Holiday rentals with a patio in Idylwood

The rental was as shown in the photos. Easily walkable and centrally located to great restaurants (Tatte across the street had delicious breakfasts and sandwiches) and the waterfront. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very close to Reagan Int'l Airport, so you will hear planes taking off.

It was a great and very calm place to stay!

I stayed here while visiting a friend in DC, and the apartment itself was exactly my speed: comfortable, no-fuss, in a classic 1950s building, and a perfect view of the Capitol ( the balcony was perfect for morning-coffee contemplation). Everything was clean and as expected (ie: the WiFi and A/C saved my life). The free parking spot was also a major W against the hellscape of DC street parking. The host was genuinely the best. Every little question I had was answered kindly, which made the stay EASY. Also, having access to the gym was a nice touch (OK I mostly stared at the treadmill and called that cardio). Anyway, If you’re looking for something simple, well-located, with a direct window into DC, this is your spot. I’d absolutely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at Amy’s place for roughly a week while we moved into NVA. Her place was excellent and at a convenient location - short drive to the metro, lots of restaurants and shops nearby, and I really liked the peace of the woods behind the house. We definitely recommend staying here. Amy and was very proactive with offering assistance and recommendations, the apartment was clean and spacious, nice kitchen, and the bed was comfortable. Thanks for a great stay!

Erin offered very clear instructions that offered easy access. The Airbnb was spacious, very clean and had a super comfortable bed and pillows. It felt like you are in a lovely treehouse when sitting on the deck. It was lovely. The area is active and fun with great restaurants.

We loved staying here! Such a peaceful and beautiful neighborhood. We were able to walk to and from the zoo so easily which was perfect for us. The driving distance to go sightsee in D.C. was not bad either and the street parking was very convenient. Chris was always reachable in case we had any questions. Definitely would rebook here again!

The owner of the establishment did a good job of establishing and furnishing a pleasant place to temporary stay. The owner gave us the ability to park for free; which is a substantial plus in NW DC. Other than trying to get there and beat the incoming storms, my wife and I had no objections to their family's hospitality. My wife was satisfied with the location in proximity to locations to where she wanted to explore and go in and around DC via Metro and other forms of mass transit.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Falls Church, Virginia. The house was exceptionally clean, well-organized, and spacious — perfect for a relaxing and comfortable getaway. The location is strategic, providing easy access to nearby attractions while still offering privacy and peace. I particularly enjoyed the high-end amenities — from the advanced entertainment system to the fully equipped kitchen with top-quality appliances. The modern washing machine was a great bonus, making our stay even more convenient. The hosts were incredibly kind and professional, offering excellent communication and hospitality throughout the stay. The ample parking space was also a big plus, especially for larger vehicles. Highly recommended — I would definitely return again!

We had a wonderful stay at Shafia’s place! We enjoyed the area and rode the Metro from the Franconia Springfield station into DC. This was a great place to come back to at the end of the day. Beds were comfortable and the space was perfect for us. (Girls’ Trip!) We visited AmThai close by, Mount Vernon, Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant, The Library of Congress (tickets in advance), Zaytinya (reservations), the National Portrait Gallery, Virtue Feed & Grain (reservations), Old Town Alexandria, Old Town Books, the Swiss Bakery nearby, Barca (reservations), and Tous Les Jours Bakery & Cafe. Lauren was very nice and quick to respond to any questions I had. The room was clean and bright, I felt right at home. The neighborhood was super cute and I felt safe when returning later at night. Parking was available right out front for no additional fee. Would recommend to friends and if needed would rebook in the future.

This was a lovely, accomodating, and great home for the 9 of us that came for a place to stay to visit D.C. during Pride month! There was plenty of things to do in the house if there wasn’t anything to do outside and Kevin and his co-hosts were very communicative throughout the process. The place looked so much better than what the pictures made it out to be. My only complaint would be the the A/C sometimes didn’t feel like it was able to reach every part of the house so some places would get really hot and uncomfortable. Other than that, I would definitely book here again if I had another group trip to plan!

This property was very well listed, it was very clean and exceeded expectations. Easy parking and the place feels safe and clean. The hosts are amazing and we are very thankful for their hospitality. 15/10 recommend.

This was a short-notice trip, so our options were limited. We were fortunate that Diana & Vivek's place was available. It was more expensive than we're used to, but it was well worth it! There was great communication before and during our stay. The house was spotlessly clean. What really made it stand out was all kitchen stuff: spices, tools, snacks, drinks. I ended up needing to bake cupcakes & everything I needed was there except the mix, eggs, and frosting! The neighborhood was quiet - just what we needed. The backyard was big & beautiful, too. We'll happily stay there again if it's available when we travel to the D.C. in the future.

Wonderful stay from start to finish! Viet Hung is a kind and experienced host who went above and beyond to accommodate us—he was incredibly flexible with our very early 1am check-in. The home was even more spacious than it appeared in the photos, thoughtfully set up, and very comfortable. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, which made it easy to cook several meals, and the fantastic shower—perfect after a long flight. The location was ideal too, with beautiful nature trails nearby and plenty of shops just a short drive away. We also had the pleasure of meeting Viet Hung and his lovely kids, who were warm and welcoming. We’d absolutely love to stay again!

Eric was an excellent host. There were a couple issues and Eric addressed them immediately. Beautiful home, love the neighborhood.. felt like we were at home. Everything you need to enjoy time with family and friends.

Celia was one of the most accommodating hosts that I have encountered. She allowed an early check-in and late checkout. She had apples, bananas and nuts for snacks in addition to coffee beans and even a couple of containers of milk, so I didn’t have to run out for coffee. The space is in a historic house in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. It was quiet and there was a nice, private porch outback, which was a great spot for reading. The neighborhood itself is lovely with well maintained yards. A Metro station is about 1/2 mile away which allows easy access to all parts of DC. We were so happy with the accommodations, so I highly recommended Celia’s place.

Katie’s place was exceptional. It was spotless, stylish, and felt newly renovated. You truly can’t beat the location, right in the heart of Leesburg, yet peacefully tucked away on a quiet, charming street. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large, the kitchen was modern and has everything you need, and parking was a breeze. Every detail made for a relaxing stay. I highly recommend Katie’s place for anyone visiting the area.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The place was clean, well-designed, and very comfortable — it truly felt like a home away from home. The self check-in with a simple access code was super convenient and made everything easy from the start. The location is amazing — close to all the main tourist spots in Washington, DC. We were just minutes away from the National Mall, museums, monuments, and great places to eat. It was the perfect base for exploring the city. The host was kind, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Fast Wi-Fi, comfy beds, and a quiet, safe neighborhood made the whole experience even better. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting DC and would love to stay again!

The condo was pristine and so beautiful! The hosts were on top of all communication and flexible with us having two toddlers during our stay. It was an easy walk to Main Street and was equipped with everything we needed. Would recommend and definitely stay again!

Great apartment! Sean’s apartment is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. It is completely quiet at night and the bed is good. There is a good vibe in the neighbourhood and the apartment is less than five minutes from a Green Line metro station that will take you directly to the best art museums in the city. Sean and his co-hosts are very helpful and responsive. I hope to come back to Washington one day and if that happens, I will definitely try to book Sean’s apartment again.
