Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. We absolutely LOVED our stay here. It was located in a more local area about 30-40 minutes from downtown Chania. We were surrounded by stunning views in the mountains. It was quiet, peaceful, and private. Sofia greeted us with such a friendly welcome and a delicious home cooked meal. She was very responsive too. We also enjoyed her local restaurant recommendations. The home itself is beautiful, it was lovely learning about its history and how beautifully traditional the home was kept yet equipped with many updated amenities. Note that renting a car is a must! We would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone.

Well appointed and peaceful location with views of the mountains. Beautiful garden with lots of places to sit in or out of the shade at different times of the day.

It was our first time in Greece, Crete and it was beautiful. The house was even better than the pictures, amazing view and perfect for 6 people. The elevator inside the house was perfect and the kitchen was lovely to spend time cooking and relaxing. It definitely felt like home and we wish we could’ve stayed longer 😍 I would definitely come back to this house again. Thank you for everything!

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa 1891. Alexandra‘s house is a real gem, which makes you feel at home instantly and provides a perfect escape from the stress of everyday life. The traditional old house is beautifully renovated and has kept its ancient charme, decorated with attention to detail. The house is very well equipped and has everything you need. Among oleander and olive trees, you will be sitting and relaxing on this beautiful terrace, enjoying the breathtaking view on the sea or taking a dip in the infinity pool. Alexandra was so kind and welcomed us in person with homemade pastries, local vegetables, a bottle of wine and other delicious treats. Kefalas is a beautiful little village with a couple of taverns and small shops. Everything else is just a short drive away. We stayed four nights and honestly wished we had stayed longer. We‘ll definitely come back!

Both Ioanna and Spiros were great hosts. Incredibly welcoming and responsive. Nothing was too much trouble. The villa was beautiful, the views from the pool amazing and it was easy to drive to the old town within 6 minutes. The walk to the beach was about 15-20 mins which we did once. I’d highly recommend this villa and the hosts. 😊

Sunset Villa - it’s peaceful location and surroundings, amenities, cleanliness and views - oh the views - ticked every box. We had the perfect stay. Doron was easy to communicate with and was very helpful and flexible. We hired a car and visited Chania, Rethymno, Kalyves, Vamos, Lake Kournas (hired a pedalo and saw the turtles) and had several lazy days on Almyrida beach. So many great places to eat down in Almyrida plus several tavernas easily walkable in Plaka. Highly recommend Elpis. Everywhere we ate the food was wonderful and the people so welcoming and generous. Complimentary bread, wine, dessert, coffee, Raki.. The villa offered everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the pool, and having breakfast and relaxing evenings on the terrace. we spent a week in this villa. it is perfectly equipped, clean, modern. the heated and large pool is very pleasant. it is 10 minutes from kissamos. The host was very helpful and responsive from the beginning to the end of the stay.

Book this Airbnb. Do not think twice. Nice to be greeted with wine and snacks after the flight over. 3 styles of coffee makers with coffee. Sugar, spices, olive oil and balsamic to get you started. 4 bedroom 3 full baths. Great living and cooking areas. Very spacious for our group of 7. Clean and comfortable. Equipped with everything you could ask for. We made a few terrific meals with the grill and kitchen equipment. Harilao has put a lot of thought and planning in to his home. Gorgeous outdoor space with heated pool. Indoors is clean and uncluttered. The views are lovely. 1 minute on walk up the street to fresh bread daily and cute market. 3 minute walk down the street is a bigger market. 4 minute walk to my favorite beach. 8 Euro for 2 chairs and an umbrella. Bar right there if you want a drink. Walk to coffee, pastries, restaurants and bars near by. We loved the home and beach so much that we slipped a few day trips. 5 stars. I hope to come back! The place was better than I expected. In reality, everything looked bigger than in the photos. We were therefore positively surprised. The view of the sea and mountains was beautiful. The hosts made a great effort and communicated wonderfully. We could imagine coming back.

This is a 10/10 Villa. We have travelled a lot and this is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children aged 2, 4, 9 and 11). The views are stunning, the pool is big, all the rooms have private bathroom. Jacuzzi is also perfect for when the sun goes down! Theo was a wonderful host helping us, giving good recommendations and suprising as with some nice gestures. This Villa really is a Gem as the name suggests. As for the surroundings - it is 100% private! For me the best part was that there is a nice local village to walk to every night. There are some amazing Tavernas/Restaurants with delicious food and reasonable prices (also a mini-market). There is also a nice beach with a good restaurant and a nice cozy beach bar - it is only a 10 minute walk from the villa. And if you rent a car then it is a 10 minute ride to the Rethymnon old town, which is also a very nice place with lots of shops and restaurants. The Villa was worth every euro!

