The Romantic Bothy by Interhome

SuzanneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Book The Bothy for your Scottish Highlands stay!! I cannot encourage you strongly enough. We stayed 4 nights; wished we had more. The location is fantastic--both for staying on the grounds and for venturing out to other places. The Bothy is centrally located so that you can easily access Inverness, Glen Affric, the Cairngorms, and Isle of Skye--and many other places. Ft Augustus is only 12 min away with cute shops and restaurants. Invermoriston, only 2 min away, w/a lovely cafe for breakfast or cake! The grounds The Bothy is part of will make you want to stay put for a day: a beach right on Loch Ness with a tower you can climb, a pond with ducks and lily pads, and an island with a Summer House on it. That was our favorite. We ended every night with wine and snacks in the summer house looking out over Loch Ness and surrounding hills. We met the owners, Dennis and Marion--lovely people with wonderful suggestions. Dan, from InverHome, was like a personal concierge. We hope to return!!

Charming place with everything we needed. Good beds. I loved to sit on the stairs at the door with a cup of tea endoring the flowers and watch the feeding birds.

Luxury self-catering log cabin at Assich Zen Lodge

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Stephen’s zen lodge was an absolute gem. We had an incredible night here , the lodge is beautiful as are the surrounds , so cosy and Stephen has clearly gone to a lot of effort in making a folio he left us full of recommendations of things to do in the area . The whiskey, tablet and shortbread was just the icing on the cake of what was already an environment that made us feel instantly at home . Only wish we’d stayed longer . Absolutely recommend .

This is a lovely, cosy home with incredible views of Loch Ness and Katherine was a wonderful host who made sure the home was nice and warm when we arrived, and had books and games for us to enjoy. Just an incredible place to stay when visiting the Highlands.

Libertus Lodge. A secluded Cabin in Gorthleck.

ChristineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Al built this fabulous lodge himself, it is simply stunning inside with glorious views of the countryside from the terrace, it is a tranquil and beautiful location. So quiet and peaceful, truly relaxing, very comfortable bed and stylish interior, spotlessly clean. Al was very helpful with his knowledge of the area and made us feel very welcome indeed, nothing was too much trouble. Spotting the deer and red kites along with a hare and lots of birds was great fun. Highly recommend, this is a very special place.

Romantic Tinyhouse in the Forest

We just absolutely loved our stay! Jess, Alan and baby River were all lovely and we felt right at home on their beautiful homestead. Watching the ducks, sheep and birds wander around was just so lovely and it was wonderful to have a little escape in nature. It’s also amazing how deceptively close this is to Inverness - just about 15 minutes from seclusion and nature to a wonderful town worth spending hours exploring. Jess also provided us fantastic recommendations and we’re so happy we took her advice. This was such a fabulous way to end our time in Scotland!
