Absolutely loved my stay here, wish I could come back every weekend, owning something like this is a dream!

Great vacation! The pool is much larger than appears in the photos - our family of 4 enjoyed it very much several times. Right on the lake with lots to do - canoes provided. We had a lovely time and will definitely remember this location for future Gun Barrel City vacations. Highly recommended.

Great place! From beginning to end, Ron was very communicative, accommodating and helpful. The home was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the salt water pool was inviting. The beds were great as well. The neighborhood was very quiet and well maintained. No problem with neighbors or noise at all. We did have trouble with the app for the door, but Ron was helpful with this as well. Once he got us going, we didn't have any issues with it. I am not a fan of using an app to lock and unlock the door but that's just me. There are probably plenty of people that like it. The only other minor issue we had was not having a few things on hand and running out of some supplies. Because Ron was so helpful in general, if it had been necessary I feel like I could have contacted him and he would have taken care of it. Because of how clean and comfortable the house was and how helpful Ron was, I can easily give Amanda Retreat a five star.

Our move from Rockwall to Austin hit a big issue which forced me to find lodging for a night in rockwall. With no rooms available at hotels, this was my only option and my heart dropped when I saw the per night cost. However, the home offered everything we needed to keep our young kids distracted and occupied during a terrible relocation experience. The pool was amazing and the home gave my wife and kids peace of mind and for that, the price was worth every single penny. Thank you so much Roxanne!

This is the second time we rent this house. This is the perfect summer getaway for a weekend with friends and family! We appreciated the numerous amenities, including the large firepit, the ponds and the boats available for use. Thank you to the host for having us.

My family and I had a great time at this Airbnb. Definitely recommend. Close to everything. Amenities were fun we used everything multiple times.

We loved this spacious and wonderful home. It fit our large family and gave us privacy. Peaceful while still being close to town for a quick store run. We loved the swimming pool and billiards table. And our favorite is the large dining table we were all able to sit at together.

We really enjoyed the pool, pizza oven and peaceful feeling. While we did go out to eat and different locations it was great to just sit and hangout.

This place checked every box and more. Great escape and peaceful place to spend time with nature and amenities!

We loved our stay. Heather is an amazing host & the home is super quaint. It’s like stepping into Joanna Gaines Magnolias shop.

My group of friends raved about the place. It was very well done, had everything we needed and more. The hosts were incredible and have thought of virtually everything. I definitely want to return this property in the future.

It was great, they was very responsive and I was happy with the stay I tried booking again, but it was already booked!!! That’s how you know this is the place to stay. I was actually worried to post a good review because then they could be booked all the time and I’d never get a chance to book again 😂

Overall we had a good stay, Check in and out instructions were clear, beautiful property on the lake, however the dock advertised in the listing is nothing like it is in pictures…. It is unusable because of the amount of spiders that call it home I’m sure it maybe hard to stay on top of keeping them out of the dock but necessary for full use of the property as advertised.

This place was absolutely perfect for what we needed this weekend during the 2025 31st Skeeter Owners Tournament! Very accessible to the Boat House where we could keep the boat in the water and not have to load and unload throughout the day like we have in the past. The house was beautifully kept and the perfect size for our entire family of five. We hope to stay here again next year!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the lake house. It was such a peaceful & relaxing trip. The house itself is wonderful & you will feel right at home. Ron was an awesome host. He is very attentive & very responsive. It was so much fun to just be able to walk the path from the house to the lake & go fishing. We caught lots of crappie & catfish right off the dock & my husband actually caught a 6 pound bass off the dock as well. That was the coolest experience & the biggest bass I ever saw in person. We also had fun fishing at night with the green light/green monster that Ron has submerged in the water near the dock. It was a wonderful stay :)

Fantastic stay for a wedding weekend! Was very comfortable for 3 couples. We all had our own bathroom and a great living and dining area to accommodate all of us. Liz was very responsive and you can tell she is a host that goes the extra mile! Would recommend for anyone in East Texas.

Overall our stay was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of room for dining and the kitchen was nice with a gas stove. For me that is a plus! Kitchen also had the majority of items of home. The yard is nice for dogs to roam with fishing available at the back of the property. The only thing I wished it had would be a dock. The property is located close to most things to do. The host is very nice and responsive. This would be a repeat to stay if I was coming back to the area.

We had a family reunion with 3 families and ALL of us are still talking about how awesome the homes were. First off let me start by say Danelle the property manager made this trip extra special. From the first text 6 months ago she has been so helpful. Recommending Cedar Creek boat rental, the nicest people. Checking in to make sure if we need anything and answering my text in minutes. Thank you Danelle for having a great team around you the homes were so clean, just stocked with all the things you need. I’ve rented many Airbnb this is by far is the best. Home away from home!

WOW! The pictures do not do it justice! Felicia’s place far exceeded the listing! One of the best places I have stayed in. The place is serene! When you walk in you feel like you are in a magazine. So comfy and inviting! Felicia has thought of every single detail. Scones greeted us and homemade cinnamon rolls were delivered in the morning. The area is so peaceful. We will definitely be back! Thank you Felicia for an incredible stay!

Absolutely beautiful home! The pictures do not do it justice! It is set up perfectly! Marla’s communication is impeccable! Hands down the worth every penny! Parking was great! Easy access in and out. We traveled to Lake Fork for the Skeeter Boat Owners Tournament. Her extra touches to detail show! Will definitely book with this host again!

It was a great stay !! me and my wife really lived the hammock next to the water , it was nice , 10/10 i recommend coming again !

The home is incredible and the host /Nicole was helpful and quickly responded to all messages before and after trip. There is nothing I can complain about. I wish it was my home!! I would love to go back!

Our book club had such a great time. Reading and relaxing here was amazing.

Enjoyed our stay even though our trip was cut short due to weather issues. Joel was extremely attentive and helpful through everything. Had such a good time fishing off the dock, and the movie/game room area was a really nice touch. Would love to stay here again and experience some of the things we didn’t get to fully do with our time there. Highly recommend!