We felt right at home. The incredibly lovely owners and helpers of the house have contributed to this, in combination with this great place to stay. We were overwhelmed by the island and the people from the first minute. I highly recommend getting to know this country and its people. You'll love it. Many thanks for everything! A lovely, luxury appartment near the beach and about 30 minutes' walk from the old town of Chania. A well-equipped, clean and beautiful appartment, but above all the warm and friendly hostess Anastasia. She guided us around the area, brought local delicacies, stocked the fridge with food and even drove us to the grocery store with her car. We really enjoyed our stay at the appartment and can wholeheartedly recommend it to others. You certainly wont't be disapointed!

absolutely loved staying here. the views were gorgeous. had a small hiccup with the water when we checked in but as soon as I messaged the host the water was up and working within 15 minutes. very responsive and very helpful. definitely recommend!

We had a very pleasant stay at Villa Galania for 5 nights in May 2025. The facilities were excellent and clean. The location is peaceful, with beautiful mountain views. If you are looking for a place to relax and forget the city's hustle and bustle, this place is worth considering. The host's guide app on the phone is invaluable, providing good instructions and tips both inside and outside the villa. The mattresses were too firm for our taste, but we bought a new thicker mattress topper for the master bedroom, which made sleeping much more comfortable for us. We left the topper on the master bedroom bed for future guests to enjoy. This was our choice, and I do not want to criticize the host for this. However, if you are used to a soft mattress, the beds might feel hard. The villa is in a remote area, so I recommend renting a car. Follow the host's instructions to reach the villa, as Google Maps or other navigation apps will likely get you there via smaller and narrower roads.

We had a lovely stay in Crete! Our villa was so peaceful. You hardly hear any outside life. You most certainly need a car especially if you plan on moving around to see different things. The water pressure in the bathroom was amazing! The house had amazing views. Some of the best sunsets we saw. The housekeeper was always on hand for whatever you needed and responded really quickly. Overall an amazing stay.

Andreas and Anna’s place was in a perfect peaceful location with beautiful views. The apartment was very clean and had all necessary amenities. Andreas provided wonderful recommendations, and was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

we stayed for one night in this beautiful villa and couldn’t have asked for better! It was private and peaceful, and check in was super easy! Our lovely hosts were so flexible with check-in and left us some treats for the stay, and then left us to be at home. It was so nice and clean and was so comfortable, we felt Right at home. Cannot recommend this villa and host highly enough! We stayed here for our first stop in Greece on our honeymoon, and it was absolutely perfect. We had a very late arrival time and Katerina was kind enough to still meet us in person, and even had breakfast items for us at the house. The view from the house is gorgeous, and it was so nice to be outside of the hustle and bustle of Chania. Everything was exactly as described, super responsive and kind hosts, lovely beach and restaurants nearby. 10/10 would stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting Chania!

We stayed at Niko’s beautiful villa as a group of 10 and had an unforgettable experience. The villa itself was stunning, with breathtaking views that we enjoyed every single day. From relaxing by the pool to exploring the local culture and parties, everything exceeded our expectations. Niko was more than just a host—he truly became a friend. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home, always available with helpful tips and a warm smile. His hospitality made our trip even more special. Anastasia is a top, top hostess, and the house and garden is even nicer than the pictures. We stayed for one whole month in April . Waking up to sunrise and enjoying our coffee on the roof terrace was fantastic. The house itself was also great for the kids. The only downside was that Kalyves wasn’t such a nice city for small kids (ours are 5 and 3 and 1) unfortunately. People drive the narrow streets way to fast, (which they do all over Crete) and there was also no real town square without cars. And no good place except the beach to hang out. It pains me to say, because I cannot imagine a more welcoming and serving hostess as Anastasia. The upside with the location was that it was central to both Chania, Rethimnon, Hora Sfakion and not too far from Heraklion. We had a car and if you are staying for longer than a 3-4 days it is absolutely recommended as there are a lot of beautiful places within a short drive.
