Such a great space for me & my family. We had plenty of room, everything we needed. Spacious and cosy at the same time in a great location. Communication also very easy.

Great place - very comfortable - lots of extra touches when we arrived - very welcoming to us and our dog. Lovely to walk into a lounge with the fire going on a cold evening.

We really enjoyed our stay here and particularly loved the cosy wood burner and the incredible view, with the sound of waves. Paekakariki is a perfect and relaxing holiday destination. We didn’t want to leave!

Second visit for our girls’ sewing trip and we all loved it. Beautiful spot, wonderfully comfortable house with a well equipped kitchen and everything was immaculately clean. We’ll go back next year.

The perfect place for a getaway. Close to lots of food and shopping areas. The house is nice and open but private with beautiful character. we will definitely stay here again.

Our group of grandparents (visiting from Canada), parents and 2 children aged 6 and 2 enjoyed our Easter weekend stay. The kitchen was well equipped for all our food prep; bedrooms were comfortable, spacious and clean; there were DVDs of cartoons that the adults all remember, as well as some movies. The adults enjoyed playing table tennis, and the sleepout was a good place to store bicycles. Proximity to the excellent playground, the beach and the estuary were big pluses. The enclosed yard was also helpful for keeping the children safe. And wine and chocolates were a pleasant welcoming gift. Thanks so much for sharing your attractive and comfortable bach.

Our stay for the last weekend of the school holidays was PERFECT im glad we made the trip to Ōtaki for a family reunion we enjoyed our stay so much we hope to return again the fire made the place so cosy when you could sit around it with the beach in your view there was lots of space, games were a hit for the kids although we didnt spend most of our time soaking up the beautiful surroundings we had a great experiences, it didnt end there waking up and having the beautiful beach right there was an absolute bonus from sunset to sunrise was stunning!!!

Our DnD group stayed here for a weekend game and it exceeded expectations. We checked out this morning and have already booked another weekend at this spacious bach. Great living space for your group to hang out, well equipped kitchen and plenty of bedrooms. We definitely appreciated being able to grab extra trestle tables from the garage for our tabletop setup. Lindsay was highly responsive to queries and the whole booking process was perfectly straightforward. One of the most affordable places for larger groups without couples who need plenty of rooms and beds, and the increase for extra people was reasonable which is hard to find these days!

Lovely little place. Viv is a great communicator and was generous with supplies and arrivals/departure times. Totally adequate as a base for us to stay while attending some training nearby.

The Annexe was a wonderful space for our little family to have an Autumn beach escape. Angela was friendly, helpful and accomodating, and we felt right at home. We loved the peaceful location: walking distance from the beach and campfire sauna, and a tiny drive from the playground and village.

We loved our stay, lovely kiwi bach feel. And it was so close to the beach!, just a few steps! We loved the beach view from the window, and enjoyed walking along the beach to get to the nearby cafes. Would definitely stay again, and would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing beach break.

Second time staying there. A great over nighter. A warm welcome by hosts Fee and Gra and their dog Piper. Make you feel right at home. Relaxed in the spa after walking our dog to the beach behind the house, then nice quiet evening indoors. Love coming to this place. Easy to maintain and you have own place and space. Stunning views. Even though you’re in the bottom floor of the house it’s very quiet and private. Roomy enough for lots of suitcases. About 5 manageable stairs and a good hand rail if you have mobility concerns. Handy basic supplies in the kitchen cupboard and laundry. Comfy sofas and bed. I can see why a lot of other reviewers go back again and again.

This BNB is a step back in time, in the best possible way! It feels like you’re staying at a good friend’s bach. Very comfortable and spacious, with everything you need. A home away from home! Fantastic to have a full kitchen and a washing machine and dryer. Comfortable bed, heat pump and good shower. Walking distance to the beach, shops, and many eateries. A short drive to more shops and motorway on ramps.
