Guesthouse holiday rentals in Kachemak Bay

My husband and I just returned from Homer and Mark and Marie's rental was our absolute favorite part of the trip! We were greeted by Marie who was working in her pottery studio - she was so friendly and made sure to let us know that they were available if we needed anything at all. The rental was immaculate - the cleanest Airbnb I have ever stayed at! It was so cozy and comfortable - we enjoyed the peace that comes from reading books, going on walks, and french press coffee and tea from the gorgeous handcrafted mugs made by Marie. In the morning we ventured out and visited the nearby trails and saw lots and heard lots of birds. The rental had absolutely everything we needed and then some. While we did end up eating out for all of our meals, we could have easily brought along groceries and cooked everything there. Before we left we purchased one of Marie's beautiful mugs and I will forever be reminded of our lovely stay. We will most definitely be back!!

Suzie's place was wonderful! Arrived in Seldovia for a couple days trip to bike around and explore. Her place was perfectly located within the historic boardwalk area with easy access to local roads and trails. The weather was pretty soggy for while we were there - we didn't mind! - but we very much appreciated Suzie offering us boardgames and an extra late check out to let us stay cozy while waiting for the ferry. We hope you have a great winter, Suzie, and thanks so much for hosting us <3

LOVED our stay. Cozy, private, peaceful and was such a bonus to have our pup along with us. The cottage was equip with everything that we could have needed. Plus the view was more incredible than we could have imagined. What a gem.

Scott & Esa are one of a kind hosts and their house is absolutely magical. Home sits on the big green lot surrounded by stunning mountains, water and clouds. Everything is the house is above and beyond. Everything is new, comfortable, clean and put together with the highest attention to detail. Chefs kitchen, knives, everything you can only ask for to cook is there. Comfortable beds, linens, brand new towels and a ample of space everywhere. It's easy to find it it. Hosts are like no other! kind, thoughtful, helpful. They left for us amazing home made muffins and gave us fresh eggs! they are truly one of a kind hosts. In all my years of renting homes ( 20+) I have never met such wonderful, big hearted family and stayed in the house that is as gorgeous, and special as it is. If you are considering Homer, don't think twice. This is a pure magic place and home of your dreams. Thanks you Scott and Esa for all the love! and plus - golf is just 50f away! its a plus :-)

We loved our stay at the cottage. The space is comfortable and the kitchen has all that is needed to cook small meals. The bed is comfortable and you can’t have a better view of the bay. Jordin and Trina are very accommodating and ready to respond to any questions.

This place was incredibly cozy and was perfect for what we needed. The fireplace heats up fast and the warmth retains quite well. There was perfect lighting, the bedding was comfortable and the kitchen had a gold setup. The directions to get to the place were very helpful.

A truly unique and fabulous place. Everything about this rental was thoughtfully designed and laid out. The bathroom was a major wow!!!! With dual shower-heads and a soaking tub. I will definitely be back here.

Susan was very responsive and the place was great but there were a couple of things that surprised us. The place is very nice, new and clean which is important to us. Since it is just a two bedroom with a kitchenette the only chairs, or place to sit, would be four metal folding chairs that can be set up at the end of the Murphy bed when it is down. If the bed is folded up, then there is a small extendable table that can be pulled away from the wall so that you can set the four folding chairs around it but aside from that, there isn't any place to comfortably sit inside. The other thing that surprised us is that when we received confirmation of our reservation, the instructions stated that no children under 12 were allowed. This wasn't an issue for us but it would be good information to know up front. I typically travel with two grandchildren and it would have been frustrating to find that out after I spent considerable time deciding which place to reserve. Great place though.

Teena was very friendly and easy to communicate with. The place was super comfortable and the property itself was beautiful. There is tons of room for the pup to sniff around and roll in the grass. We booked a dinner across Halibut Cove (on the Danny J which is amazing, but that's a review for another time). It took us more than 15 minutes, but less than 20 minutes until we were parked and and at the bottom of the ramp for boat pickup. The point is it's close. The drive to and from the property is why you come to Alaska in the first place...the views! The drive up the hill is gorgeous. If you're looking for a place in Homer, we highly recommend staying here. Thank you Teena!!!

Shannon was a great host and responded to all emails quickly. There were extra welcome items and more amenities than listed. Such a great place to stay.

This place was great and we would have extended our stay if it was available. It was spacious enough with a sunny deck and spectacular view. A kitchen with everything we needed. Laundry. Highly recommend.

The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Great restaurant recommendations. They had fishing gear available as well which was a welcomed addition. Kept our feet dry and warm all day. All of the little extras really made us feel us at home.

I had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin in Homer, Alaska. It perfectly captured a rustic Alaskan vibe while still offering all the comforts of home. The cabin was clean, well-stocked, and had everything I needed—from comfy bedding to a fully functional kitchen. But the real highlight was the view: waking up each morning to stunning sights of the mountains and the Homer Spit was truly unforgettable. I’d absolutely recommend this spot for anyone looking to relax and take in the natural beauty of the area.

We loved our stay in Homer, the appt was very clean and had everything we needed. The view was just beautiful!! Bob greeted us upon arrival, showed us around and was always available for questions or anything we needed. He was even kind enough to offer extras like boots and a cooler for our fishing trip, which worked out great and was much appreciated. The only regret was that we didn’t have more time to relax here. We arrived late, left early and had a very full schedule during our stay. Next time we’ll plan to stay a little longer. Also, sorry that we didn’t get to meet Leslie, as she was very helpful and flexible in helping get this booked.

Lovely place. Immaculate condition and Bonni was really helpful, kind and so responsive. The views from the deck are stunning! One morning we had a moose in the backyard, eagles in the tree and a fox running on the beach. The stairs to the beach provide amazing access. Loved staying here!
