Irene’s home is very warm and beautiful, nicely themed house with her life experiences all over the world, it was beautiful chatting with her.A very friendly lady, accommodating me last minute, I was also offered a wonderful humble meal , would stay again in the future!

What an amazing house, dog friendly, too! Perfect location for our family wedding. Frances was most helpful and very accommodating. Will stay again next time we visit family in Holmbridge.

We used this as a base for a couple of days cycling and it was ideal. Fiona and James were very friendly. Everything was as expected. Short (but slightly muddy) walk to a pleasant pub serving good food.

Had a fantastic stay at Pondon Mill this weekend. We were made to feel so welcome, the breakfast was fantastic. We did establish our dog is scared of cats, but as Barbara suggested we just need to get one of our own to train him. We will definitely be returning. Amazing setting, lovely people. Fantastic place to stay with so much history. Thank you for having us!

We stayed for a wedding that was happening locally in Marsden. Flexible check-in made it nice and easy to drop our bags and get dressed before heading into Marsden. Taxi back from Marsden was only £7 and we walked back in the next day to get our car with a pavement running all the way into town. Accommodation was spotless, bed was comfy, shower was hot and powerful. Complimentary coffee and tea. Couldn’t find fault at all. We opted for breakfast the next morning at £15 per person. Included full English, toast & jams, tea/coffee and juice. Was very well cooked. Thank you 😀

We had a great stay and left feeling fully recharged, to complete our mountain bike trip on the Mary Towneley Loop. Pete is a helpful and kind host and we enjoyed his walkable suggestions for an evening meal and breakfast. We rehydrated well with the tea & coffee supplies, had a good shower, and slept well. It's a comfy big bed, in a large airy room that is quiet and clean. Excellent value and happy to recommend.

Beautiful location. Own parking area. Clean tidy rooms. Bathroom had a jacuzzi bath which was a god send after all the walks. Selection of cereal in room along with plenty of tea and coffee and a pint of milk in the fridge. Claire and Robbie were great hosts. Gave us a run down of Castleton and where to go. Friendly banter and made us feel very welcome. They were very responsive to anything we asked. Highly recommend this as a place to stay as it is accessible to so many walks including Mam Tor and Castleton has numerous pubs and restaurants to choose in such a small area so there is always somewhere to have refreshment and nourish after a walking day. Went to Liverpool for the victory parade. I never met Claire as she was happy to leave us in peace, but she was always very quick to respond when I had questions. the room was spotless and fixtures and furnishings were lovely. Location had great transport links which Claire gave full details of in her messages to me. The bed was super comfortable and I had the best night's sleep in ages (though the day's activities may have played a small part!). i can't thank Claire enough and say that she's a fantastic host.

We had a great one night stay here. Jane made us feel right at home from the moment we walked through the door. If we’re ever in the area again we’ll be sure to come back.

Ian and Fiona are very friendly! I immediately felt welcome at their home. Breakfast was lovely and I enjoyed the bath after a walk. They know a lot about the area and I received a whole hiking plan. Which I was incredibly happy with! The scenery is beautiful. Had three amazing days!

Helen and John were delightful hosts, extremely accommodating, and made us feel most welcome in their home. Both rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable with modern bathrooms. Helen’s communication was excellent throughout, and she provided a delicious and generous breakfast. Quick access to Crosby and Formby, and an easy 20 minute drive to the city centre. Really nice canalside location, great vibe inside. Andrew was a cracking host, and the breakfast was lovely, he was happy to cater for vegetarians. Comfy bed, great shower, and a formidable library of books for your pleasure. Lovely bloke, lovely place, will definitely visit again.

I really enjoyed my stay! Angela was very welcoming and friendly, and had great recommendations for my stay. The place was beautiful and was a good base for some amazing hikes.

I stayed with Eileen for 3 nights. I found Eileen very friendly, welcoming, helpful and extremely accommodating ❤️ I would definitely stay there again, 1 of the best hosts I have ever stayed with. She gave me some great advice to make the most of my time there. Thank you Eileen for making me feel at home and for everything you did for me ❤️

We stayed in the Forge which is a lovely stone annexe to the main house, luxuriously appointed and very comfortable. We were visiting our daughter at Edge Hill uni and this was the perfect base. Janet was also very helpful in helping us get various things sorted out for our daughter, going way beyond to assist. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of tasty, wholesome options. We will stay here again, and look forward to our next visit.

I came to Amal’s place after joining the LFC parade. Can’t ask for more in a cold and wet night - a hot shower and comfortable bed just healed me. Host is friendly and helpful too.

We had a really lovely stay. Steve greeted us and looked after us. He couldn't have been more helpful. Our room was really comfortable and spotless. There is plenty of parking. Breakfast was delicious too.
