Such a unique and beautiful stay!! Kim & Collin were the best hosts, so friendly, helpful and flexible. The river and waterfall by the house are magical. The room is cozy and the bathroom is big and pristine. It was such an adventure and Portland is so special. Big thanks to Kim & Collin I can’t wait to be back 💛❤️💚

My two friends and I visited Portland recently and stayed at Kimberly's place on the banks of the Rio Grande River. After being rowed across the river on a bamboo raft, we were met by Elijah, a member of staff and taken to our rooms. Shortly after we met Collin, Kimberly's partner, who greeted us with a huge smile, and showed us around the grounds of his place. We instantly felt relaxed and right at home. Collin is also a chef, so we opted for his home cooking rather than fumbling around in the kitchen. And we certainly weren't disappointed with our delicious chicken cooked in a tasty coconut sauce. In the morning, our breakfast of fresh fruits and traditional Jamaican banana porridge was ready on the dining table as we entered. During the day we went for a short walk to the breathtaking Mackenzie's Waterfall nearby. We spent some time swimming in the pools beneath the falls and having an amazing time. Kimberley and Collin are absolutely great hosts and. we will definitely be back

Great location, on Negril's 7 mile beach. Better than being on the beach. A simple walk across the street and still on the Owner's property. Easy beach access, with simple traditional (Momma's) Jamaican food and a beach bar. After all of the day's entertainment, it's nice to come back to the quieter side of the street. Hidden Paradise is a long-time traditional family-run operation. Most of the staff have been here for years. There is always a security man at the gate. Not that it ever felt needed, but you know the place is secure from any outside influence. Unwind and relax at the private rooftop pool, or take a nap. The grounds are immaculate with a Gardener that never quits. Housekeeping was impeccable. The basic rooms are certainly sufficient, or the larger units have a kitchen. You can step outside the gate and watch the evening street entertainment and enjoy Bigg's Jerk Chicken; cooked while you wait and enjoy a cold Red Stripe. There is also a top-notch independent Restaurant.

The only thing more beautiful than the airBnB/ beach were the people. Amazing stay, private but with the option to socialize if you desire. The staff at silver sands(front desk, drivers, bartender, etc) are sweet and very accommodating. The cook and maid are absolute sweethearts! If it’s your first time, bring cash with you as ATMs with USD are rare. A lot of places do take card but there are some that do not, plus, you should tip when if able! 10/10 would recommend!

I booked Rohan & Mauricia’s place for our family to spend some quality time together for the holidays. It was perfect for the occasion and we made some wonderful core memories here. Reading some of the other reviews I was a little hesitant before booking but I was pleasantly surprised with our stay, zero complaints. The area was tranquil, very peaceful. A one-of-a-kind authentic Jamaican experience in the countryside. It was remote, but only minutes away from Mandeville town by car. The property was spacious, clean and safe. Hot tub was a highlight! Kemar, who lives on site, made our stay go from great to exceptional. On arrival, the house was well stocked with all the essentials-soap, water, TP, etc. Kitchen had plenty of cookware and utensils. Throughout our stay, Kemar went above and beyond to accommodate any requests we had. He also took us to a local farm to buy fresh produce direct from the ground for our chrismtas meal. That in itself was a experience to remember. Thank you!

We had an incredible stay!!! Stunning place!! Beautiful and quiet! Felt safe and right at home. Upon arrival the home was spotless clean and easy check in instructions. Looked exactly like the pictures but even better in person. From the security, cleanliness and quick responses from host, this place will NOT disappoint you. The house has everything you need! The home is located in a gated community with walking distance to KFC, Devon house Ice cream 😋, juici patties 😋 supermarket, knutsford express and other restaurants. Swimming pool clean and nice. Ms. Kathleen and house manager were so nice, and SUPER responsive and proactive! I not only highly recommend this place but I would absolutely come back the next time I’m in Jamaica.

The location is perfect, it’s away from the hustle and bustle and it’s 5 mins to the beach, restaurants and some attractions. When I checked in the manager met me by the main and escorted me to the property which was amazing because I usually get lost easily. They have a cleaner, a round town driver and a cook!! All the staff were amazing, responsive and friendly. The cook did her thing and made me a delicious meals and that made it feel like home, It did come at a little extra cost but it was worth it 100% . In the morning I woke up to gentle bird singing and when I went outside I saw a bunny rabbit just being simple and beautiful. I enjoyed this stay because it brought me inner peace and reminded me that the simple things are what makes life beautiful. This property brought me peace! I’m definitely booking again. Unforgettable Villa was absolutely beautiful! My girl friend and I wanted to be in the sun, on the beach, without too many distractions, and that is exactly what we got. The Villa is far from the airport and the roads and rough, which should be considered when booking. The groundskeeper, Juba, was wonderful and definitely contributed to the incredible experience we had during our stay— he was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and very respectful of our space. The property itself was very beautiful… being able to walk out onto our balcony each morning to watch the pelicans hunt and the fish jump around, followed by beautiful sunsets in the evening was just breathtaking. We will definitely be back!! Thank you for our little slice of heaven!!

