Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Barkley

This place is great if you want to get away from a big city hustle. You see more deer than you do cars when driving to the house. The house has everything you need (just bring food and toiletries and clothes)

We were in town for a wedding and this was a great place for four of us to stay. We had a lovely time and would recommend this home to anyone looking for a nice quiet stay with beautiful surroundings. The home was very clean and everything was just as described in the listing.

While the accommodations are fairly simple, and a bit cozy, the place was clean and comfortable and convenient for my needs. About the area - Stop for groceries before you arrive, because the nearest good supermarket is 20 minutes away. There is a Food Giant closer, but selection and quality there is marginal, at best. Hosts are great folks, and the surroundings are pleasant and peaceful. You will be hearing traffic cross the bridge that is fairly near behind the property, though.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would rent again! It was nice having our pups with us and they also enjoyed!

"The Spot" was perfect for our stay. The surroundings were so beautiful and peaceful. Upon arrival, my daughter spotted a deer nestled down in the wooded area just a few feet from the driveway. If you love nature, like I do, then you would definitely enjoy this location. The house was clean, nicely decorated, and stocked very well. The host...Khaled & Doreen, are awesome. They were very accommodating for our needs, and always quick to respond anytime I had a question. If you're looking for a nice "spot", this is it, in my opinion.

Beautiful clean home and kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. Highly recommend for a family retreat on the lake. Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. Kelly was friendly, super helpful & the location is stunning. We definitely would love to come back!

Beautiful, clean home. The neighborhood is quiet and my dog appreciated the fenced yard. I was in town for an award ceremony on base and it was very close to the base as well as stores and restaurants. Bed was comfy and I slept very well. If you need complete darkness to sleep, bring your eye mask (I have learned to)! Not a complaint; hopefully a helpful observation.

We had a great time! Tami was very responsive and super nice with all communications. There was a plumbing issue during our stay but they went over and above to make sure our needs were met. We would love to return if we are ever in the area again.

The suite is spacious and plenty of room for a couple. We enjoyed the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and sitting spaces. The peacock theme is adorable. Also, we appreciate plenty of cold bottled water and snack items. The setting is very peaceful.

Perfect for our needs - a couple of cyclists, plus mom and dog traveling to family reunion. Wish we could have stayed longer! Quality bedding, very comfortable beds, thoughtful touches like snacks which made us smile after a long day of traveling. Loved the downtown area! We’ll be back!

I normally don’t stay at Airbnb’s, being a camper, but I was pleasantly surprised. Dawn is a great host and I would recommend her Place to anyone.

Stayed here for a few nights—pretty clean space, comfortable bed (which is rare!), and a super responsive host. Location was decent and overall a pleasant stay. Only downside was parking; the lot was full a few nights, so I had to find alternatives. Also, as a female staying alone, walking down a dark alley to get to the unit at night might be a safety concern for some. Not a big deal for me, but worth noting. Would still recommend!

We spent a wonderful week in the heart of Paducah. We brought our sewing machines to work on quilting projects and were inspired by the work at the National Quilt Museum. The restaurants were delightful, and we walked everywhere. Good food, good people, and the perfect location to enjoy everything in town.

This was an amazing place to stay in Clarksville. I will be back!

Great stay in downtown Paducah. Communication was excellent and the condo was exactly as described. Easy to do cooking if you want or pop into some local eateries nearby. Wonderful shower and plenty of room in the closet to store hangup clothes and your bags. Definitely recommend for stay in beautiful downtown Paducah.

Sharon was a great host with good communication up front. We loved her spot in downtown Paducah, choosing it for how walkable it was with the cute shops and restaurants nearby. The spot was super clean and very comfortable and cozy. Great view of the river out her windows too. It was a 5 star stay! Our only complaint was the WiFi which was very slow and made watching a game impossible one night. Beyond that, the amenities were well thought out and there were even snacks on the counter and bottled water in the fridge. We didn’t use the kitchen much but it was well stocked and would have been easy to use if we hadn’t planned on primarily eating at the local restaurants. We came to town to eat at Freight House. It did NOT disappoint. This was a great spot to stay just a few blocks away. We really enjoyed the local bakery and coffee shop just around the corner in the mornings and were right across the Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning. Thanks for hosting us Sharon!
