Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Luqa

There is something magical about staying in the heart of Mdina!! And despite the impracticalities, we’d happily do it again!! This place is a real unique find!!!! We loved being able to walk around after the tourists had left and enjoy the magic of the place. It’s really ‘money can’t buy’ stuff. The property is exactly as described - not for you if you want luxury and all the modern conveniences - it’s quirky and a bit of an odd layout. It can also be a bit of a challenge with parking/traffic - we struggled one day and can’t imagine what it might be like in the height of summer. Would highly recommend coming up the back way to Greek’s Gate via Triq l-Għarreqin. I would say from 7am - 9pm it can be quite loud, but we were out and about so didn’t bother us. It may sound like we’re being negative, but we’re not… we just think this property deserves guests who appreciate it for what it is and don’t expect it to be something else. Living at Paddy’s charming studio flat is a really great experience, and Warren is an amazing host. We felt right at home, and we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable as well as special. Il-Hamrun is not exactly a typical tourist area, what you get instead is an inside into local Maltese life. The restaurants, the bars, the local corner shops, wherever we went we met extremely friendly people, and they remembered us when we came back. And yet, there are many bus routes nearby, going to all the touri-hotspots when you choose to do so. Coming back ‘home’ to Paddy’s in the evening felt like coming to an oasis, we spent a lot of time outside in the patio area. If there was anything wrong, then it was the mosquitoes, be prepared :) Warren provided us with further valuable insider tips (thank you, Warren!!).

Lovely place to stay and the pool was a great addition to our stay. Throughly enjoyed our time here and is a lovely place to stay. Within walking distance of some really nice restaurants and not a far walk into Valletta at all.

Perfect place to stay when visiting Rabat and Mdina. The location was perfect and the area felt really safe and peaceful. The photographs of this listing don’t do it justice and the sunlight hits the skylights beautifully. Air con really easy to use and was very effective.

Dit was een prachtige woning in Malta. Heel dicht bij het vliegveld en het huis is zeer ruim. Alles was perfect en Daniela reageerde altijd heel snel en als er iets was, was ze er voor ons. Aanrader!!

Malta ist immer einen Besuch Wert, aber Gozo hat die Position der ruhigen und grünen Seite der Inseln. Und inmitten des Herzens von Gozo in Viktoria befindet sich in einer ruhigen, zentralen Seitenstrasse im Stile eines 'house of character' das Apartment von Rowen. Wer dort einkehrt, wohnt nicht nur zur Miete, sondern lebt dort die Zeit, die er dort verbringt: grüßende Nachbarn, alle Annehmlichkeiten des täglichen Lebens sind in der Umgebung wie Restaurants, Eisdiele, Supermarkt (beste Austern!!), und vom Zentrum kommt man an jeden Punkt der Insel in weniger als 20 Minuten. Rowan ist ein perfekter Gastgeber, das Apartment ist 1A gepflegt, es fehlt an nichts incl. allem nötigen Beiwerk zum kochen wie Öl, Salz und Pfeffer. Das mag eine Kleinigkeit sein, aber es ist immer sehr unangenehm, wenn man diese Dinge erst selber für ein paar Tage einkaufen muss. Mein Tip: eine klare Empfehlung, einfach ausprobieren!

Gianluca was very responsive and answered all my queries. I felt very comfortable dealing with him. Allowed an earlier check in and a later checkout . I would highly recommend this place !

Dom ma niesamowity klimat, szczególnie wrażenie robi taras, okna i basen. Środek wygląda lepiej niż na zdjęciach. Gospodarz był elastyczny co do godzin zameldowania i wymeldowania co było ogromnym plusem.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 14 Männern bei einem Junggesellenenabschied in der Villa. Es hat wirklich alles sehr gut geklappt. Die Aussicht ist atemberaubend! Zwei kleine Supermärkte ca. 2 min Fußweg die das Nötigste auf jeden Fall vor Ort haben. Eine 5 min Uber Fahrt brachte uns zum nächsten größeren Supermarkt, zu Fuß ca. 15 min. Zum Strand gelangt man in ca. 5 min zu Fuß, in die nächstgelegene, größere Stadt mit Restaurants sind es 15 min. Die Kommunikation war stets hervorragend, ein kleine Manko war lediglich, dass die Kurtaxe und die Gebühr für die Nutzung der Klimaanlage in bar bezahlt werden mussten. Wir hatten aber zum Glück noch etwas Bargeld da. Was ich auf gar keinen Fall bestätigen kann sind die vielen Kakerlaken oder die Nachbarn die sich beschweren. Wenn man darauf achtet, die Türen und Fenster nach sich zu schließen und mit der Lautstärke nicht übertreibt, hat man hier auch keine Probleme. Wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen sowie Malta an sich!

