The cabin is located only 10 minutes from R9, 20 minutes from Vennesla, 30 minutes from Kristiansand, and 45 minutes from Kristiansand Zoo. It is 100 meters from cycle route 3. Very fast internet. Outdoor living room with fireplace can be borrowed upon request. Swimming area in the river 50 m from the cabin . Many hiking trails. Rowboat can be borrowed from about April to about November. A lot of small fish in the river. No need a fishing license.

The annex has 2 beds and a wood stove and views directly out on the water and the surrounding nature. The cabin is an old restored forest house with atmosphere. Here you just have to open the doors and nature comes into the living room.

The boathouse is well equipped, with both rowing boat, two kayaks, fishing gear, life jackets, etc. Pioneer 14 with 20 hp (2019 model) can be rented together with the cabin if desired.

Good old-fashioned outhouse down on the forest floor. Fire pit, canoe, rowboat, carpenter's workshop and climbing net can be used freely. Hot tub and sauna have an extra cost.

Good bus connections to both Grimstad and Arendal. Kristiansand Zoo is only 35 minutes away by car.

Nidelva has 3 outlets to the sea where one flows out by the center of Arendal and the other two flows towards Torungen lighthouse. There is little movement in the river during the summer since the cabin is at sea level.
