Traditional home nestled in the Cretan mountains. Very secluded, away from urban life, the accommodation is peaceful. Communication was seamless! We had a good rest! Note: since these are mountain roads, each journey takes about 25/30min minimum. Be sure to anticipate!

This is the perfect place for a peaceful and cozy getaway! The villa is located in the mountains — quiet, fresh air, and breathtaking views all around. A true oasis of tranquility. The sea is just an 18-minute drive away, and the village where the villa is located is a real Greek gem: authentic, peaceful, and full of charm. The apartment itself is wonderful — every detail has been thoughtfully considered. It’s incredibly comfortable and well-equipped. The beds are cozy, the kitchen has everything you might need, and the towels are soft and fresh. We especially appreciated the lovely welcome gift — a bottle of homemade raki! Konstantinos is an amazing host — always available, kind, and helpful. He gave us great tips on where to go, what to see, and which beaches are worth visiting. His recommendations really made our stay even more enjoyable. We absolutely loved everything — the atmosphere, the location, the attention to detail, and the care shown by the host.

We had a wonderful time staying in Koukounari apartment. With a small child in tow the location was perfect for us. The apartment was within walking distance to the beach and the beautiful old town. We greatly enjoyed the weekly market of locally produced food which was a stones throw away. The apartment was clean, spacious, stylishly decorated and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. Great attention to details have been made to cater for a family/couple’s needs. Eleftherios and Katerina were incredibly kind and welcoming; we’d definitely stay here again if we visit Chania in the future.

This is the best house we booked on Airbnb. So beautiful, super well equipped, peaceful. Great shower. Fantastic views. Theodosia was great and Michalis, the owner, received us with a big smile, raki and local products. Such a wonderful guy. It's a family run house. They also gave us a farewell gift, typical Cretan food prepared by Michalis mom. Also, a minute away from the house there is a rustic bar on top of the mountain with a view to the ocean called Petroula, named after a donkey which walks freely inside the bar! You can have an ice cold beer and watch the sunset and play with the beautiful dogs and puppies. Totally recommended with eyes closed!

Great accommodation with spectacular views - communication, check in, stay were super easy! Around it, there are some people who can look out over the outdoor area, which did not bother us because of the few people who were there at the time. The accommodation is surrounded by a great landscape, the E4 passes directly by the house. However, the routes to the hiking areas such as the White Mountain Reserve or the highest mountain of Crete are not less than 2 hours by car. We felt super comfortable overall and would come back :)

We were guests for 12 days and enjoyed our stay very much and we lacked nothing. The complex was very quiet and you could relax well. Most of the time, we were alone at the pool. Dimosthenis was very hospitable and on site every day and therefore always personally available. For excursions, you have to plan a little more time by car, as it is a bit more remote. But if you are looking for peace and relaxation, Dimosthenis is the right place for you!

Perfect mountain getaway House was comfortable and well equipped. We had a lovely week stay of tranquility and strenuous walking. Highly recommend if you want to escape the tourist crush
