Sakura Ekan is a private guest house in Sakura Echo, a symbol of Shinshu, at the foot of Zenkoji Temple, a national treasure. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Zenkoji Temple. It is a modern Japanese-style building that has been renovated to take advantage of the retro atmosphere of the Taisho period architecture. On the way to Zenkoji Temple, there is the quaint Shukubo-dori, and beyond Zenkoji Temple, there is also Jojakyo Park, where Nagano citizens relax, the Nagano Prefectural Art Museum, and the Higashiyama Kaii-kan, so why not take a leisurely stroll.  There are also many cafes, bakeries, Italian, French restaurants, and eateries near the facility, making it convenient to eat out. You can also enjoy walking and eating Shinshu soba, a local favorite. There are many soba shops around Zenkoji Temple, as well as Japanese food and Starbucks. Enjoy a wood-burning sauna and a stunning water bath. There are no private houses around, so you can also watch music and movies with loud noise. Because it is a house nestled deep in the mountains, we do our best, but there are insects during the warmer months.It snows a lot in winter.In autumn, the leaves are dancing. You must also adjust the fire in the wood stove yourself. It's never an easy home to live in, but with a great view and experience. There is a full counter kitchen with stunning views and condiments and cookers so you can enjoy cooking.(No BBQ equipment)
