We had a fantastic weekend getaway, and loved that we could bring the pups with us! The hot tub and pizza oven were amazing, and the outdoor set up was beyond what we anticipated- games and multiple seating areas! We will definitely be going back!

This is a great family getaway resort type accommodation The kayaks and hot tub and sauna are in great condition The house clean and very well stocked either all you need Make sure to rinse your dishes before putting them in the dishwasher Melissa was quick to respond with any questions We will hope to get Melissa’s place next year for our annual get together

Sanja is an incredible host! Very friendly and responds super fast. The cabin was perfectly cozy and included great amenities. The hot tub was large and very nice for a chilly night. Definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was communicative and made check-in super easy. The neighbourhood was quiet, and we felt right at home during our visit. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Thanks for a great stay. We had everything we needed in the house with wonderful access to a lovely sandy beach. We enjoyed the use of the paddle boards to explore the expansive shoreline. The location is near some walking trails in the woods which our dog really enjoyed. The cottage was adjacent a public beach which was busy on the weekends, however nice and siren on the weekdays to sit and watch the sunrise. We would certainly recommend and stay again.

This was the perfect "home away from home" for the holidays! We stayed at Brad's for a few days over Christmas to be closer to family. The check-in/out process was simple. The communication and response time with Brad was great. This modern and very clean cottage had everything we needed. The kitchen was impressive and well stocked with appliances/dishes. It was perfect for cooking Christmas dinner! We were most appreciative that our furr babies were welcome too. If you are looking for a tranquil, cozy spot with beautiful surroundings then this place ticks off the boxes.

My friends and I had an incredible stay at this Airbnb. We were grateful to the hosts for providing us with so much to do, from the pool table to the hot tub, kayaks, fire pit and a deck with a bbq. One of the most memorable moments for me was watching the views from the dock at sunrise and sunset, it’s beautiful and I encourage anyone reading this to take the time to do the same. Very convenient location as well, 15 minute drive away from the local grocery store and anything else you need in town. I want to thank the host for a great stay and for allowing us to use your family cottage. If we’re in the area again we will definitely return!

We just got back from a lovely stay at the cottage on Spectacle Lake, and even though the weather wasn’t on our side, we truly had a great time. The rain kept us mostly indoors, but the cozy fireplace turned out to be a blessing we spent our time just relaxing, listening to the rain, and soaking in the peaceful vibe. The cottage itself is tucked away in such a private, serene spot. Waking up to the sound of birds and looking out over the calm water from every window was incredibly calming. Everything was so clean and well cared for. Waking up to birdsong and calm water views from every window was such a treat. I was thrilled to finally spot a few beaver lodges in the Madawaska Valley — a small dream come true! The cottage was clean, the docks looked great, and having fresh drinking water available was such a thoughtful and sustainable touch. We didn’t get the clear skies we hoped for to stargaze, but that just gives us a reason to come back and we definitely will.

I spent a weekend at Talia's place with my dogs to get away while my husband was on a work trip. The cottage is extremely clean and comfortable, very spacious with wonderful outdoor and water access and amenities. Although it was just me and my dogs, I could picture having a blast with friends and family, as there were many games and activity options in and around the house. Will go back for sure!

We had a great stay at Kate’s place. It’s a very rustic house on Friaser Lake. Amazing views of the lake from the dining and living windows. Nice sized patio and deck out onto the lake. Beds were comfortable. Having a dishwasher is a plus on vacation. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it if you want an awesome lakeside experience. Fire pit by the water is magical at night. They were great communicators and the price was great. Thanks again!

We had a wonderful stay at your Airbnb! My partner, our two dogs, and two friends joined us for the week, and the place was everything we hoped for—cozy, homey, and incredibly peaceful. The view of the lake was absolutely beautiful and added to the relaxing atmosphere. The space was perfect for two couples and our dogs. It’s truly a pet-friendly spot, with direct access to a fenced area where our dogs could play safely and freely. They especially loved the easy access to the lake—it was a highlight for them (and us)! Barry was a great host—welcoming, responsive, and made sure everything was just right for our stay. This is the perfect place for anyone looking to enjoy nature and take a break from the city. We’ll definitely be recommending it to friends and would love to return in the future. We stayed over Easter weekend and enjoyed the peace and coziness of the cabin. It’s like a warm hug! We enjoyed some hiking at the nearby rapids and the provincial park close by. It’s a wonderful place to relax in any season and although there is another rentable cabin just in front, we felt secluded and had our own fire pit and bbq etc. the only thing we found to be missing was some shower products which would be a nice touch.

The cottage was immaculately clean (and I'm fussy !). Well organized, tastefully decorated with a beautiful view of the lake.... The sound of the waves lapping up on the beach while sleeping is really lovely! Would love to go back.

It’s always more comfortable staying in an Airbnb vs a hotel and Yvonne and Rob’s place was the most comfortable my family has ever been. For the 5 of us plus dog, a 2 night stay in a desirable location, we just wish we could have stayed longer. All the amenities you can think of and then some - including items for the beach which was right out front ! When AirBnB indicated it was a rare find - it really was a rare find and I suggest not waiting to book when you find it available. We will be back !

We stayed at Julie’s for the May long weekend. And we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was quaint, but modern and meticulously clean. And it had everything you could need, dry firewood both inside and outside, seating around a fire pit, we used the beautiful wood burning stove when the weather turned chilly. And the kayak down the river is incredibly quiet and tranquil .., just the sounds of wildlife. A gem of a spot. It was a steep drop from the stairs to the river, so not easy to get the boats in and out if you are not in great shape. We had no issues, but might be a problem if you are elderly. I would highly recommend this cottage if you are looking for a peaceful getaway. There are trails to hike around too and the grocery store and other amenities are close enough. If you have kids, the sodalite mine is perfect for rock hounding enthusiasts! We found so many treasures.

Slice of paradise. Really enjoyed our stay at Le Monarque. Myself and my husband (in our 30’s) and our dog were looking for a peaceful, private escape from city life. The rental was just as described and we had a wonderful time. Would recommend for any travellers looking to get a taste of the outdoors.

Very responsive host , friendly and cooperative. Was there for New years and it was amazing ! Few things were missing at check in , communicated and was able to bring them next morning !

This was our 3rd time staying at Jennifer and Tom's beautiful cottage. It is a great location for day trips to Ottawa yet secluded enough to just relax. Fantastic hosts and lots of personal touches. Highly recommend.

We had the best weekend! The house is perfect. Fully equipped with everything you could need and decorated so lovely- I can’t think of anything I’d want different. The location is idyllic- peaceful, beautiful, yet very convenient to get to lovely local trails. Peter was incredibly friendly and quick to respond. I hope we get an opportunity to return as we would 100% recommend it!

The cottage was absolutely beautiful! Lots of private space and gorgeous views. The water was nice and Sandy, not weedy or rocky - perfect. Kim always responded super quickly and made all the instructions super clear. We were celebrating a birthday and they left some bday cupcakes and a sweet note along with it - lovely touch. Would recommend 10/10
