The house is a traditional Normandy longhouse, made of granite, wood and tile. There are 185 square meters of indoor space. The farmhouse has been sensitively restored using traditional materials. La Pichardiere sits in the heart of the Normandy countryside far away from busy traffic in a secluded two acre garden set in a corner of a regional park (equivalent to a National Park in UK) -- It is a place to escape from city life! I love its peacefulness and the presence of the natural world.

Welcome to Gite Des Roses, set within a 300 year old farmhouse surrounded by the Normandy countryside. Myself, my husband, our dog, cat and 5 free range chickens love it here. One dog allowed per stay. 2 on request. Dogs to be kept on a lead in garden. In a house rebuilt at the beginning of the 19th century having preserved part of the vault of a 16th century chapel, you can enjoy on the ground floor a cozy living room with wood stove as well as a kitchen area and a separate toilet. Upstairs you will find a lovely mezzanine bedroom with sink and corner bathtub. Garden furniture is at your disposal as well as a heated swimming pool, in addition to two bicycles to discover Saint Céneri and the Alpes Mancelles.

Mini gîte "Le petit fournil" in Normandy

Our old bakery is part of our farmhouse. On the ground floor, it is equipped with an equipped kitchen and a shower room with toilet. Upstairs, an attic bedroom has 3 separate beds. Outside, our guests have access to a private terrace with garden furniture. For breakfast, we offer bread made on the farm from cereals grown by us. Close to the greenway, walkers will appreciate this stopover.

Le Vieux Fournil still has the original bread oven opening into the living space in this wonderfully quirky building. The kitchen and bathroom are housed in the original woodstore and pig sty and the bedroom is converted in the hayloft. The house is 2 km’s from the historic town of Lassay-les-Châteaux with its fortified medieval chateau., winding streets and gardens.
