Blacksmith's workshop

In ancient times, the house was a blacksmith's workshop with his small adjacent home. Recently renovated in a contemporary style, it has become a two-story residence of about 80 square meters. On the ground floor is the living area with the dining table, kitchen, bathroom and a wine pantry, reached by a wooden staircase with staggered steps. A second black iron staircase leads to the intermediate mezzanine where the study is organized. The balustrade becomes the worktop and overlooks the double height. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom. The floors are in resin-coated concrete and part with tiles in recycled cement paste; the upper floor is finished with parquet. Particularly unique are the vintage furnishings, the lighting of the rooms and the contemporary art paintings by a young Sicilian artist-designer. The house is equipped with winter and summer air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV and dishwasher. A few kilometers away is the beach of Porto Palo (Blue Flag) with the possibility of boat trips, ultralight flights and bike rentals. Nearby, less than a 25-minute drive, you can play golf at the beautiful Golf Verdura Resort. The most important archaeological sites of Sicily are easily reachable: Selinunte (15 minutes), Cave di Cusa (25 minutes), Segesta (45 minutes), Eraclea Minoa (40 minutes) and Agrigento and "Scala dei Turchi" (50 minutes) To visit: the city of Sciacca, Sambuca di Sicilia (Borgo più bello d'Italia 2016), the Literary Park of Tomasi di Lampedusa in Santa Margherita (15 minutes), the "Cretto di Burri" in Gibellina (30 minutes), the Stagnone di Marsala (Mothia), the Saline and the city of Trapani, Erice (all about 60 minutes by car) The city is well connected to Palermo's Falcone Borsellino and Trapani Birgi airports, both within an hour's drive.

This lovely dome shaped bungalow is in the heart of Maragani, one of the most breathtaking beaches in Sciacca. The bungalow itself is located in the gated community of Residence Oasi. It is set back off the main road that leads to the beach of which is only about 200 meters away. There are about 40 bungalows in total, each having its own private property and gated entrance making it very private and secluded. Although we are in a rural area wi-fi and cell phone reception is available.

Salvatore is one of the best hosts I've ever had! Very sensitive and friendly person. At check-in, we were very tired from our day of travel, he noticed this immediately and let us have our room. I thought that was great and very thoughtful! The apartment is as in the pictures, relaxed neighborhood and very close to Sciacca. You can find everything you need there. Salvatore's secret tips and personally created travel guide for the area was very helpful! The location, the surroundings, the apartment and the host are highly recommended! Beautiful! Serafina is a wonderful host. The apartment is lovely and clean. It’s near enough to town that you can be in centro in a few minutes by car, but removed enough for a peaceful retreat. We had quick access by roadway to Spiaggia Capo San Marco, a breathtakingly beautiful nearby beach. Serafina greeted us with a gift basket and made us feel incredibly welcome after a long drive. When we checked out she brought our daughter an Easter basket of goodies and gave us a bottle of spumanti. I wish we could’ve stayed longer, she just made us feel so welcome. Also she was very patient about my poor Italian! I look forward to returning someday.

We (my family and friends' family) had a fantastic month at Gianleo's place. It's just by the beach (and there is a beautiful walk down if you take the right path, as I assume some of the previous guests, according to the reviews, didn't take). It's just a 15-20 min to the city center walking by the beach or along the road. It's a calm area with lovely neighbors. Full equipped kitchen, big bathrooms and nothing to complain at. Gianleo was very friendly, answered quickly and helped us out when needed. We're also very thankful for the problem-solving when we accidentally broke a table. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a holiday home in Sciacca!

Debora's place is amazing! 5 minutes walk to local beaches and about 10-15 minutes walk from town. there is plenty to do and supermarket and great restaurants close by. The area has a rich history and there is plenty of attractions locally and in driving distance. Debora has a long list of fantastic recommendations and was very responsive and helpful with all our questions.

Lovely stay to relax and explore Sciacca and Agrigento. Would definitely recommend the Valley of the Temples if you can make it. The property is in a stunning location with great views and is incredibly private. The pool was a delight during the warm days and at night you could see many stars in the sky. We loved staying here.

We can’t say enough good things about Francesco and Susi and their stunning property. It was even better in person and the hosts are truly special people.