Ce sont des hôtes très gentils et accueillants. Toujours avec le sourire dès que nous les voyons et très réactifs. Le logement était bien équipé et très spacieux. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 3 mois. Je recommande fortement!

We had the best time staying here during our first-ever visit to Malta! The local area is so vibrant and buzzing and Valletta is only a 20-minute walk or so down the road! The apartment itself (balcony and outdoor terrace downstaires included) are STUNNING and the decor is some of the best we've seen in an AirBnB! Thomas' recommendations were spot on and he was kind enough to give us a late check-out as we had a very late fly the day we were leaving. Honestly 10/10, would love to come back and stay here again! Thank you!

As coming to Malta for the first time I was worried a bit. Location turn out out to be a perfect spot, close to centre but away from traffic and noise yet close by bus stop. Accommodation was neat and clean. The hosts were v nice, friendly and really helpful with information and advices. We enjoyed our stay and hopefully will come back. Big thank you from us.

Staying at this penthouse in Malta was such a treat! The space was even more beautiful than the photos — bright, spacious, and with incredible views. It had everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location was fantastic for exploring the island, and the host was responsive and thoughtful throughout. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Malta!

Frank was a very genuine and friendly Maltese local. A true gentleman. He was so informative about his lovely island. We just wish we had more time than the 2 days that we had there.

Such a great find, we loved the pool and hot tub! Rooms were clean and we pretty much had everything we needed. Location perfect for what we wanted and was easy to get about with Bolt. Local area not the prettiest but good selection of restaurants/bars and we had a an amazing time and can highly recommended

The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, plus some lovely extras like fresh coffee and an ironing board. The washing machine’s 15-minute cycle was especially handy for a quick turnaround of clothes. The views from the apartment were extraordinary, both during the day and at night. We didn’t use any of the common areas of the apartment block and wouldn’t have used the pool, so we can’t comment on those. The apartment was ideal for our holiday. We had a car and spent our 10-day stay exploring Gozo and Malta with ease. We would happily stay again if the mattress is replaced—it was very, very uncomfortable. Aside from that it was a great stay. Thank you!

Lewis was amazing, considerate and attentive. Communication was immaculate and super supportive he’s the best Airbnb host I have had, the place was just as amazing as the apartment itself, definitely worth the price and much more.

Lovely, spacious apartment that was exactly as described and looked just like the photos. Really well located too, with a supermarket immediately next door and lots of shops, bars and restaurants within a short walk. If you’re up for a longer walk you can even get to Sliema within 15 minutes. Really easy to jump a taxi to Valletta and anywhere else on the island too, or there’s a bus stop right outside the supermarket. Jane was a super host, letting us check-in early and responding within seconds to rescue us when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the building!

Spacious and modern apartment, within walking distance to all the things to do and see in Valletta. There are a few steps to navigate as you enter the apartment but well communicated in the listing. Really enjoyed the convenience, we stayed for only a short trip but there was a washer included which is perfect for longer trips. Highly recommended!

Die Unterkunft war absolut top! Alles war super sauber und bestens ausgestattet – es gab sogar einen Trockner und eine PlayStation. Das absolute Highlight war die private Dachterrasse mit Pool, Jacuzzi und Außendusche – ein echter Traum! Besonders beeindruckend war, wie viel Privatsphäre man dort hatte, obwohl man mitten im Geschehen ist. Svetlana und Daniel waren großartige Gastgeber – super freundlich, immer erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen und kann die Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen!
