Exceptional river views

n the heart of the Loire Valley, along the Thouet River: a 700 square foot converted barn (newly renovated) with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The house is ideally-situated in the heart of the Anjou wine region, a few miles from Saumur (well-known for it's castle and the French National Horse-Riding School, ''Le Cadre Noir'', wine growers, and troglodytes sites). Also nearby: important castles in Angers, Chinon, Montreuil-Bellay, Brézé, as well as Europe's largest monastic center, the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, which features an excellent music and cultural program. Other worthwhile day trips include the exquisite Loire Valley castles, such as: Chambord, Blois, Cheverny, Azay le Rideau, etc. The house, which is about 187 miles from Paris (300 km), or about 2 hours by TGV, can accomodate two couples with children (sleeps six altogether). The appartement includes : an entrance hall, a large sitting and dining room with a small equiped kitchen, one bedroom, a bathroom, and a small bedroom on a mezzanine level.

Le Vauroux, a charming cottage

Within a quiet property surrounded by water, I offer you an independent 47 m² single-storey cottage. It has all the comforts necessary for a relaxing stay: living room with fully equipped open kitchen, 1 bedroom, shower room and separate toilet. Guests will enjoy an outdoor area with terrace and garden furniture with free access to the wooded grounds. You will be at the crossroads of various tourist activities (30 minutes from the banks of the Loire, 1 hour from the Futuroscope, 1 hour from the Puy du Fou)

Located in the Anjou wine region, this rustic 100m2 cottage equipped with all modern amenities is part of an old winegrowers property called 'Closerie Les Roches' that includes two other cottages. We are close to charming villages and towns such as Montreuil-Bellay and Saumur. Visit local wineries, explore famous Loire valley castles, visit the award-winning Doué-la-Fontaine zoo or just stroll among the vines right outside the property. We also offer dinner for our guests twice a week.

Le Ruault: Poplar House (Loire Valley)

Le Ruault is close to the chateaux of the Loire valley and plenty of excellent vineyards. A tranquil space in which to relax and breathe, great for couples, families and big groups (when rented with Orchard Cottage). Poplar House sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms (1 double bedroom; the other three can all be set up as a large double or two singles). There are 7 acres (2.5 hectares) of grounds to relax in, including an outdoor pool (shared with Orchard Cottage and heated mid-May to mid-September).

As a couple, with family or friends, escape to Anjou and enjoy a typical and unique experience by renting this troglo in the heart of Doué-la-Fontaine, close to shops, restaurants and tourist sites! Explore the Bioparc (the only troglo zoo in the world, no less), the village of Louresse-Rochemenier, the Cadre-Noir, not to mention the unforgettable Loire and its Châteaux and many other sights. Taste and savor the local specialties, good places are waiting for you.

Within the Domaine de l'Enchantoir, our organic vineyard, stay in our two adjacent cottages to form a large reception area for 10 people. Completely renovated, these apartments are composed of a total of 5 bedrooms. All bedrooms come equipped with air conditioning. Outdoor table, pool table and reading room for relaxation. Possibility to rent a large reception room for communal meals. Bed linen, towels, soaps, shower gel and shampoo included.

Enjoy the sweet atmosphere of our family home. Surrounded by a park with species introduced before 1800, our 15th and 18th century property with large volumes has been renovated for you. Located in the heart of the Loire Valley castles, 3 km from the historic city of Montreuil Bellay, You can meet there with family or friends to discover the tourist riches of our region (Doué Zoo, Fontevraud, Saumur, vineyards, center park...)

Semi-troglodyte gîte for 5 people near Saumur and Doué

You'll love my place because of the location and the ambiance. It is an old house made of tuffeau stone located in the heart of a troglodyte courtyard. The gite has a fully equipped kitchen and 2 air-conditioned bedrooms upstairs. It also has an outdoor courtyard with a terrace (barbecue, garden furniture). My place is good for couples, solo travelers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends.
