This is a perfect stay for a quiet getaway. Felt very safe as a woman on my own. The flat was really clean and homely. They left a lovely card and drinks and chocolate. Lovely friendly hosts. Can't thank you enough for the stay! I highly recommend to anyone.

A lovely loft - perfect and just what we needed for our 2 day mini-break. The loft was much bigger than we anticipated so that was a lovely surprise. The little touches were great too - fresh towels, milk, butter, instructions for the hot tub, even some jigsaws for the rainy afternoon. Everything we needed. The outdoor space was so peaceful. Even though we were on the farm’s property, we felt right at home, comfortable and had the privacy we wanted. The neighbours were adorable - cows and their calves! The outdoor space was secure for our two dogs. Plenty of room for them to stretch their legs and play on the grass. Thanks for a great stay!

Jay's Nest it's a great place to stay. Friendly hosts, convenient location, close to the centre of the village and many beautiful walks on the doorstep. Perfect base for those who wish to explore Lake District. The flat has home from home feel. The kitchen has all essentials and no need to wash up, dishwasher does it for you. Clean, working washing machine with dryer if needed. The seating area very cosy with nice views through windows, you can relax after a long day walking. Big bedroom with comfortable bed and plenty of space for storing your gear/clothes etc. Again, super clean, couldn't ask for more. Fair size spotless ensuite with good size shower. Plenty of space to keep what you need in the bathroom. Sadly, due to the weather, we were not able to use the outside area where having a morning coffee or evening drink must be super enjoyable. It was our first time in LD and we will be back to Jay's Nest, that's for sure. Needless to say, we highly recommend Jay's Nest!

We had a fantastic stay at Niall and Marta’s beautiful 2-bedroom apartment in Windermere. The space was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The decor was stylish and thoughtfully done, making it feel like a home away from home. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. You have free parking available and all restaurants/shops are at a walking distance. Highly recommend!

What a fabulous few days me and my boys had ..I’ve never seen them so relaxed (ages 35 and 37 )x I think it was the lovely energy we felt in the beautiful Nest xx looking out over the river each morning set us up for the day. Would recommend 100% , we had everything we needed ..I couldn’t fault it ..the bedrooms immaculate and the beds /bedding were soft clean and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the gym and pool offer also x staff there were lovely at the Swan Hotel. Thank you xx

Exactly as described. Set up with everything needed for a self catering stay. Central location to shops and beach. The flat decor is a little tired but was clean and comfortable.

Lovely house, great views, within 30 mins drive to all main south lakes sights. Communication and check in all very easy and clear. We had a great stay :)

This house was absolutely perfect for our stay - a warm, cosy house with an excellent stock of DVDs and games to keep us entertained, and we were spoilt for choice in terms of nearby pubs and restaurants. Communication was prompt and friendly - we really can’t recommend this property enough.

We stayed here between Christmas and NY to meet friends who were visiting the UK from Australia. It was the perfect home for us, warm and comfy, great access to shops in Kendal and well located for driving to the lakes for walks and boating. Would highly recommend.

It was quite cozy and comfortable stay. Everything is within 10 mins walk and Kendal is quite a pretty town. Home had everything we needed and kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed cooking. Kind of home away from home. Checkin was hassle free. Hannah was quick to respond to all our queries. Will definitely recommend to others.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cute, little house in Mount Street to anyone. It was just perfect for my husband and I, and our dog. It’s not obvious from the photos how nicely furnished this house is so we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The living area is bright and welcoming and the bi-fold doors out to the pretty terrace are great too. We particularly enjoyed sitting outside with a book, it felt very relaxing and nice and secluded. The entire house was spotlessly clean and the kitchen had everything you would need and more. We were only here for a couple of days so didn’t see much of Kendal but what we did see we liked. There are lots of open grassy areas where we walked our dog before venturing further to the lakes. We also found some nice farm shops nearby. The house is well situated for anyone wanting to explore the area in the south of the lakes or if you want to head further north, like we did, Buttermere is around an hour and a half away Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! Communication was great from the start, and the home itself is absolutely beautiful, cosy, warm, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel really special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was excellent too. Sarah, her husband, and Joey were so lovely and welcoming, and their gorgeous dog made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this stay, would love to come back!

It was perfect. I was worried about being so close to the local pub but I had nothing to worry. You couldn’t hear anything. It was so peaceful. I would totally recommend a stay at Rachael’s accommodation.

We’re just home after a very lovely stay in the most beautiful location. Louise communicated well and provided us with a pristine place to stay with everything we could wish for to make us feel at home. The apartment has the most amazing views from every room and is very comfortable and well equipped. There are so many lovely places to visit in the area, some walkable from the accommodation, that we definitely need to visit again. Lovely little bolthole, incredible location in the heart of the village. You’re a minute walk away from most of the restaurants, pubs and sights. Getting checked in was super easy and the place was spotless, thank you Nia!

Great location quiet, easy to get to. We stopped just 1 night so didn’t use anything in the kitchen but it had all you would need. Plenty big enough for 2 people with really comfy bed and large bathroom with walk in shower . Would definitely stay there again

Abigail’s is the most beautiful home! We visit every year not only because of the home but because of Simone, the host is amazing!! She really is a 10/10 host, very easy to talk to, caring and very responsive to your needs! We feel very lucky to spend our time in the lakes but thats a huge thank you to Abigail’s for making our holiday special! Thank you Simone - you’re amazing 🤩

The Hideaway was a beautiful, peaceful and perfect setting for us to celebrate our anniversary, made all the more special by Fiona’s very warm welcome, outstanding hospitality and helpfulness, providing guests with everything you might need. One of the comfiest and largest beds we’ve ever slept in; lovely bathroom and well equipped kitchen; all very clean and with many thoughtful touches throughout. Huge bonus to have many perfect spots to sit and relax in the garden and absolutely love the ‘hot chocolate hut’! Great walks from the doorstep, super path to Kirkby Lonsdale and loads of places to visit and eat. Thanks Fiona for a really lovely weekend and a beautiful and very generous welcome basket - we look forward to returning as a weekend was far too short to enjoy the area and the Hideaway!

This apartment is very spacious - bigger than it appears in the photos. It is well equipped, warm and comfortable. There are useful instructions for all the appliances etc. It was lovely to have a view of the bay from the kitchen and one of the bedrooms. The location is central but peaceful and the private parking space is very useful. You can walk to the promenade in under 10 minutes. Communication with Carina was very prompt, friendly and efficient.

We really enjoyed our stay here at Whitbarrow. The apartment was lovely, with the special addition of the balcony overlooking the beautiful views, which we enjoyed with a cuppa or two. Our boys loved the toys and the drawing that was available to play with but, of course, their highlight was the pool. Local distance to Lowther, buttermere, Penrith, pooley Bridge, Keswick etc so lots to do. We’ll be back soon! 🙂

We spent 2 nights in this apartment while visiting friends in Blackpool. The apartment is fantastic - spacious and well appointed, with the highlight being the living room which has huge windows looking out over the sea which is approximately 500 metres away. The owner sent us detailed instructions before arrival and we were asked to ring him as soon as we arrived, so that he could go through various features of the apartment with us. Overall, the communication was excellent. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment if you are planning to stay in Blackpool.
