Really nice stay - perfect that we had to bring dogs. Was a good fit for the description and it was in a nice setting.

The property is perfect for a vacation in a larger group. We were a total of 15 people and were able to spend a wonderfully snowy New Year's Eve there. Johan and Linnéa always responded quickly to questions both during and before arrival and were thus always able to help us quickly. All in all, a great place to stay and very great hosts.

We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful large and well maintained house, beautifully detached overlooking the forest and just a piece of the lake (with swimming beach) to be seen from the house. This house was also easy to use with a wheelchair! The house has many amenities for extensive cooking, large fridge, freezer, good oven and microwave. Large terraces to sit. Two bathrooms, although we couldn't get the large bath to work well (but we didn't come for that). The house is very quiet, at the same time within fifteen minutes drive a great supermarket, half an hour from Årjäng, and within an hour drive from Karlstad. It takes a while to find the starting point, but there are all kinds of beautiful hiking trails nearby (with beautiful wild plants, insects and other animals). Kjell-Åke is a friendly host and can be approached directly with questions. Only improvement: the cabinets are full of personal clothes, so there is too little closet space for your own clothes.

Our five days staying in this charming, remodeled Swedish house could not have been more fantastic. While looking for my Swilson Swedish grandmother‘s roots, I felt like I was taken back in time. Thank you so much for allowing us the privilege of staying here. And did I mention the great hot tub! Thank you, Berndhard.

Our visit as a resident in the Pavilion. We were adults and children who stayed there to-sun. Large areas both inside and outside, clean and tidy, own large patio with large lawn for play. Sauna and wood fired sauna for about 4 people. Good parking next door, walking distance to fishing area and also to the bath with small beach, jetty and diving tower. Good communication with Johan before and upon arrival as well as was quickly available if we were missing anything during the stay. Cozy environment. We are 20 very happy guests who will surely come back. Top marks from us

We feel incredibly fortunate to have stayed in Kristina’s house during our quiet family vacation in Sweden! The house and the garden are absolutely charming, filled with flowers and candles that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This is truly a family home, not only equipped with everything you need for a long stay, but also furnished and decorated with such care and love that you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The surrounding woods and lakes are perfect for hiking, foraging, meditation, and relaxation. Kristina and her son Alexander were wonderful hosts, making our stay even more enjoyable.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Håkan's country house. It was magical to wake up with the nice view, sit on the terrace and barbecue on the brilliant barbecue table and take one bath after time in the sauna. Good beds and very well equipped kitchen. Everything you need and then some. The little boat ride (a few minutes) out was a nice bonus. Good capacity and easy to drive the boat.

To say we had a nice stay would be an understatement! The accomidation is so lovely and we had an amazing vacation. The pool deck is even nicer than you might think from the pictures. The pool costs a little extra (120€ for the week as of 2022), which would have been nice to write in the listing. Given the pool is heated and has to be maintained the cost is understandable though of course. The next grocery store is about 15min by car and the next bigger town about 40 to 50min. Given how nice the house is you might not want to leave though :) We had a lot of fun taking the SUP and the canoe out to the lake, we even had the chance to do this with our little dogs for the very first time, so that was a really great experience. There is even a grill, which Linda and Peter were kind enough to let us borrow. All basic spices, oils and such were also there to borrow. The surrounding forrest is beautiful too and there were plenty of mushrooms to pick. Lastly two things worth noting (These werent issues for us but might be worth knowing for others). Both the pool deck and the garden are not fenced in, so if you have small kids or dogs you will have to keep an extra eye out. And the larger beds in the main house are in separate rooms but the rooms are only separated by a curtain. Again, these were really non issues when you take into account how lovely the rest of the place was! So, thank you again for letting us stay here, Linda and Peter!

The location of the great property in the midst of beautiful nature and the comfort of the house are really absolutely extraordinary. The contact with the hosts was very friendly and familiar and we felt very well taken care of at all times. Thank you for the great time and we will be happy to come back!

We had an unforgettable holiday in the lonely house right on the water. There remained nothing to be desired in the house itself. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to travel there again at some point.

What a beautiful place! A lovely cottage on the grounds of Marjolanda, where we enjoyed the silence, the forest and the sauna. Everything was very neat and carefully cared for and maintained, both the cottage and the garden around it. And communication with Marjolanda was quick and easy. Top!

Cozy cabin, nice surroundings. Great contact with the host, easy to reach and communicate with. Beautiful lake to swim in, just a short walk from the cottage.

Ninth time at this beautiful place, and as happy as ever!

There were six of us (2 adults / 4 children) in the property and we felt very much at home. There is a lot of space available that even rainy days can also be spent beautifully with many people. In the evening, there were regular moose from the house in the distance. In the nearby lake (10 min walk) can be bathed and fished. Thank you for the wonderful time!

A nice quiet place to stay. You can enjoy hiking, canoeing, mountain bike, etc. Nice host, friendly and quick to respond. We had a lovely May vacation.☀️👍

A beautiful and large house with complete furnishings and a large terrace. The house has many large windows with views over the vast lake and the other houses in the small-scale holiday park. Contact with the owner went well and quickly. We enjoyed the silence, tranquility and the singing birds. We took nice walks in the area. Supermarkets and shops are easily accessible 15km away. We would love to come back here if we go back to Sweden.

Hey, Me and my friends had wonderful and relaxing days at Carsten AirBnb. The apartment was clean and tidy, you had everything you needed including enough utensils to cook for 8 people. In particular, the terrace was a dream to have breakfast in the morning with a lake view and then go either to the lake or hike from there. We highly recommend the place and are very happy that we were also allowed to be here as a somewhat younger group.

We had a very nice few days in Fredrik and his family's house. We were a group of 6 adults and a child of 2 years, and everyone had a great time. The house was big and nice and had goood space to find peace. The garden and outdoor room were probably the best: here our daughter could jump on the trampoline, play in the playroom, watch the fish and snuggle :-) We did the same as adults. And we loved the outdoor living room, here we sat until late at night and played games and enjoyed ourselves in the summer sun. Definitely a really nice stay in a quiet and safe environment. We would love to come back as neither of us would go back home. Easy to find and clean and cozy house. Hugs from Norway 🇳🇴

We had an amazing few days in this cabin in August 2024. It is such a beautiful location and so peaceful. The cabin is extremely well equipped and clean. The lake was warm to swim in and easy to navigate on rowing boat and Canadian canoe. Anders was super helpful when we messaged (e.g. He has 2 canoes that can be rented). If you want a quiet holiday this is a great spot to go to!

What a wonderful house and what a great environment! The house was much larger than I had expected. It was cozy. The beds are in the kitchen. I thought it would be a little strange, but it didn't feel that way at all. Beds were clean and were fine. Only getting to the top bed was quite a feat for my dear son. Otherwise, no problem, it was funny. The house has all the comforts. Wood stove was very nice and the other heating made the cottage quickly cozy. The area is a true fairy tale with forests and beautiful lakes. We have enjoyed it to the fullest.
