In the heart of the Normandy countryside, just 7 kilometers from the landing beaches, this charming cottage can accommodate up to 8 people in an old farmhouse dating from 1618, completely renovated with care. Surrounded by grasslands, the house offers a peaceful and authentic setting. Inside, modern comfort blends with the character of the stone. The cottage has a 15-meter indoor swimming pool, heated to 29 degrees year-round, for moments of relaxation in any season.

Maison de l'étang - quiet cottage in the countryside

Stay at the Maison de l'Étang, a gite in a peaceful waterfront setting overlooking the Closerie du Vivier pond. The house has a living room with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge. Upstairs is a spacious bedroom with a double bed and a sofa. The bathroom has a double sink, a shower, and a toilet. The mezzanine accommodates 3 people in single beds. The Maison de l'Étang has its own terrace. The pool is shared with the other vacation rental.

Our accommodation (13 people max) is close to Caen (25 minutes) and the sea in a very beautiful countryside of the pre-bocage in Normandy. Easy access by car, train and airport. You will love our place because of its beauty, countryside, rest, horses (horseback riding possible), massages and indoor heated pool. Ideal for families of 4–10 people. The 4th bedroom is a very large hallway, so I very often put an extra bedroom in the annex for more comfort.

A walk in its 4 Ha park where goats, sheep, fallow deer, chickens, rabbits, swans, geese and ducks will thrive will delight young and old. Relaxation can continue at the chateau swimming pool and on the beach, an 8-minute walk away.

Quiet (street with little traffic) 5 km from Courseulles, it is an ideal destination both to meet with family and to visit the landing beaches.