Mulberry Cottage exceeded all expectations for us. It was the most perfect, peaceful Jamaican hideaway. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. Mine had a fabulous large bath tub and an enclosed area outside the back door with an outside shower ...water spurting from a large shell in the wall. Heaven. I used this most of the time. Tia Maria has paid great attention to detail to make things pretty and comfortable. There is lots of hot water and the wifi was very good. I love the verandah at the front of the cottage where we sat reading on cushioned day beds. I felt so sad to leave Mulberry Cottage as I totally loved it. We were attending a fun, sociable wedding but to return home to this sanctuary was the perfect contrast to all the partying.

The place was beautiful! It was like a hut attatched to a big house, but still felt very private. The flat was well equiped with everything you need, with a nice private kitchen and bathroom. The garden and the porch was rally great. Thank you so much Lars and Antoniette for the stay. We enjoyed it a lot.

It was an absolute joy to stay at Easyman’s place for 1 week. Portland is a natural paradise, hidden away from the main tourist spots it feels like authentic Jamaica I loved being surrounded by nature, all the tropical plants, trees & animals. The neighbourhood felt safe & friendly, music plays loud through the night if you want to go for a drink at the many small bars along the road The cabin is simple but has everything you need. Kitchen is well equipped, bed is comfy (with mosquito net), cold shower is refreshing, fan keeps you cool at night… Yes there are a couple of bugs but this is natural living! Winnifred Beach is just a 10-15 min walk through the forest…. It’s not a luxury beach but a beautifully natural beach which I walked to everyday! I enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear sea & the home made jerk chicken from Doreen’s is delicious If you want an escape from the city, to enjoy the simple beach life & to connect with nature - I highly recommend this place

This was my second time staying at the cottage. It’s so peaceful and spacious and clean. The garden with various fruit trees and herbs is super lush and relaxing. John is an excellent host, he provided all the transportation as requested, including the airport. He’s an excellent cook of ital natural foods. He was always available to go to the beach at nine mile or to pick up groceries and also to restaurants and bars. There are beautiful cliff side hotels nearby with great spas (Rock House). It’s a natural lifestyle in an authentic Jamaican setting.

My stay was good the staff was friendly and the environment very well kept the beach is out of this world water is warrrm I will be returning soon Definitely home away from home and grounded space

perfect bohemian getaway in treasure beach. 10 minute drive to the beach and jake’s. kerstin was an amazing host — responsive and welcoming. the area is quiet peaceful and secluded. the house had everything we needed and a great patio on the back for relaxing and catching the breeze. will be back !

What an amazing stay in this beautiful private oasis. Along with very responsive answers to our pre-trip jitter questions, we were greeted by the kindest of people who has known the area since being a child. We were given great tips on places to go locally as well as for day excursions to do thru out our stay. The house felt super safe in the gated mini lane complex and was fully equipped with all the tools we needed to live at a not-for-want pace. Fans + AC in all areas made the outside heat a non issue. The backyard is ultimately a gem! Morning blue mountain coffee sits while watching the lizards play and listening to all the different kinds of birds in that garden felt incredibly special. I personally loved the arrangement of white stone decor objects mixed with the beautiful arrangements of plant life. Definitely recommend this lovely home away from home for those wanting to carve their own path in MoBay while still keeping it chill and low key.

We found this Little Cottage to be a wonderful place of respite. A tranquil, relaxing setting was exactly what we needed and we were so grateful to have found it. A few maintenance issues were quickly resolved thanks to communicative host. Conroy was a great help as well and we did a bit of food shopping nearby which allowed us to prepare simple meals. The water is rather deep so it’s important to watch the tides and be confident in one’s swimming abilities. WiFi was superb and the shady hammock, covered porch, and outdoor seating allowed us to spend most of our time outside even when it rained.

My entire stay was amazing the house was amazing the host checked on us daily to ensure our stay was immaculate beside being charged for one of my friends getting make up on a white towel which is ridiculous but it is what it is

Peaceful environment. Great Host, Great Community, Lovely people and great introduction of Jamaica. 🇯🇲 This place is a home away from home. Book here and you won’t be disappointed. There is a river nearby where my family and I got a chance to go to to wash our clothes. Andrea is a great host and a beautiful soul. Her husband gave us lots of different fruits that we were able to try and it made our stay even that much more better. Their grandmother on the property is a very spiritual, nurturing and loving woman. I am so glad that I got a chance to be able to meet such amazing people. Thank you for the great experience. we loved the cabin. Christine was a perfect host and was helpful throughout the process. I would recommend this cabin and would 100% stay again.

Mr. Byron is a SOLID guy; modest, dependable, and respectful - a real General. He is not a man of many words but, once you get him talking he is a phenomenal storyteller. While up on his yaad, enjoy the medicinal value of his land; he happily shares his fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Just ask. Enjoy the view!

Our stay at Tip-Sea was for 1 month, the only bad thing we have to say are 2 things 1) couch in living room (not sleep able) 2) outside propane/brick bbq - the rack is rusted can not cook on it, and the bricks are all falling apart - needs a lot of attention Herbie - the grounds keeper is very helpful and enjoys his job! If you love camping style living - this is the place to rent (private) Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home in discovery bay - we loved it ❤️
