I had a lovely time in John's place. The apartment is in a great location in the old time. It was easy to walk everywhere, and had a stunning view of the sea. John was a great host. He was very communicative and helpful, and provided lots of recommendations for food and activities to enjoy in Chania. I came for a friend's wedding and so was in and out a lot throughout the weekend, and had a very easy time coming in and out late at night.

Die Lage ist einfach unschlagbar – mit direktem Meerblick aus der Wohnung und einem wunderschönen Strand direkt vor der Haustür! 🏖️ Die Unterkunft war mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht – sauber, gemütlich und funktional. Perfekt, um ein paar entspannte Tage am Meer zu genießen. Absolute Empfehlung, wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen! 🙌🌅

There will not be enough superlatives to describe this place. The location overlooking the Venetian Harbor was amazing. The house is historic, beautiful and has all the amenities you will want. You literally won't believe the large rooftop deck with crazy views. The house had lots of interesting things to read, lots of space for a large group and it was stocked with maps and guidebooks. The neighborhood is completely safe. The in-person welcome from the hosts contained some really thoughtful surprises (you will need to find out yourself - I won't ruin the surprise welcome.). Mike was great from the start…we booked last minute and he texted me immediately. He made everything very easy and was extremely friendly when we got there to check in. He showed us everything about the apartment that we needed to know and gave us lots of tips on where to go to eat and to see the best sites. The rooftop space was beautiful and the apartment was very close to everything in the area… We were able to walk to everything! I would definitely recommend staying there… Thank you, Mike!

Exactly as described! Manolis is a wonderful host and goes above and beyond to make you feel at home! He gave wonderful recommendations and was attentive whenever we had questions. On site parking was an amazing feature and an in unit washer really helped as this was a stop in the middle of a longer trip. The stay was exactly what we had hoped for and we were very comfortable. For reference, we were 4 adults (2 couples).

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Woche in dieser Unterkunft direkt am Meer! Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet und der Blick vom Balkon aufs Meer ist ein Traum. Die Küche hatte eine Basic Ausstattung. Es gibt sogar einen Zimmerservice, der alle paar Tage die Handtücher austauscht, Müll entsorgt und sauber macht. Der Strandabschnitt ist recht ruhig und an den meisten Tagen waren wir fast allein dort. Man kann dort auch gut schnorcheln, wenn man mag. In der Nähe befinden sich zwei Tavernen, die uns beide sehr gefallen haben. Wir hatten einen Mietwagen und würden dies auch empfehlen. Der einzige Manko ist die Straße. Man hört sie aber nicht sehr stark unten am Meer und mit geschlossenem Fenster konnte man gut schlafen. Wir haben es beide nicht als wirklich störend wahrgenommen. Das schöne Grundstück und die Lage machen es definitiv wett. Wir würden immer wieder kommen!

This is a very special apartment that has a view like no other. It’s the perfect home base to explore Chania and the region. I especially enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen. There are many green grocers and farmer’s markets to procure the best Cretan produce and enjoying your meals with that incredible view. The apartment is comfortable, quiet, and John is a superb host. He is not only thoughtful, he’s very proactive. The best experience I’ve had with Airbnb. He should be called a super, super host!

Located right in the heart of old town Chania, can easily people watch and take in the sights and sounds of old town without having to leave your place. Perfect sunset views. Note: best place to reliably park for free overnight is “Chania town car park”, about a 10 min walk. May be easier in the off season; and harder in the peak. Overall the location can’t be beat.

כל כך נהננו בשהות שלנו בווילה ! הבריכה המחוממת לנוף מהמם ואזור כפרי מלא בטבע וירוק . הקבלת פנים הייתה נעימה ומסבירת פנים. כל שאלה שהייתה לנו המארחים ענו לנו מהר . היה מושלם ! חלום של מקום!

