Family-friendly holiday rentals in Leucadia, Encinitas

This place was exactly what we needed for our family’s first trip to San Diego! We had 7 adults and one baby and this was a perfect set up for us! The amenities and ability to walk to the beach, town, and pickle ball courts made our stay memorable. Would stay again! So safe and such a responsive host. Thank you!!! :)

We really enjoyed our stay! It looked like the photos - it was actually larger than expected! For being a pet friendly bnb it was VERY clean. I am allergic to dogs but have a small hypoallergenic dog - usually linens/blankets in pet friendly bnb's have remnant pet hair but not at this place -- there was none! The bed was very comfortable - the couch was a bit worn/springy (but this may be because its a pull out) -- the living room chairs offered a more comfortable/supportive seat when needed. The kitchen was big enough to cook in (although we ate out the whole visit). Having reserved parking was awesome! The alley was a bit dirty (not the host's fault) and some people drive very fast through there (FYI). For summer visits, note: There was no AC in this place - I could see this being an issue if you're spending the day inside mid summer but it was cool for our visit so this was not an issue for us - the host provides some nice instructions on how to take advantage of the natural AC.

My boyfriend and I stayed her for 3 nights during MDW. It was such a cute place and felt very cozy. There was plenty of room in the kitchen to cook meals and the views were amazing. The bed up stairs was very comfortable, and we both got great sleep during our stay. The location was perfect, less than 20 minutes into the city and a 30 minutes from La Jolla. Theirs alos a lot to do right in the area. Definitely check out the Secret Stairs & Mount Helix Park. Cowles Moutan is also a must if you’re into hiking. All of these things are just a short drive from the Airbnb. If you’re staying on a Saturday then you have to go to the farmers market in Little Italy. I definitely recommend you staying here if you plan to visit San Diego. You’ll get the peace and quiet of a small town while also being close to the city and beaches.

The location of Purdom's beach house is amazing - walkable to the beach and the village, close enough to the freeway but not too close. The backyard of the house is fabulous ... two BBQ's, grass, lots of chaise lounges and seating. Tons of beach gear, sports equipment, rafts, towels, tote bags in the garage which is big enough for an SUV. Lotss of cookware and dishes in the kitchen, also paper plates and plastic utensils .. very well stocked. Privacy is great as well if you want - the separate suite/apartment with its own entrance is perfect. A/C units were super helpful as it was pretty warm a couple days and evenings.

Great place we'd love to revisit! Carlsbad is a favorite spot and this place checks all the boxes for our needs/wants!

The location was great, close to many restaurants and shops, great ocean breeze, great ocean view from the room, beautiful grounds, and 5 minutes from my sons house on Camp Pendleton!

A perfect place for our family during our short stay in San Diego. Clean, comfortable, conveniently located and excellent value. Teri also went above and beyond and we really appreciated her proactive help.

This was the second time that my family stayed at this AirBnB, and we absolutely love the condo's proximity to the beach. The condo itself is clean with all the basic essentials that you need... boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, and cooking supplies. Both of the times that we've stayed here the condo has been very quiet; we've never heard noise from neighbors. The condo community has several pools, hot tubs, and a tennis court plus the spectacular clubhouse with panoramic ocean views. There are lots of little coffee shops and places to walk to near the condo community and it's very family friendly. The mattresses and pillows are dated, but aside from that this condo is truly a gem.

The apartment is, well appointed, spacious & complete with everything you could want. The gardens are beyond beautiful, with lots of interesting trees and shrubbery and even a walking trail around the whole property. The pool is lovely and child safe. We felt very safe, there was an entry code for the front gate and another for our unit. The whole house is located in a beautiful, upscale area.

View was spectacular! Loved the decor style! It’s an older unit but still well maintained. Loved the amenities and proximity to the beach and restaurants in Oceanside. Would definitely stay here again!
