Beachfront holiday rental in Le Château-d'Oléron

The accommodation is perfect for a stay as a couple. The beach is barely 2 minutes' walk and shops are also accessible in 5 minutes' walk. This is the perfect place to park the car and enjoy. Everything is as described with quality materials. I highly recommend it!

Very nice well-appointed studio with in particular the bathroom and toilet space arranged in a way that has privacy (quite rare in housing👍) the outdoor spaces are simply beautiful and I would say that I place the welcome among the best I have received... human, helpful, discreet and responsive at the same time... well done to both of you 🌞

We had a great time and enjoyed the gîte. Julie offers the space over-complete. There's nothing we missed. The immediate surroundings were also surprising. On weekends, there is a small market in the morning, there is an épicerie two doors down, and from the front door of the gîte, it is literally a 20-step walk to the terrace of a great bar/restaurant. In short, recommended! Julie is very friendly and responds very quickly to questions.

We had a great time at La Flotte. Beatrice is really very friendly with lots of good advice even though we knew the island very well. The pool is a real plus and the garden is very zen. We'll be happy to go back.

Accommodation as described, very clean, well-equipped and perfect for a couple. The location is ideal for those who aspire to calm and authenticity while being close to tourist sites. Vanina and her family are welcoming and will tell you about the charming places to discover. Recommended.

Ideally located, this accommodation is perfect for discovering the island of Ré and its beautiful landscapes by bike (rental right next door, friendly). The little extra is the sauna. Beautiful decoration, well-equipped. Good communication with the host who gives good advice. Parking right across.

We stayed with four adults and two children for a week at Le Carrelet and we enjoyed it very much. The house is very nice, large and open. Nevertheless, everyone also has their privacy. The kids played a lot in the garden, were in the pool or out on the street. Everything was clean, in good condition and stylish. The location is beautiful, very close to the beach. However, it is about 20 minutes by foot or 5 minutes by car to the center of Fouras. For restaurants or the bakery, you have to take this path. Otherwise, it is a good starting point for excursions, such as La Rochelle. Even on days with bad weather, we felt very comfortable and enjoyed the time in the house. We will be happy to come back.

Beautiful house suitable for children and recently renovated. The secure swimming pool and private access to the beach through a forest are a plus. many things available on site such as barbecue, well-equipped kitchen and games for children. Very welcoming and responsive hosts. Even better than in the photos. We'll be back!

Celine’s house was lovely and extremely well located. The lovely restaurants of La Flotte and the local market were a short walk, and we loved biking around the island. The house itself is gorgeous. We will definitely return!

Carmen is a great host, very responsive, helpful and friendly. Her place is fab, in a great location by the lagoon. As two families we enjoyed the privacy of the ensuite room with separate entrance. Having another ensuite and separate bathroom worked well for us. The main space with a little kitchen area at the back was well used too, opening out onto the terraces with ever changing views of the sea and amazing sunsets. The only issue, out of our host's control, was the bugs - mosquitoes weren't repelled by our repellent or deterred by long clothes, and the gnats and wasps were also persistent during the sunny weather. La Plage restaurant, two doors along, is welcoming for drinks and great seafood. There is an obstacle course and exercise route just along the prom for the kids as well as a baguette machine and another restaurant which rarely seemed to be open! Lidl, E Leclerc and Intermarche are within 10 mins drive. La Rochelle and Cognac within 1 hour. We would happily return.

We had an extremely pleasant week with our family in Saint Trojan. Our hosts were very welcoming, the accommodation was comfortable, extremely clean and what to say about the beautiful location. We'll be happy to go back!

We were greeted by Philippe and his wife who are really very friendly. Nice little house with its small courtyard, it lacks nothing, everything is there, bike path nearby where we had a great ride, supermarket nearby. Philippe is very responsive and responds very quickly to messages. We are delighted with our week on Oléron Island. I recommend Philippe's little house.

We had a wonderful time with the family in Elsa's house and especially enjoyed the quiet location and the great terrace. We also enjoyed the beach of Gran Village, which we reached via a beautiful bike path. We found the house clean, as in the photos. Only the bathrooms/showers now showed signs of wear. The washing machine and dryer were very practical. Elsa was very friendly and accommodating in communication. We definitely recommend the place for a relaxing beach vacation on Ile d'Oleron!

Heavenly place a few steps from the ocean! A peaceful haven in a small, very pleasant, functional, well-equipped house that stays cool in hot weather: a real joy! The bed is very comfortable and the environment is quiet, conducive to rejuvenating nights. You can hear the waves from the garden! We will be happy to come back...
