Point Reyes Unique Creekside Home with Hot Tub

Truly a one of kind handmade, solar powered home of local materials filled with arts and crafts by local artists and treasures we have collected from around the world. Described by guests as “Asian Vintage” this sunny home sets perched above a year round creek and is surrounded by mature gardens and a forest of bay, oak and fir. About an hour from San Francisco and the Sonoma and Napa Valleys, 1.5 miles from Point Reyes Station and 2 miles from the Point Reyes National Seashore Visitors Center and Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Easily access beaches, waterways and parkland for hiking, swimming, surfing, kayaking, SUP boarding, mountain biking and all that West Marin has to offer. Or just enjoy unwinding in this comfortable and beautiful setting. Stroll down to the Inverness Park Market and Tap Room at the end of the street and enjoy some of the best food and drink in the area with a very local vibe. Entering the upstairs you will find a large living/dining/kitchen space constructed of huge beams, wide plank fir floors from wood milled on the property, a bank of windows with a bird's eye view of the forest and a large stained glass window. A fully equipped kitchen and stocked pantry allows you to cook up the bounty of Point Reyes farmers and purveyors on our vintage O’Keefe and Merritt stove. There is a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, mixer, coffee maker and blender. A Balinese dining table of coconut wood and tiger bamboo seats 6. The living area offers a comfortable pullout couch with a memory foam mattress. There is wifi and a smart TV with steaming Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon prime. Or enjoy any of the DVDs from our small library. A stereo tuner with an aux cable allows you to stream music from your 2.5mm jack equipped device. A deck off the living room has a table, chairs and a small gas BBQ. Also on the main floor is a sunroom with floor to ceiling glass and a glass roof, Balinese bamboo furniture, breakfast table and a side deck. The bathroom has a claw foot tub and shower. There is central heating with the thermostat located in the living area. Downstairs is a large, plush carpeted bedroom surrounded with rock walls, huge beams, a queen sleigh bed, lounge area, flat screen TV and a wood stove. Also a small, bright bedroom with a single bed and a small deck attached. An ante room between the bedrooms contains a wash sink and leads to a private rock walled, slate tile floored area with a dual head outdoor shower and hot tub. There is a laundry room for your use with a full sized washer, dryer, utility sink and linen storage. Outside you will find a stone patio with table, chairs and umbrella. There is a carport for 2 cars. Our son, David, lives on the property in a small separate cabin and serves as manager and caretaker. He will most likely be your point of contact here on Airbnb and throughout your stay. Please read the house rules in this listing and the house manual on the desk at the entry when you arrive.

Private and peaceful guest cottage in the Seahaven neighborhood of Inverness. It is 15 minutes from ocean beaches, bay swimming and the restaurants and shops of Point Reyes Station. This comfortable and clean one bedroom, one bath cottage is located down a long driveway that is shared by the main house and is surrounded by forest. Walls of windows in the bedroom and living room let in light and forest views, but the orientation of the house allows for privacy. The living room has a wood burning stove, small kitchen (oven, stove, small refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster), small TV with cable and DVD, wireless internet, a deck with table and radiant floor heating. The bedroom has a queen bed. The bathroom has a full bathtub with shower and the toilet is in an adjoining room. Towels and linens are provided. Two sides of the property border the state park, and the cottage is only minutes from beaches on Tomales Bay. Maximum occupancy is 2. No pets. No Smoking. 1 night minimum. Please give us at least two days notice for bookings.

Absolute peace, fresh air, and a five minute stroll from park trails. Quiet and crime free, the Artist Retreat is worlds apart from urban excitement. Guests are amazed by its beauty.
