Lighthouse from 1895 with dwelling and apartment in the tower itself. The building is established on a shear at the end of Rekefjord. Original inventory from the time when the lighthousekeepers and family lived in the lighthouse. The lighthouse contains Kitchen, bathroom and toilet, living room, stalls, atrium with panoramic view, 3 bedrooms and small kitchen converted into extra bedrooms. The cabin was new in February 2017. It is modern, functional and has a panorama view, a perfect basecamp for a variety of hikes and trips in addition to relaxing around the cabin. The area offers great possibilities for fishing trout in the mountain lakes and salmon in the Bjerkreimselva, listed as one of the best salmon rivers in Norway! Try also the Kodlom lake just outside the door! In the winter season, Stavtjørn is well known for its excellent cross country and alpine skiing terrain.

The Benedikte house on architect-designed Svindland farm

The Benedikte house is about 10 min drive from Egersund city center and about 5 min from E39. We have attempted to recreate the hospitality of Benedikte - the last one to stay in the old house - in this modern and completely newly built farmhouse on the outskirts of the courtyard of the Svindland farm. Here guests will find peace and idyll. On the farm there are horses, we have two dogs and a cozy peacock that runs freely. The house is very modern and well-equipped.

Cozy cabin in quiet and peaceful surroundings.

Relax in quiet surroundings. This cabin has no running water og electricity. What the cabin does have, is great hiking opportunities and a lake you can swim and fish in close by. Let go of everyday stress and just relax. You will have to bring your own bed linen, towels and water. You can rent bed linens for 100 NOK. During spring, summer and fall there is a small creek near the cabin where you can get water. We will provide firewood for the fireplace.
