Joan is a wonderful host! We absolutely LOVED our stay! Her home is clean, tidy and very well kept. The area is safe, quiet, and her place has everything you need to cook yourself a nice meal. You can go for walks around the neighbourhood, and the grocery store is less than 10 min away by car. Joan is very helpful and always available to answer questions. She is kind and discreet and made us feel right at home! Also, it was really fun to watch the 3 chickens walking around her backyard :). I highly recommend her place. Remote, very quiet and a great place to disconnect!

Alain's quaint little cottage was homely, cozy, and peaceful. Alain and his wife were terrific hosts, welcoming us with warmth and offering many local recommendations. The place is right beside a long road which spans and opens up to the nearby river; we took every opportunity to go on walks and soak in nature. The cottage itself has everything you'd need for a few nights away from the city and is quite honestly larger than you'd expect. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. I'd recommend Alain's place to anyone looking for a peaceful stay away (but not too far) from the bustling Montreal region.

If you want to relax with all the necessary comforts, but in the middle of nature... this place is perfect for you. Several good restaurants, cafes, microbreweries, etc. are a few minutes' drive away, not to mention the famous P'tit Train du Nord track ideal for sports lovers.
