Literally the perfect place for a weekend getaway — hot tub, bbq, and firepit - plus a walk to a good pub nearby. Had an amazing time and all went very smoothly. Will definitely be coming back!

We had a lovely stay in Adrian’s eco house, it was surrounded by a beautiful vineyard and we made very good use of the hot tub! Adrian was very communicative and helpful and I’d recommend this house for anyone looking for a peaceful stay in beautiful countryside.

Absolutely stunning lodge, was exactly what we wanted. Very spacious and was bigger than expected. The hot tub added a little extra something. Everything you would need for a weekend stay. Fantastic surroundings, including the friendly horses that would come to their gate for a stroke. Beautiful location with a country park not far for a great walk. Overall a brilliant stay and would highly recommend!

beautiful lodge in a quiet area which would be great for any fishing fans. only 30-40 mins from a selection of great beaches too, so an ideal location for exploring the area. Ruth was a great host and even dropped off some freshly laid eggs and some plastic cups for the hot tub!

A great stay for our family. The perfect getaway from the madness of every day parent life! We enjoyed a 2 hour exploration across the acres of land nearby and some relaxation in the well maintained hot tub. The place was a home from home and extremely well kept. In the evening there were a few creepy crawlies, but expected in the countryside! The king sized bed was ever so comfy and the children slept well in the single bedroom next door. We would 100% recommend this place and would love to come back in the near future.

Lovely little cabin in a beautiful and peaceful location! Everything was to our liking, the hosts are warm and welcoming, and the cosy cabin was exactly what we needed! Everything was clean and tidy, and the back yard is just gorgeous!

We had a lovely stay. The cargo pod was just big enough for us and the facilities were great. The patio furniture could do with an update, but overall we are really happy

We had a lovely few days at the Mersea Retreat. It is very well equipped, comfortable and quiet and Emily is a very helpful host. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed walking on the beach and visiting the Mersea Island Museum. Hope to stay again. Many thanks.

Fantastic lodge, just as described, spotlessly clean, everything you could need. Ideally located to visit Maldon, Burnham, Leigh on sea etc. Good choice of country inns and cafes. Would definately stay again.

Firstly Sara.....so helpful, nothing was too much trouble and she responded really quickly to anything I asked. Secondly, the accommodation, it's perfect! Well equipped kitchen, really comfy sofa & a bath! It was perfect for us. Lots of quirkiness about the place, but most of all we felt right at home. Thank you Sara, we loved it x

We only stayed at Horizon Lodge from mon - Fri (and booked it on our arrival day!!!!) but we had such a wonderful stay. The view is stunning. We played family board games on the rainy bits, which is always nice when the sea is outside your window. We walked to Thorpeness along the seafront which I highly recommend. The lodge was spotless and very comfortable. It was also lovely and warm. We will definitely be back.

My daughters and I had a really restful stay in Sally's caravan; it was just what we needed. The caravan was clean and homely and was just a minute's walk from the beautiful beach. Would recommend and would definately come here again.

A stunning lodge with breathtaking views and the added luxury of a hot tub! The apartment was immaculate and finished to a very high standard, providing everything needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Emma is an outstanding and attentive host. We couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommended!

Liz was a fantastic host- so friendly and helpful. Finding the location could have been challenging, but she was more than accommodating to make sure we found the AirBnB after a long drive/arriving at night. The place was clean, just like the photos. Liz was a lovely host to communicate back and forth with- and she was even generous enough to allow a late check-out. Would highly recommend staying here!

Our stay at the cabin was absolutely lovely. It was a last minute bookings but Alex and Amy were very helpfully. Before we arrived the heating was turned on so we arrived to a very toasty cabin :), there is two double beds, a very comfortable cosy front room area with a tv, the kitchen had everything you needed including a large fridge with a freezer, the surrounding were beautiful especially at night you can see a lot of stars, we did arrive later then normal so was a little bit hard seeing where we going as it was dark (that’s our fault) but Alex saw us a little confused on his drive and helped straight away, was very peaceful and quite area, was 5-10 mins drive from everything. Would 100% stay again.

We had a fantastic stay! The caravan was absolutely lovely — very clean, spacious, and well looked after. It had everything we needed and felt really comfortable from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect for the wedding we were attending nearby, it was walking distance to the venue which made everything so convenient. A big shoutout to the host Scarlet, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay — quick to respond and even offered to help with check-in. Truly top-notch customer service! Would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thank you!

Kitty was so great with instructions and very responsive with any questions we had. The grounds are beautiful and the cabin was perfect for our stay, it was raining but still so nice to be in the cabin hearing the rain. Will definitely be coming back, thanks Kitty!
