By car you can swiftly reach cities as Ghent (35min) or Antwerp (40min). A secure parking space is available (12€/day). There are all kinds of stores and restaurants nearby. This studio has everything you need for a pleasant stay (new bedding, equipped kitchen, internet, etc.). It is on the 2nd floor of a small building without elevator access located at the foot of the Basilica and close to several shops (grocery stores, bakeries, pharmacies, etc.). You will find a tram stop around the corner and the nearest metro station (Simonis) will take you to the city center in 10 minutes. You can also easily park your car in the neighborhood.
