In the summer months tubers and kayakers float down the river past the house regularly. Downtown Indian River is just a short distance.

Pa's Retreat a Cozy Cottage for Fishing Families

Amazing fisherman's paradise. Burt lake access across the road & boat launch is just 1/2 mile away. Lots of parking. Lots of space inside to get ready for a day on the lake and for prepping family meals. This place is ideal for humble fishing families looking for a warm bed, hot shower, good meal, and a great time in the woods! We are off the beaten path, 15 minutes to town. Unfortunately, there is NO TV or WiFi, and cell service can be spotty. Perfect place to turn off electronics & get away!

Our guest house is on the second floor of our detached garage. It is at the end of a quiet road and is located off I-75 (exit 310 and 313), 3 miles from town, but 30-40 minutes from many other towns. Kayaks, small grill, camp fires on windless nights. No pets.

Loretta was an amazing host- she was so proactive, communicative, and went out of her way to ensure we felt right at home with our almost 2-year-old (she even left a sand shovel, pail, and truck for him to play with on the beach!). She checked in throughout our stay to ensure she had everything we needed and gave great recommendations for the area. The home was absolutely beautiful and we would 100% stay again in the future!

The host for friendly and proactive. He was quick to response with our questions. His place is very cute and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and it was very cleaned. My mom and I enjoyed it very much and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Exceptionally clean home that was decorated so pretty on a quiet, dead end street! We arrived later than planned so we had a tight schedule to see and do everything on our list. The home had everything we needed and more with kitchen wares, bathroom supplies etc. It was nice to relax on the back deck next to the water each evening when we got back for a few minutes and would love to visit again and have time to use the kayaks!! Tamara is super nice and a very caring person!
