Lovely, charismatic cottage with a great garden. The wharthogs greeting is during breakfast at the porch and the Calabas monkeys in the trees, and the fireplace were highlights. The bed is big, which is great. Frankly was lovely.

An amazing place and a beautiful surroundings and definitely recommend and will definitely return.

We had such a lovely weekend at Sarah's cottage — it really felt like a home away from home! The view was absolutely stunning, and the best part is that it’s just a short walk from some great restaurants. Sarah truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, sharing fantastic recommendations for local dining and fun activities. This charming place is only a short stroll from the lake, where you can enjoy Fisherman's Camp for a drink on the veranda or visit Camp Carnelleys for a delicious meal. Plus, Hellsgate National Park is just down the road, ready for exploration. Personally, I enjoyed spending my time relaxing on the veranda, immersing myself in a good book, and taking in the breathtaking views of the lake! I did see some comments on Airbnb about the access road to the cottage being a bit tricky, but honestly, it’s really not bad at all. The short stretch on a dirt track is manageable for any car, provided you drive at a slow pace.

It was an amazing stay. The cottage is too cute, with amazing views and being able to walk around the island among the wild-life is just incredible. I particularly loved the veranda. The guy who brought us back and forth between mainland and the island is also very helpful and friendly. I was glad it was recommended to us. My brother and his wife found it pretty unforgettable too!
