This cabin was an absolute dream for our mothers' first visit to Canada! We were looking for something special, and this place exceeded all expectations. The location was ideal – a perfect blend of natural beauty and proximity to the city. What truly amazed us was how much more beautiful it was in person compared to the already great photos. The serene lake view, the perfectly stocked kitchen, and the immaculate cleanliness all contributed to an unforgettable stay. You can feel the warmth and care in every detail. The hosts were also fantastic, with quick and kind communication. They even helped us retrieve keys we'd accidentally left behind! We can't wait to return and highly recommend this incredible retreat.

We had an amazing time at Pete’s. The location was perfect, we had our own private beach. The kids enjoyed the provided kayaks and water toys. Our dogs lived in the water for 7 days. The house is much bigger than it appears in photos, and has ample room for a large family or group.

We had such an amazing time. Never a moment of "what to do next". The house was very clean and well equipped. Really all you need is a toothbrush, and you're good to go. 😆 Our nights of sitting around the campfire, playing pool, board games, and paddle boarding will forever be a memorable vacation. The amount of board games is incredible! Though to me the paddle board was everything. Laying on that board out in the middle of the water in complete silence..there's nothing like it. Such a peaceful spot. Highly recommend, and will absolutely be visiting again. Also, downtown being close, was key. Our first day was spent walking throughout the city enjoying all of the amazing architecture, Museums and visiting the ByWard Market. The amount of food and shopping is fantastic. Another must see is the Diefenbunker. We spent 3 hours touring the 4 underground levels. You have opened our eyes on just how beautiful Ottawa is, and we look forward to our next journey there. Again, ty. 💕

Some places are just houses. Others hold space and pause. From the first moment we walked in, "The River Retreat" welcomed us like a warm hug. My siblings and I came here to honour the one-year anniversary of our mother’s passing, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. Peaceful, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches. Every room, view, and amenity gave us a chance to breathe, reflect, and spend quality family time together. We tried all the amenities, including the hot tub, canoe, kayaks, fire pit, and pool table. But our favourite pass time and location was definitely the home cooked meals around the round table overlooking the river. We left feeling full in every sense. Thank you Marlene and Morgan for being such fantastic hosts! We’ll absolutely be back.

This was simply breathtaking. My guests and I could not believe how amazing the sights were from the cabin. Even though the lake was frozen, it was still a wonderful things to experience and see. All they could ask was how I was able to find something that beautiful. I’m definitely looking forward to going back. I wish we had places like this in the US.

Great location by the river. Peaceful minus the mosquitos. 10 mins from groceries and the sports complex.

Host was welcoming and very responsive. Instructions were clear, the place was clean. The place was so lovely, will definitely visit again. We had an overall great stay at Jie’s cottage!

We had a really nice stay at Nadia and John's cottage. The deck was fantastic, and the cottage was really clean and comfortable. The week went by too quickly.

Beautiful place to relax. we did not go on the water but did use the hot tub. House main floor has an open concept which is nice for kids.

It is a beautiful place and just like the pictures wonderful owners and were very open to our special needs. Open communications and they check in to see if there is anything else you need or if something is missing. Great location and private. We have referred this location to other members of our family and will look and see if it is available the next time we come this way

It's my third visit at Joshua's place and I have always enjoyed my time there.

We were very pleased with our stay! The cottage was exactly what we had hoped for — cozy, well-equipped, and comfortable. Although the weather wasn’t ideal on our first day, we made the most of it and still had a wonderful time. The views were absolutely spectacular. Everything worked perfectly, and Ashley’s clear instructions made the entire experience seamless. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Ashley’s cottage!

The Pinon cottage was a 10/10. Very clean, bright, beautiful decor, had everything you needed, the lake view was a bonus for sure. Hosts were very quick to answer any concerns we had. . So peaceful, and relaxing. Outdoor is kept very clean. Will definitely want to return and recommend to family and friends. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one.

Had an amazing stay in this cozy chalet with a beautiful lake and fall views full of colours! Gurmeet was very responsive and helpful. The drive to this place makes the experience even more beautiful and worthwhile. Will visit again!!

My family had the pleasure of staying here for the first week in June 2025. We had a fabulous week enjoying this fabulous cottage and its surroundings. The inside offered us all the comfort and things we needed, including an awesome hot tub "tub" complete with rolled towels, clothes pegs and plastic glasses! Everything was exceptionally clean and there were lots of great books and games to keep us entertained as we lazed around the beautiful property. The kayaks and paddle boards were so much fun as we explored both directions on the river. Honestly the property was SO nice we hardly wanted to leave it but we did manage to get out a few days to visit Ottawa and the cute towns of Perth & Almonte. Two fabulous restaurants we visited and recommend is Joe's Italian Kitchen (In Almonte) and Michael's Table in Perth. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog Russ who had the BEST time all week enjoying the water, boats and watching the wild life from his little fur rug in sunny bay window.

This was my second year staying at Guy's, you can be sure I'll keep on making that 3.5 hour drive from Montreal every year. We found out that there's trout lakes in the area that are stocked yearly. I've yet to try their charted fishing service, but it's on my things to do list. Guy is quick to respond to any of our question, you will be in safe hands on your stay. I'll probably try and book a second trip up before the summer is over, hoping the schedule isn't all booked up.

We stayed at La Belle Denis cabin and it was literally as presented in the picture. The cabin is warm in winter with hot water ! Perfect for a weekend gateway. We love the quietness in winter and the trail on the property. We hope to comeback in Summer to check out the lake! Shu

Lovely log cabin on the lake. Very serene and peaceful. Andrew was very easy to coordinate with. The cottage was clean and rustic, with a beautiful exterior and deck/fire pit. The lake is very nice. My wife and I had a very relaxing time and would come back.

We had a very fun and peaceful stay at Stephanie’s place. Stephanie was a great and always responsive host. The cottage was very spacious and had all the listed amenities, meaning it was exactly as advertised and exactly what we were looking for.

We loved it! The cottage is located in a private area on the lake, well-decorated, and has 4 levels making it very spacious. The hottub and sauna were awesome - perfect for our winter stay. We liked the couch in the downstairs living room as it was big and comfortable, and we appreciated the Roku for easy streaming. We had no issues driving to the cottage even after heavy snowfall - the private road and driveway were cleared. Walkways, stairs and decks were also cleared. Plenty of room outside for walks with a dog and other activities. We would highly recommend Siobhan’s cottage!

Place was beautiful , great location, private and lots to do … well stocked kitchen and games. Just a little issues with checking in but Francis was able to set up remotely and stayed in touch throughout. Also offered late checkout . Will definitely visit again… thank you for being a great Host !
