Our guesthouse offers lovely and bright rooms with wonderful sea-view. Enjoy our tasty breakfast and relax in our Spa&Wellness with both inside and outside hot tubs and sauna.
Hiking, looking for Elves, birds and Puffin. Just few things of many that you can do and see here.

The space
The rooms share access to 3 bathrooms and share access to well equipped kitchen. But if you are not up for cooking, you can enjoy tasty dishes in our restaurant on the ground floor.
The area around the guesthouse is famous for it´s well marked hiking routes and for it´s elf population. Don´t forget the Puffins. They arrive at their little island in the middle of April and leave in the middle of August. The Puffin-island is only 10min drive from the guesthouse and this is the best place in Iceland for puffin watching.

Our resort is located in an old fish factory. We bought in the year 2005 and we have totally renovated it with a lot of love and care. We always have had the history of the house in mind during our renovations and our love for the culture and the history shines through all our work.
In our restaurant we focus on working with local ingredients and we just love our craft brewery´s production, beers, gin and moonshine.
Our Spa offers both hot tubs and sauna´s, as well as beer baths and sea weed baths.

Where you’ll be

The village is a quiet fishing village with 70 inhabitants and one of the most beautiful places in Iceland. It is out of the beaten track but there is lot to do:
* Hiking: ask our staff for help in choosing the right hike.
* Bird watching: The Puffins are close by.
* Elfs: The elf queen lives in a grassy hill just outside our guesthouse.
* Relax: Relax in our Spa and get ready for the next day of your Icelandic adventure.
* Visit KHB Brewery&Distillery: Here we produce our own craft beer and also the original Icelandic moonshine, called Landi. Also unique and awarded Gin with 8 herbs & botanicals.

I live with my wife and our 3 children in Egilsstadir in the Eastern Part of Iceland.
We run a Resort in Borgarfjordur Eystri where we can offer you different types of accommodation, Spa service and Restaurant.
We are very proud of our restaurant where we focus on local ingredients and we make everything ourselves. We also have our own craft distillery where we produce both Gin and Landi, the true Icelandic Moonshine.