Nous avons été ravis de notre séjour. Aucune difficulté pour trouver la maison. Il y a un parking pour garer la voiture. On nous a donné un « bip » pour pouvoir être autonomes et ouvrir le portail. La maison est très bien organisée avec toutes les sécurités nécessaires pour de jeunes enfants (barrière de sécurité dans les escaliers par exemple). Il y avait 2 salles de bain mais nous n’en avons utilisé qu’une. La cuisine est correctement équipée pour un court séjour. Il y a même une machine Nespresso. La maison se trouve dans un ensemble qui comprend d’autres maisons louées ainsi que les logements des propriétaires. Il y a également un espace pour manger dehors, faire des barbecue mais également tout un espace pour les enfants avec balançoire, trampoline, etc. Notre fille était ravie. Le 1er restaurant est à 2 minutes à pied et il y en a d’autres à 7 minutes à pied. Nous les avons tous testés et nous avons beaucoup apprécié Veranda d’un point de vue rapport/qualité/prix.

Just back from 10 amazing days at Casa del Mar - an oasis of peace and quiet, from wherever you're coming from. The house sits atop a hill, with the most wonderful views across the sea to an island and the rest of the Cretan mainland. That view was the backdrop to many meals, family conversations, and fun-filled evenings. The house is large, with plenty of room for the 8 of us who stayed there. Great facilities throughout, with AC, 4 clean bathrooms, and two kitchens. We used the outdoor grill one evening to make BBQ and it worked well (charcoal). The infinity pool was another meeting place throughout the week. Deep, clean, and with that same incredible view, we spent a LOT of time in it. The family also enjoyed a very unique aspect to this house - direct access to the sea from the path that winds down from the house. We spent hours snorkeling here, up and down the coast, and saw a large number of fish and other sea life. Overall, an oasis of calm. Run, don't walk!

This house was absolutely amazing – just like in the pictures, if not even better! The location right by the beach is truly breathtaking, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting. All the furniture and appliances are top-of-the-line – everything was spotless, high-quality, and incredibly comfortable. Ria was a fantastic host – super friendly, always quick to respond, and very helpful. We really appreciated how kind and welcoming she was. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would recommend this house to absolutely everyone. A perfect getaway!

We had a glorious two weeks at Niko's place. For the first time at AirBNB it felt like we're were guests at a friends home. All of the promised essentials were provided in generous quantities - Niko's home grown fruit and veg were a particular treat and provided in such generous quantities that we couldn't eat them all. The place is simple but with all the equipment that you could need. The terrace a delight to enjoy the sun and the bathing spot a treat. Niko has landscaped a most wonderful extended garden which made the whole property just beautiful!

Wir haben diese Unterkunft nach langer Suche für uns entdeckt. Wir sind eine Familie mit Zwillingen im Alter von 11 Jahren. Buchung war super einfach. Die Gastgeberin Tasoula hat uns immer nett und kompetent geantwortet. Mit dem Mietwagen vom Flughafen Chania braucht man nur 15 Minuten zur Unterkunft mit eigenem Rolltor und Parkplatz. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben die schöne Unterkunft sofort ins Herz geschlossen. Von der erhöhten Terrasse sind es 15 m bis zum blaugrün schimmerndem makellosen Wasser, ohne Algen, Plastik und Dreck. Das Wasser ist sehr klar und das Schwimmen darin war ein Traum. Aussendusche ist super in der Anlage. Links und rechts der Anlage sind Restaurants mit sehr leckerem griechischen Essen Besonders im Restaurant Veranda waren alle soo nett und haben uns das Essen sogar auf die Terasse gebracht. 2 mal wurde wir von Tasoula bekocht.. Sie haben uns einfach Platten mit griechischem Essen gebracht. Sooo lieb. Wir kommen gerne wieder

I truly recommend staying with Niko in this beautiful villa! The house is very modern, the outside area spectacular and private and the communication with Niko was clear and helpful. The accommodation works for both families and friends. The house is located around 30mins from Chania which is easy to get to by car. Can only recommend renting this villa.

