Lake house holiday rentals in Houghton Lake

We stayed for a weekend with family and our fur babies and had an amazing time. Courtney let us check in earlier which was nice of her and we got to enjoy the water. The water was just as described crystal clear. House was super clean and cozy. We will definitely stay again next year.

Loved our stay here! Very beautiful area around the cabin and there is a nice beach like 5 minutes away. The boats were amazing, and everything was so well thought out - from the clear signage, to the variety of helpful items, to even having an extra propane tank for the grill. You can really tell they care for the property.

We enjoyed a lovely stay on Roger’s Pond. Zachary was very responsive and made us feel at home! We wanted a relaxing weekend and that’s exactly what we got! The view of the river did not disappoint and the view of the sunsets were spectacular. We loved that we had access to kayaks to explore the river.

Enjoyed the home especially that everyone has their own bathroom. My kids loved the lake and fishing. Beautiful place!

My second time stay and hope to return. House very clean, relaxing, and warm. Very convenient to town and restaurants. Orlando is a great host.

We enjoyed our stay at the lake with fishing and exploring the lakes in the paddle boat. The view of the water from the cottage and yard was picturesque and serene. While there are neighbors nearby, it was no issue at all. The neighbors were friendly and the overall area was peaceful. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. There is no AC, not a problem when we were there. Communication with Ruth was great. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay.

The house is great setup for a relaxing family vacation. It is a nice quiet lake with a private beach and great fishing off the dock and around the whole lake. Our toddler loved the sand toys and we relaxed around the fire pit after dark. We also explored kid-friendly activities in Big Rapids and Mount Pleasant during our stay. The house was well-equipped and we really enjoyed our time here!

My family and I stayed here for a Memorial weekend. We were able to relax and unwind in the beautiful house and yard. We loved the wood supply for outdoor fires and the kitchen for the ability to cook 2 dinners and all breakfast meals in it. We appreciated the comfort of the house and the quietness of the neighborhood

We had such a peaceful and restful time here. The kayaks and paddleboat were so much fun! We loved our mornings on the deck overlooking the lake. The beds were very comfortable so we slept like babies! We hope to come back again in the future. Thanks again for having us!

Mara’s Higgins Lake Life cottage is a hidden gem! We found the entire house very clean, the kitchen was as well stocked as my kitchen at home, and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit, the gas grill and the screened in front porch was nice for morning coffee. We even saw a deer right next to the driveway! We also enjoyed the close proximity to Higgins Lake State Park. I would highly recommend this house for your next vacation. Our 3 year old granddaughter didn’t want to leave!

Where do I start… this was the perfect getaway for myself, my husband and our fur baby. The house was exactly as described and is placed in the most peaceful neighborhood - while also being minutes away from everything Traverse City has to offer! Ramy is the most wonderful host; answering all our questions and suggesting some great local spots as well. We felt immediately at ease and truly could enjoy our vacation thanks to Ramy and this perfect lil home. We hope to be back next time we visit Traverse City! ☺️

Our stay in this cute little cabin was very enjoyable. It is clean and cozy. the bed was very comfortable. It has everything required for some rest and relaxation. Even our dogs approved. 🐾

We had a great stay! The house was perfect, everything we needed was provided. We really enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks. The covered back porch was great for eating all meals outside. Very relaxing and enjoyable!

This air b&b is awesome. Had a golf trip with a bunch of guys and it was super accommodating and comfy. Open living room perfect for group hangouts and conversations. Would recommend it to anyone!

Our group of six adults really enjoyed our stay at the Bear Lake Barnhouse. We rented side by sides from Rippin Razor rentals in St Helen & they delivered them and picked them up which is perfect because the trails are close by. We loved all the choices of fun things to do including the boat we decided to rent for our stay. Downtown Grayling is close by and the food at Ray's BBQ & Paddle Board was really good if your not feeling like cooking but if you do want to cook the kitchen is well equipped. There was even some oil, spices, foil & storage bags in the kitchen which was nice. We mostly ate out but we did cook hotdogs on the grill one night & enjoyed a bonfire afterwards during our 4 night stay. Nick was an excellent host very responsive & helpful. If in the area again with a group we would stay here again.

Lesa’s place was perfect for our stay! It was just described in the listing, kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed to cook. The place was very clean and the surroundings were peaceful! I would 100% book again!

We stayed here to visit family and we also wanted to do some skiing. We enjoyed being so close to the local ski hill, Snow Snake and also did day trips to Caberfae and The Highlands. It was perfect! We loved being across from the grocery store and so close to downtown! We went to Up North Coffee everyday and even placed a bulk order of their amazing mini cupcakes. We also loved the Jackpine Restaurant in downtown Harrison. The house was perfect! So clean and cozy!

This is the second time my golf outing group has stayed in Erika's home. We absolutely love this place. It is perfect for hanging out in the backyard and playing some outdoor games. the location is super convenient to a variety of golf courses. The home itself has ample beds and space for a group of 12. Finally Erika is always a pleasure to work with, she and her team are very quick to respond and we appreciate them so much. We hope to come back again next year.

Al was absolutely awesome. We had what we wanted and needed! They went above and beyond! Cabin was clean and had more than expected! Can’t say enough about the host!
