Old Gardener’s House – a waterside paradise

The former gardener’s house, originally built in 1710, is nestled in the stunning natural landscape of the picturesque Holsteinische Schweiz, directly on the Schwentine River, one of Schleswig-Holstein’s longest rivers. In 2025, the house was lovingly restored with meticulous attention to detail. The result is a true gem situated directly opposite Schleswig-Holstein’s oldest manor estate. The surrounding landscape of lakes, fields, forests, and gentle hills lends the area its captivating charm.

"Goldmädchen - Honeymoon Suite" A luxury-class beach villa welcomes you on the first sea line. The 125-year-old villa "Goldmädchen" was faithfully renovated in 2021. The result is four spacious, modern and exclusively equipped apartments. Enjoy the view over the Bay of Lübeck from the rooftop terrace of the Goldmädchen. The apartment has two bedrooms, a living/dining area with kitchen island, a bathroom, a sauna and a large roof terrace facing the sea.

Take a break in our in-law apartment on the upper floor of our detached house! Quietly located, you are in about 5 minutes on idyllic paths between fields or along the Schwentine. In addition, the train station is about a 5-minute walk away and you can reach Kiel Central Station or the Schusterstadt Preetz within 10 minutes. You can end the day optimally on the loggia (SO orientation). Wifi, smart TV with streaming services & bike parking available.

The Gatehouse (Torhaus) in Kletkamp was built in 1775 and, along with the many other gatehouses in Schleswig-Holstein, is one of the most beautiful in the country. In addition to the generous living space of 200 m², the half of the house on the waterfront offers a wonderful view of the oldest manor house in the country. The nearest beach is only 11 km from the accommodation and offers bathing fun as well as cozy restaurants with Nordic dishes.

The location is perfect for cyclists and nature lovers. You can relax in the garden, barbecue, sit by the fire pit, and sip your morning coffee by the small garden pond. The apartment is about 100 m², has 2 rooms, kitchen and bathroom. It is on level ground and has its own entrance. It has its own terrace and is located to the south side of the house. The rooms are furnished with antique furniture. Kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, oven, fridge. The bathroom has a large corner bath and a double sink. In the living room is a large flat screen. And many shelves with books to suit every taste.

Our newly renovated two-room holiday apartment in Preetz offers nature-close living in a central location by the Kirchsee. It has a private entrance with dining area and kitchenette, plus separate living and sleeping spaces. A spacious garden and the jetty with direct lake access are available for shared use.
