Farmstay holiday rentals in Lake Päijänne

Hannas place was right on my bike trip wayfrom Nordkapp down to Helsinki. Quick response, even I contacted less than 24 before arrival. Living in a renovating old farm also was great expierence as well as swimming in nearby lake this very hot summer day. I recommend Hannas place.

Very good accommodation, bigger apartment than in the photos. The sauna in the basement was well-stocked with -25 degrees Celsius, and Matti warmed us up one day with a wood sauna. It's a shame it was too cold to visit the national park. Definitely will be back!

This place was just what we needed - a perfect respite in the middle of nature. The cottage was like straight out of a fairy tale: beautifully decorated, full of thoughtful details and a wonderful atmosphere. Soft saunas, silence and sweet dreams made me feel peaceful. The forest pond and evening bath in the tub crowned the day - steaming water under the stars, surrounded only by the sounds of the forest. It felt like time had stopped. And the hosts' own pancakes - a warm gesture that made me feel truly welcome. A heartfelt place where you want to return again.

A stunning, idyllic farm in nature! The cozy old barn was neat and comfortably decorated. We also enjoyed the sauna and swimming in full peace and quiet at the beach sauna and a delicious breakfast in the cozy milieu. Thanks to the hosts!

The perfect cottage stay in the middle of total natural peace. My friend and I stayed in the old barn and enjoyed the idyllic lake scenery. For an additional fee, we also got a sauna. Communication was very smooth, and the welcome was flexible and friendly. Highly recommend!

A great place for someone who needs their own peace from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A rather modest, traditional basic cottage with an outdoor toilet and a wood-burning sauna. Very good steam in the sauna! The fireplace in the living room also worked well. Price/quality ratio in place, hosts friendly. Easy to come and go. Thank you! ps. Finland's best hamburger restaurant just a few kilometers away.

Irma's farm house is located near Ruovesi, in a calm and peaceful area in Finland. It took us about thee hours by car from Helsinki to get there. The scenery was beautiful along the way, with birch trees, pine trees, dandelions, sometimes punctuated by lakes. Irma warmly welcomed our visit and showed great hospitality throughout the stay. We stayed at one of the houses for two nights. The house was kept very clean, furnished with traditional carpets. We heard from Irma how the family has been keeping the property as they were before (17th century?). The moden facility like kitchen and bathroom also worked fine. From there, we went to hike in the Helvetinjärvi National Park, a relatively easy hike just for half a day. We walked around some lakes nearby. We had two breakfasts and one dinner at her home. After the dinner, we went to sauna, which is located just in front of the lake, offering a panoramic view toward the lake and forest. It was great to experience the nature and culture at her farmhouse and the area. We heartily thank Irma for her kindness and hospitality.

Spacious, cozy, and tidy residential building. I got well-crafted food, watched TV in the evening, and the fireplace was an atmospheric creator. It's especially nice to have the dog to stay. I received early instructions for the stay and convenient to arrive at any time.

A clean and peaceful place to stay. I recommend it! I had a good sleep!

Just a lovely place, everything worked well, idyllic surroundings, with a point on top of ponies and horses in the pasture . Close to a good beach and idyllic village shop. Great barbecue in the yard. Tidy rooms and common areas. It would have been a chance for breakfast in the beautiful main building, but we didn't use it this time. Here, if you can, it's a good idea to stop by the beautiful village of Iiti.

I felt very welcome in the lively property and felt at home.

Matti is a great host and easy to approach. His checkin process was pretty good. We had all the amenities as he promised. We had a nice stay in a big house with Sauna. The place is perfect for big group. Also, we really enjoyed the snow scooter ride and that is the best part of our trip :). There is a possibility for Tesla charging as well. I highly recommend this place!!.