Helppo tutustua vanhaan kaupunkiin. Sijainti rauhallisemmalla puolella Venetsialaista satamaa. Palvelut lähellä. Liian pehmeä sänky minun mielestäni, mutta sehän onkin vain makuasioita.

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

The views from this place are beyond breathtaking, especially at sunset! This is an area that is just walking distance from the touristy spot and is very peaceful. My bf was worried about smell and sound being above a restaurant, but there were zero issues. It’s practically sound proof. We sat on the balcony multiple times a day to people watch and listen to the beautiful street performers. We must have missed it in the listing, but please note that this is a home someone lives in. So you don’t have as much storage as you would in an Airbnb dedicated to guests only. We had one closet, two drawers, and could store suitcases under the bed. Not much storage or counter space for our things, but the host did say we could use anything in the house which was nice for cooking our own meals. Highly recommend the brunch and coffee at the Sandbar! Would definitely recommend this spot, especially for couples. The bed is a thick memory foam mattress and was very cozy & comfortable. We slept great!

Wir waren vom 6.10.-12.10. bei Nikos in der Unterkunft. Der Meerblick war toll. Abends haben wir das Meer rauschen gehört. 2 Minuten zum Strand. Das Wasser war klar und angenehme 25°. Am Strand waren nicht viele Leute, eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Insel bietet viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, die Altstadt von Rethymno ist allein eine Reise wert. Die Preise sind ok. Die Griechen sind nett und gastfreundlich. Nikos war zur Stelle, wenn wir ein Anliegen hatten. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Diese Unterkunft können wir empfehlen👍. The apartment, its location, and the hosts’ hospitality are simply impressive. The room had everything we needed - even sun hats, beach towels, and slippers. A separate crib was provided for our son. The apartment also came with a juicer, toaster, coffee machine, coffee, tea, and plenty of food. However, the place is better suited for couples without small children. Our 1-year-4-month-old son constantly wanted to go up and down the stairs (which isn’t very safe) or out onto the balcony. Still, he managed to enjoy the beautiful views and woke up saying ‘wooow.’ 😁 The water at the beach is perfect for small children and peaceful relaxation. We had a wonderful vacation! Nearby, we discovered a lovely restaurant called Halepa with incredible sunsets and delicious seafood - highly recommended.

Fantastinen paikka! Kaunis asunto upealla sijainnilla. Viiden hengen perhe majoittui täällä mukavasti, hyvät sängyt. Upea olohuone ja huikea parveke/terassi esteettömällä merinäkymällä 😍 Oli kiva käydä aamu-uinnilla, kun ranta oli kadun toisella puolella! Noin 15 minuutin kävely vanhaan kaupunkiin, paikkaan mihin ihastuimme täysin! Autopaikka kätevästi pihassa ja ruokakauppa ihan vieressä. Stratoksen kanssa kaikki sujui hyvin, erittäin mukava ja reagoi nopeasti kysymyksiin ja tarpeisiin. Olimme todella tyytyväisiä että valitsimme juuri tämän asunnon upeasta Rethymnosta!

Vlakbij het strand. Parkeerplaats beschikbaar. Appartement heeft alles wat je maar nodig kan hebben. Behulpzame verhuurder. Alles op wandelafstand, auto is enkel nodig voor daguitstappen. Leuk speelgoed voor de kinderen. Enige minpunt is dat het naast een drukke baan ligt met nodige lawaai.

The apartment’s large balcony & location at the quiet end of the Venetian Harbour in Chania old town, was perfect for relaxing and exploring the labyrinthine little alleyways of the old town of Chania. I started and ended the day sitting on the balcony, watching sensational sunsets, the quiet chatter of people in the restaurant below and the mooring and unmooring of boats in the harbour! Christina, my main contact, was outstanding in her responsiveness and assistance in ordering a taxi etc. I would definitely stay here again!
