Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Jo Daviess County

Stayed here for a sisters weekend- and it was great for 6 sisters between the ages of 60-75. Two bedrooms on main floor and 2 downstairs worked great for us. Things were a little dated- but hey- so are we. We had a couple of issues that needed attn and James was most attentive and took care of them immediately. I would recommend. Great value for 6 women with varying needs! Especially loved the hot tub in the natural surroundings!!!

This was our second time at Jennifer's place and it was just as perfect as it was the first time. We brought our daughters with us this time, and they slept on the pull out couch and loved it. It was the perfect space for our family. The amenities are a plus. We went to the indoor pool at the Owners Club which was nice and enjoyable and we played the board games one of the nights, which were provided. I highly recommend this place. It's quiet, peaceful, there are walking paths, and it's about 10 to 15 minutes from Main Street. We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay at Guy’s. There had been a small issue where the cleaning crew had not been in or had not finished by the time we arrived. Guy made it right while we enjoyed dinner in town. The amenities at the Owner’s Club were amazing. Everyone had space to spread out, no one on top of one another. We would gladly come back to Guy’s!

I grew up in Saint donatus and know a lot of the locals down at Massey, it was an honor staying close to friends and family again. A remote location that captures the serenity and peacefulness of Iowa. I loved showing my wife and daughter the lands I used to call home.

Michelle’s home was wonderful. The location is very serene and the house was exceptionally clean and well equipped for a relaxing stay. The house has bedrooms and bathrooms on all three levels, along with a screened in porch, multiple decks, and two fireplaces, with easy access (no stairs) to the main entry. Seating throughout the home is invitingly cozy and comfortable. There was a welcome basket of treats in the kitchen, such a nice touch. We really enjoyed our time at this lovely home.

We had a great stay at the cabin for my brother’s bachelor party weekend. We played 2 golf courses, ate at one of the resort restaurants, and went downtown for dinner one night. It’s a 2 minute drive to the courses and 10 minutes to downtown. Great location that sat on one of the par 4s.

Perfect stay for our girls’ getaway! We stayed here to celebrate our bride-to-be, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The place was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was amazing—just a short distance from the shops in Galena, which made exploring so easy. It was the perfect spot to relax, enjoy time together, and make special memories. Highly recommend for any group looking for a charming and convenient stay!!

Joel’s place was absolutely beautiful! It was secluded and peaceful but also very close to down town. I loved drinking my coffee outside in the mornings it was so peaceful! I’d recommend Joel’s air bnb to anyone wanting to travel to galena. I’d go back in a heartbeat! Joel was a great host. He gave us all the information and checked In on us throughout our stay. We had a great time!

Suite 303 in Ulysses Suites was the most luxurious and pristine Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. It was absolute heaven. Beautiful, clean, convenient, and comfortable. Even the common areas outside of the suites were gorgeous and spotless. I love that the lobby has still and sparkling water on tap. This was worth every penny.

We had a wonderful stay at Ulysses Suites! The location is great—right in the heart of downtown Galena so we could park on arrival and walk everywhere. Our suite was beautifully decorated and spotless, with a perfect mix of historic charm and modern comfort. The steam shower was such a luxurious touch, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—we slept better than we have in ages. Everything felt thoughtfully designed and high quality. Check-in was easy, and communication was clear and friendly. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

This was my fourth time staying at Sandys and each time is just as enjoyable as the last. Her new wallpaper in the kitchen, bedrooms, and master bath are beautiful. She has a real knack for decor. She's always super helpful, kind, and her breakfasts dont disappoint! If you're looking to relax in a peaceful setting, but still be close to downtown Galena, this is THE place to stay.

Place was absolutely perfect and exactly as described. Location was great for anything and everything that we wanted to do. Will definitely stay again on our next trip to Galena.

Beautiful place with lots of space/beds/bathrooms for our girls weekend in Galena! Couldn’t get a better location either, right off of Main Street. Well decorated and stocked with all the essentials. Would highly recommend staying here! (If you are ok climbing a flight or two of stairs).

Our stay was wonderful. We wanted to stay in town, but not at a B&B. s Jack's place was perfect and he couldn't have been friendlier. Great location, true to the pictures, precise instructions to get in. The window cleaners set off the fire alarm in the building and he was quick to reach out to us with an apology. Jack recently acquired this building and gave us a tour of the other units and common area he's rehabbing. He has kept the historical touches and lined the walls in the building with photographs taken by his mother. Complimentary coffee is offered from his coffee shop downstairs, and the employee couldn't be friendlier. It's been a while since we've been to Galena, and we'll definitely be back soon and staying here!

We had a fantastic stay at Joan’s place! Everything was spotless, beautifully decorated, and the location was perfect. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Galena.

This condo is perfect for a little getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. The bed was comfortable! The jet tub was relaxing and perfect for 2 people! Downfall is that the shower head is VERY small and there’s a weird clunking behind the toilet, in the plumbing.

The place was amazing in almost every way. The only one thing that was odd as it said it sleeps 4, but there was only one bed with sheets and blankets. On the couch bed, we had to contact housekeeping to get sheets and there were not any blankets for it. We did find extra pillows in the apartment though. Otherwise the place was wonderful, very cozy, clean, and comfortable. We loved it. It was a nice and quiet place to stay. The club amenities were awesome to have too.

We enjoyed our stay. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is very well stocked, and living room couches very comfortable. Overall very pleased with the accomodations.

Great place, would stay again for sure. The location is nice- quiet and private and about a 12-minute drive from downtown Galena. It was clean and cozy, the beds were comfy and host communication was timely and clear. Check out to do list was very reasonable and simple. There’s a working wood fireplace and plenty of wood for guest use which is such a nice bonus and walking trails are close and accessible. We didn’t have time to check out the clubhouse facilities but instructions and access seemed easy and straightforward.

Dana’s place was our home away from home while we explored the Galena territory. The home was beautifully decorated and maintained. It looked just like the pictures. She was so proactive in communicating and responding. I would say that she is the best host we have had through Airbnb. I would highly recommend staying at her home if you are going to Galena. Thank you Dana!! We had a wonderful time.

Nice and spacious! Easy to park & get inside. It’s a big place for only having two bedrooms. The sofa bed worked fine for our boys except the big window made so it got light in there too early. The hosts are nice & helpful 👍🏽 Two things we didn’t like. * None of the bedrooms are connected to a bathroom. * The bedroom with the king bed has sliding double doors that looks pretty, but even shut all the way has a crack in the middle.
