Historic "Speak Easy" Cottage (circa 1923)

Vintage beach cottage w/ modern-day conveniences (central heat & A/C), Apple TV, DVD, vintage appliances, incl. dishwasher) on the quiet-end of Balboa Island; tree-lined street, steps to beaches on South Bayfront; 2 blocks to Balboa Island ferry and Island Market. Cottage was built in 1923 and served as a "Speak Easy" (a bar during the prohibition era ) with many famous actors, musicians, singers patronizing the site (John Wayne, James Cagney & Humphrey Bogart) just to name a few.

Beach Getaway

Located just one block from the surf and sand. One block from the Newport Beach Pier and Marina Park, restaurants, and entertainment. Recently remodeled with a new kitchen, appliances, stone bathroom, hardwood floors, new tempur-pedic California king bed and private Washer/Dryer. We also have beach chairs, big beach towels, beach umbrella and boogie boards for you to enjoy. There is no smoking inside or outside of the property. We prefer 7 day bookings; Saturday to Saturday.

Spend warm nights BBQing at the house or walk over to Lido Marina Village to enjoy the finest waterfront eateries in town.

Location, location, location! Situated across from the Newport Beach Pier and bay, this charming studio is perfect for good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Besides the beach, it is walking distance to Marina Park, restaurants, and bike rentals. Please note that this is a studio without a kitchen. There is a microwave and small fridge. The bathroom is a full sized bathroom with bath tube & shower.
