A beautiful private home that is exceptionally designed, appointed, and decorated. Stunning and kept grounds, and absolute quiet at night. Cannot recommend enough.

We had such a wonderful stay at Janice’s place! From the start, her communication was clear, friendly, and super helpful. The home itself had everything we needed and more—spacious, well-equipped, and really comfortable. The location was perfect for us, close to everything but still peaceful. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out and relax, which made a big difference. We’d definitely love to stay again!

Oceanview Escape is a brilliant place to stay, fantastic coffee and food next door and beautiful beach across the road. Mike is great host, and we would love to stay again sometime in the future.

We had such a great stay at Rachel’s beautiful home! The house was spotless, cozy and had everything we needed. Rachel was incredibly responsive and kindly let us check in early which was a bonus. The outdoor fireplace and huge backyard were the highlight of our stay. Only a short 15 min drive to Mangawhai town centre and the beach. We would 100% come back and stay again!

A lovely place! I had been experiencing some stress recently, so this was a great place to come to unwind. I thrashed it out on the nearby Mt Manaia- handy being in the area! Recommended. Plus shops etc not to far away by car. Comfy bed, clean, and just generally awesome. I should have read the place name properly/ used my common sense....couldn't go kayaking because of the tide (was low in the late afternoon and morning)- my fault for not figuring that out!! Just have to come back then 😉 Thanks guys, awesome place.

Great value for money in a good location. We didn't have the best weather so the Scrabble and Netflix came in handy. Lovely big clean bathroom and well equipped kitchen, it was just unfortunate the dishwasher was broken while we were there but it wasn't a biggie. Would recommend as a central location for day-tripping in the region.

We had a lovely restful stay at Murray and Patsy's place. The view was amazing, the surroundings quiet and the accommodation was very clean, cosy and well equipped. We can recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and refreshing get away. We took our binoculars and had fun watching the ships heading for Auckland harbour, as well as a beautiful yacht and the odd small fishing boat. We look forward to coming again. Vidak and Nelliette

Leanne was a wonderful host; excellent with communication and very helpful. The accomodation has a stunning view and is beautifully kept - comfortable, clean and just right for our stay (a two-nighter). The location was excellent; close to the city which has wonderful restaurants - of note The Quay. Highly recommended.

Mark & Leone were great hosts --- very responsive, accommodating and helpful. Check-in process was simple and with clear instructions. The studio apartment was clean, comfortable, quiet and private, with amazing views and an almost private beach on the doorstep ----- a simple and wonderful place to relax!

One of the best places we've stayed in. Had everything we could want for our 4 night stay. Great shower, bathroom with washer and dryer. Lovely and cosy in winter, barely needed the heater on. Big comfy bed and great selection of pillows. Fully equipped kitchen. Unfortunately couldn't use the BBQ and outdoor setting because of the wind and rain - we'll have to go back for that. Fantastic views over water to the Whangerai Heads. Could park right up close. Had access to a clothes line and outdoor sink - perfect for washing muddy shoes and golf clubs before our trip home.

Absolutely awesome place which was comfortable with plenty of space & everything we needed for our stay. Enjoyed the recreation room & nice sunny back yard to relax in with lovely bird life. Fabulously close walking distance to beach where we enjoyed a nice stroll. Highly recommended

We loved our stay at Gay’s pool suite. The decorations were so charming, the gardens lush, the pool so fun right outside. And Gay made a bunch of garden games available to our kids which was awesome. Everything we needed was there. It was a lovely stay.

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

Fabulous hosts, lovely accommodation. We stayed for three nights, and all loved it including our puppy. If we didn't have to be back home for things, we would've extended our stay by a couple more nights. I'm sure we will be back again though. Thanks for the lovely stay
