was the fresh and wholesome food prepared by our hosts – every meal was a delight. Their warm hospitality truly made this a memorable experience.

Part of a Japanese house surrounded by peach trees

CamrynRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
staying here was a major highlight of our trip! we truly enjoyed satomi’s home and the beautiful farm she maintains. The food she prepared was delicious and homemade (breakfast and dinner). Satomi spent time talking with us about the farm, japanese lifestyle, and much more :) her positivity and humor was wonderful. she even picked us up from the airport. If you are looking for something to do, there is an additional cafe 30-40 minutes walking distance from the house. it was near a pond and had wonderful tea and desserts. we would love to stay again if we returned to the okayama area! thank you satomi!

WELCOME TO JAPANESE HOUSE!

DavidRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My second stay with Tomoyuki since two years ago. Everything went beautifully as expected. The weather was not cooperating on one of the four days but that allowed me to stay in to enjoy this vintage tradition home and felt the tranquility it presented itself on a rainy day. The hike nearby was kimochīi (feeling great). The izakayas recommended were subarashī (wonderful). Tomo introduced me to spend a day at Mashiko. The famous pottery town was preparing for the upcoming Golden Week event and I appreciated "the calm before the storm" time strolling the quiet town. Some keepsakes were bought. I look forward to another visit soon, maybe in a different season to appreciate the range of activities available around the area.

Junko’s place is beautiful and incredibly well decorated. Every aspect is taken care of to make you feel cozy and welcome. Junko was very kind and welcomed us with a ride from the train station and a tour of the place. The place is located in a very beautiful part of the country, with lots of temples, shrines, and scenic routes nearby. We also were able to easily do daytrips to Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka.

Spacious and clean place. The attention to details shows how genuinely Hideki cares for his guests. Even though we never met him in person, he’s one of the best hosts we’ve had. Highly recommended.
