Very nice spot for a cute getaway! It was very private. Close to cute spots and touristic attractions. I totally recommend!

This place was beautiful! It has everything you need and more for a relaxing time, surrounded by beauty. With three littles, we appreciated all the toys and games they had! Kimiko was extremely helpful, accommodating and responsive. Would highly recommend this place for families!

We had a lovely stay at Melanie's cottage. The cottage was very spacious, clean and had absolutely everything that we needed. (bottle of wine was a nice touch) Melanie was very responsive to our questions and responded right away. The cottage is on a busy street but is relatively quiet when you are on the beautiful front deck. We would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to explore the area.

Booked well in advance with great communication with Stephanie & Peter. Once there was blown away because the pictures truly do not do it justice. The space was beautiful, clean and organized, it was amazing having lots of plates, utensils, condiments, lots of towels and blankets available. The hot tub was full and clean. The view was just so stunning to wake up to every morning. It was very peaceful! I will be rebooking. Thank you Stephanie & Peter for the hospitality and allowing us into your space to celebrate our anniversary. Truly exceptional!

the cottage was perfect. clean and comfortable. the area and views were beautiful. the hot tub was excellent. The hosts were superb. They were very proactive, checking to see if we arrived and if we needed anything. the instructions for everything were in a binder and very clear and easy to understand. we are already talking about returning next year.

Jennie's place was fantastic! it was well stocked, very clean, beautiful and really felt like a retreat. we don't often return to the same rental but would definitely come back again! recommend for a family get away or a group of friends.

Jessica and Adam were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Everything was easy and relaxing. Jessica quite responsive and helpful; she went above and beyond. Although we did not partake during this visit, the ocean saltwater hot tubs looked amazing! Outdoor fire pits/apparatus with outdoor seating also a bonus. The site is on the ocean with a lovely private sand beach with provided lounge chairs. There is a wharf-type breakwater on the property, which was lovely.

Staying at this place was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The home itself is stunning—right on the lake, surrounded by trees, with pristine grounds and incredible amenities. The hot tub, fire pit, and living spaces were all immaculately maintained and felt like new. Everything was so comfortable, and the little welcoming touches made it feel extra special. Ben was a fantastic host—professional, friendly, and incredibly responsive. He made everything seamless from start to finish and was always so easy with which to communicate. What really sets this property apart is its peaceful location, surrounded by natural beauty, and its exceptional, well-appointed lakehouse. It’s the perfect retreat if you’re looking to unwind and connect with nature in a beautifully maintained space. Truly a five-star experience—and then some. We might come back to Nova Scotia just to stay at this gorgeous property!

10/10 definitely recommend (especially if you have young children)! Beautiful lake, the kids swam in the lake until 9pm and we had to force them to get out. Also not a lot of traffic at all and the cabin is off the road, allowing me to totally relax and not stress about children going by the road. The wifi was a huge plus (not great cell service but wifi allowed us to use iMessage/facetime). We overall loved our stay!

What a picturesque, quiet, beautiful place. Walking the beach, watching the tides come and go from the oceanside, being entertained by all the birds as we sat on the deck in the sun--all was entrancing. Sleeping in the loft was a delight and the kitchen was well-equipped for all our cooking. We enjoyed it all and were very comfortable with everything. Les and Kathy, Vancouver, BC

Perfect escape, lake access, great outdoor space and quick drive to local towns and beaches. We hope to return!

We felt like we had a break from the world. It was peaceful, very cozy, charming, and comfortable. We slept like babies, even though it was cooler weather and we had to put wood in the stove for heat (something we enjoyed immensely). Kitchen was reasonably equipped, so we just cooked our own meals. If you’re ok with a few bugs and spiders here and there (nothing dangerous), you’ll love it. We plan to be back.

This was a great stay and we hope to be back. The weather was less than favorable but it didn't matter, we loved staying here. Beautiful location and an amazing home. It had everything we needed!

Ian's place was exactly as described. Everything was wonderful. Was peaceful and relaxing and they communicated when we had one small.ossur and came out and fixed the problem with a hour. The house was in easy driving from a lot of tourist places which was great. Thanks so much for sharing your place with us.

Rob and Jacquie responded to our every question with professionalism and positivity. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed the lake the outdoor fire pit,the view, the kitchen. We have recently completed a lovely, lovely stay on Smith’s Cove — a traveling family foursome. Jane’s little, ocean-front cottage was absolutely terrific — a beautiful setting, a tidy home, all the appliances, and close to most everything that the Digby area has to offer. (Think scallops, for example, and whale watching.) My iteration of Google maps didn’t list “Petrie Road,” however — or not in its entirety — which threw us off for a moment. The omniscient online mapper suggested we crash through the neighbor’s lot on Leighton Road, then walk the beach over to Jane’s cottage. We thought better of it. You need to drive to very *end* of Petrie Road, with faith and good confidence — and there at the end, just to the right, you will find an entrance into number 88. It’s worth the effort. Jane is wonderful host. And her home on the cove is spectacular.

We had an awesome stay — it is a beautiful home, very clean, with everything you need for the stay. It is a beautiful private location on a lake, very peaceful and relaxing. Danny and Lynn were super responsive to all my messages, and everything was as stated in the listing. Highly recommend!

Our stay at River Breeze Cottage was just lovely! The cottage was clean, and the view of the river was peaceful. It was a great place to relax after busy days of sight-seeing. The hosts were responsive and thoughtful! We hope to return again soon 😊

We enjoyed our stay at Jasmine’s cottage. It is a peaceful spot, and was perfect for our 2 night stay in the area. Her rental is very cozy, well appointed, very clean and the beds were comfortable. Everything we needed :) Thank you Jasmine!

A wonderful stay in one of our favourite parts of the province. The place was clean and tidy, equipped with everything you'll need and the beds were all very comfortable - my son was a big fan of the bunk bed. It was also a pleasant surprise for my son to a finda selection of games and kids books, which he made good use of in quieter times. Silka is also quick to respond to any questions you might have, though we had little need of that as all information we needed to enjoy our stay was provided. The location is fantastic. You could easily kill the whole day just hanging out in the back yard, combing the beach, but you're also within striking distance of numerous sandy beaches and coastal communities, so there's plenty of ways to fill your days.

We really enjoyed the place, equipped with all the amenities, kitchen stuff, games, laundry, hot tub, etc. Clean and tidy, very peaceful and beautiful location. We really loved it and definitely come back for a peaceful stay.

Great stay

We stayed at Shobac Farm with our three-year-old toddler and dog, and it was unforgettable. The property perfectly balances modern luxury with cozy, down-to-earth warmth. It's a hidden gem tucked in a stunning, remote spot. The architecture is breathtaking, and the pool, sauna, hot tubs, beaches, fire pit, and sunken dining area make it even more special. Waking up to ocean views and falling asleep to the sound of waves was magical. The historic schoolhouse is fully equipped with everything you could need to feel at home yet completely relaxed. Nearby coffee shops and stores are welcoming and convenient. As amazing as everything was, nothing beat the two beautiful Highland cows—seeing them was a bucket list moment! Our toddler loved exploring, and we felt completely at ease with both a young child and a dog. We can’t wait to come back—every season, again and again.
