Family-friendly holiday rentals in La Roche-Chalais

Myself and 7 friends spend 3 nights here and we had the most incredible stay. It is rare to book a unit where there are no bad bedrooms, but all 5 bedrooms in this unit were perfection! Comfortable beds, strong air conditioning, and full private bathrooms in each bedroom. The kitchen and living room spaces were equally as great, and the hot tub was the cherry on top! We also loved the location right next to the park and walking distance from all the city's main attractions.

Valerie is a thoughtful host, everything was perfect the house, the outdoor spaces, and even the neighbors😁. In short, a very pleasant stay in a pretty area. Thanks again to Valerie. David & Virginia

The house was in a perfect location, it was quiet but close to everything. It was clean and well equipped. Marine was super responsive and easy to work with.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Clos Castaing. Kayaking, paddle boarding and canoeing on the Dordogne. Cycling and visiting local vineyards and St Emilion. The house is full of character, spacious and a perfect, tranquil base.

We had a wonderful stay. It is a humble apartment, but the grounds, courtyard and experience of living in an old castle created a once in a lifetime experience. The host was very kind and responsive.

We had a great stay at the Maison des Tilleuls. Cécile is very welcoming and we immediately felt at home. The house is nice with a large living room, which is nice because we were 3 couples. The garden is huge and very pretty. It's a haven of peace. It is fenced, which is appreciable with dogs. Several places with tables and garden furniture. Gourmet basket on arrival. Special memories made here. For those who love complete all but from the birds, views that are jaw-dropping, and accommodations simple but charming, this is for you. Be sure to bring your own kitchen stuff (plates , utensils, etc) but no cooking can take place other than with the use of the microwave. A wonderful host, who took the time to welcome us and explain where we were, and what we were looking at, made it all the more special. Thank you so much!

We had a great couple of weeks here. It proved an ideal location from which to explore the Périgord Vert. A very peaceful spot with a secure garden for our dog and walks nearby. The facilities in the cottage were excellent and as described and we really appreciated the bottle of wine and home made cake on arrival. The pool was very relaxing and comfortable and easily warm enough to swim in late May. There is an (excellent) boulangerie in the nearest village which is walkable and supermarkets for provisions in Brantôme. Several nearby towns had markets. Suzy and Steve (and Alfie) were lovely hosts and we fully recommend it. It was exactly what we wanted.

It was a pleasant stay and close to Bordeaux and even closer to cute towns along the river like Blaye. Lots to see and many wineries nearby as well! The accommodation is exactly as described and well worth it for the price.

A small stopover from Andalusia to Germany, very close to the highway, you can park safely in the yard, and you hear nothing...... unfortunately the fig trees were not ripe yet.. The hosts asked what time we would arrive, and were so kind as to turn on the air conditioning. Since we arrived late, we did not see the host, but when we left, and asked us if everything was okay, in any case we would stay there again

An enchanted break at the cabin by the pond! We had a great time close to nature. A warm welcome from Sara, with excellent sourdough bread. Access is simple and quick to this cocoon of greenery. The cabin is soft and full of charm. We were able to enjoy it under the sun, but also snuggling in it during a stormy evening, it was great and so cozy, the cabin is very well insulated; but if needed, the stove was already ready to heat this cozy place (we didn't need it.). We felt at home there. There are many nooks and crannies to enjoy this peaceful retreat, observe nature and adopt a peaceful way of life. We strongly recommend this place and its charming hostess. Although this was very much a flying visit after a very late work finish, Dominique made it easy for me to check in during the early hours. It was clean and excellent value for money

We had a fantastic week at La Gigon, so peaceful and relaxing, it had all we needed and more. Our 3 kids (6-9 years) had a ball in the pool and using all the games room had to offer. Judy was friendly and easy to communicate with and Jackie her property manager was welcoming and lovely. I highly recommend La Gigon and would love to return in the future.

A fantastic stay in the castle of Odette and François, two exceptional hosts, attentive, generous and discreet. The rooms are very pleasant, spacious, the garden is charming and the pool is great. Everything to please, including the other guests with whom we sympathized. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Château de Monciaux. We were 12 adults, 5 infants and 3 children and there was plenty of space for all of us. They were even able to accommodate our request for 5 high chairs and 5 cots, which came in very handy. Agnès was incredibly helpful during our stay and responded quickly to our enquiries, even dropping by in person one day to help sort something out. I would definitely recommend this place to any large groups!

Our stay at the venue was absolutely perfect! The location was peaceful and serene, and the amenities were spot-on. We couldn’t recommend this place more for anyone visiting Saint-Émilion. Pascal and Mathieu were incredibly kind, friendly, and easy to communicate with. The donkeys were adorable too — we think one of them should definitely be named Pedro!

Extremely hospitable and welcoming hosts. Made us feel right at home, almost as if we were friends of the family! Very helpful and responsive on messaging, provided excellent recommendations of things to do (recommend the kayaking) and even invited us to the local village fête de musique. A wonderful, relaxing and memorable time which we would certainly recommend.

This is one of the best AirBnBs we have ever stayed in. The views from the terrace are absolutely amazing, and the garden/ pool area is perfect for children of all ages. There are lots of lovely vineyards, markets and villages to visit within a 30 minute drive. Lovely cycling, walking and running right on the door step. The house itself is better than photographed, it is very spacious, clean and tidy with a well equipped kitchen for cooking for large groups. Hosts were responsive throughout to any questions.

An absolutely wonderful stay at L’Atelier. Perfect accommodation with everything one would need for a relaxing and restorative holiday. Swimming pool and air con were the icing on the cake! Lovely products and excellent cooking facilities, even a barbecue! Nicki and David were extremely helpful hosts offering suggestions on places to visit and restaurants to enjoy. This accommodation is situated in a quieter area of the Dordogne near the Dronne. Feel totally relaxed now and ready for the mania of the SE of U.K. - well almost ready 😂😂
