Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Mad River

I have been booking a ski trip with my friends for 10 years now, everyone said this was by far the best house we’ve stayed at and I agree! Location, comfort, and price were all perfect! We will absolutely be back!

That was a peaceful vacation with my family. First and foremost, the house was spotless clean. There were plenty of toys for my six-year-old niece to enjoy. Kevin had a keen eye for detail, and we had everything guests needed for a comfortable stay. The lake was also a highlight of the trip. We went canoeing, and it was a truly enjoyable experience in that picturesque setting. I hope we can return soon.

Samantha and Chris's place was a perfect spot for a Smugglers Notch getaway! it's a beautiful home, perfect for a family of 4. Even in cold temperatures( at -5F and lower) with lots of snow, the place was cozy warm with the wood burning furnace (clean and devoid of smoke) as well a propane heater downstairs. Literally 2 turns from the slopes of a great family ski mountain! But the views and location of the property were amazing for those wanting to do other things than ski. Samantha was responsive and an excellent communicator. I have to throw in that everything in their kitchen was in excellent condition (every appliance) including sharp functional chef knives (an uncommon phenomenon for a renter) Thank you Samantha and Chris! Sharing your home with us was a touch- stone of great new family memories!

AMAZING home in the woods of Greensboro Bend. Everything is brand new, and watching the sun set over the hills (before making a fire in the fire pit, of course) is the absolute best way to end a day of exploring the North East Kingdom. Our kids loved the toys, play area, and exploring the expansive property. The grownups loved the location (6 minutes to the beach at Caspian Lake, 20 minutes to Hill Farmstead, perfect for long runs on the rail trail). This will be a rental long remembered by our family.

Look no further if you're traveling with toddlers—this Airbnb is a dream for families! The location is perfect: tucked just outside of Stowe, it offers peaceful country vibes, a spacious backyard, and stunning mountain views from every window—all while being just a short drive from town. What really sets this home apart is how toddler-friendly it is. It's a BabyQuip heaven—stocked with everything from a high chair and nugget couch (iykyk!), to Fisher Price Little People toys, coloring supplies, a train set, games, and more. Our toddler had a blast and was perfectly content spending evenings at the house, thanks to the endless entertainment options. The host went above and beyond—the home was spotless, and the kitchen was fully equipped with all the essentials. Highly recommend for any family looking for a relaxing, kid-friendly escape in Vermont!

Great stay at Jen’s beautiful chalet. Easy to communicate with and well equipped with many kitchen supplies and all the needed towels, linens, hairdryers, and a thoughtful welcome package. Only about 15 mins from the mountain and 10 mins to town. Thanks!

We had a lovely stay! The place was clean,cosy, and well stocked. With Everything we needed. The HotTub and Sauna were a nice bonus. Perfect for relaxing after a long day. We would definitely stay here again. Bill and Chris O’Brien

Home away from home! Susan was a fantastic host. She was very responsive and communicated quickly. This home was perfect for our group of 6 and it was extremely cozy! This was our first time in Vermont and it definitely exceeded all of our expectations. If you looking for a pleasant place to stay with amazing views, look no further than this adorable Airbnb! We skied in Stowe, toured the Ben and Jerry’s ice cream factory down the road and enjoyed some live music at the ZenBarn. I would highly recommend this property! We hope to visit again soon :)

I highly recommend staying here. Such a beautiful area. JP was a great host and extremely responsive. The house was very comfortable. Beautiful full windows to take in the view. Spent a lot of time outdoors on the deck. The trails on Trapp Family are easily accessible out the back of the Airbnb. Take the Luce trail to go directly to the lodge/outdoor center. Or take a left off of the Luce Trail to get to the coffee house and the brewery. We will be back.

This Villa at Trapp Family Lodge is large and comfortable. It fullfills all the basics for a winter cross-country ski vacation and not far from Mount Mansfield for downhill skiing, and is as described. The General facility and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Fortunately we had the good fortune to have had very good weather - a bit on the cool side, but really good snow and the whole week the ski conditions were very good. A great place to gather.

As described, a very private master suite off a beautiful Trapp Lodge Villa, where you get the access to the resort property and Stowe while having your own private space away with amenities not in a hotel room like a fireplace, dining table, and full master bath. Bonus room downstairs with a second bathroom also doubles the size of the living space. JP was super accommodating, checking in / out was seamless and no hassle. We love visiting Stowe and usually stay at the Trapp Lodge itself, and this was an awesome new experience for us.

Pip and Dave are excellent hosts! Commutation is quick and very helpful. Their place is even better than expected and super clean. Looking to explore Stowe, this is a great place to stay.

Very nice home with great amenities. Great location to and from everything. Nicely distributed with space for everyone. Beds were comfortable and the home has plenty of towels etc. Overall it was a great place for weekend or longer. Maria was easy to communicate with and there were no issues.

My husband and I had an incredible time at the Villa! It was clean, instructions were always timely and clear. The house itself was beautifully decorated, and the pool and hot tub were well maintained. The surrounding forest was quiet and perfect for strolls. Lot's of privacy from neighbors and easily accessible from the main road. We also loved the welcome gifts 🎁 😊 I would absolutely stay here again. Be aware that there are wasps and bees, so if anyone in the party is allergic, they should be alert.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay. Private, peaceful, amazing set up, plenty to do there and even more to do in the surrounding towns. If you love adventure then this is 100% a place for you!!

We had a wonderful vacation. The cabin is a true gem in the North East Kingdom. Upon entering the house, fresh flowers decorated the rooms and we found a basket of snacks for us and our dog. Leslie and Matt’s passion for decorating made the house cozy and inviting. The grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed walking through the garden, relaxing on the deck, and walking to the river. The food shopping service Leslie and Matt offer is an added bonus. The cabin is also in a perfect location. There are many great hikes and restaurants close by. The North East Kingdom truly delivered with its scenic woods, spectacular summit views, and gorgeous waterfalls. Plus every meal was amazing. Thank you for your hospitality and making our vacation this year a memorable one! You both were responsive, friendly, and such a help before and during our stay. This vacation was exactly what we hoped for: a relaxing retreat among the trees. I wish we lived closer because I’d be back every year.

We loved our getaway in the mountains at this beautiful cabin! The location was secluded and peaceful yet the Stowe center was just a few miles away. The only thing we wished was different was the master bedroom curtains. They didn’t fully cover the floor to ceiling windows so the morning light flooded in at 5:30 am. But overall we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!

We stayed at Jennifer's cabin for our annual ski trip. The location is right next to Sugarbush and close to Mad River Glen, which meant we could get right on the slopes in the morning. The cabin was clean and cozy, with all the amenities you would want in a ski cabin. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after coming off the hill. Also, there were plenty of local restaurants to eat at close by. We would definitely stay here again!

I booked a last minute escape from the city and Rob’s mountain getaway was exactly what I needed. The home was both welcoming & comforting with enough blankets to keep me & our furry one warm and cozy. The stocked coffee bar & equipped kitchen made the mornings a breeze. Tucked away in the peaceful mountains of Vermont, stargazing takes on a whole new meaning while in the amazing hot-tub Rob has on the property. The weather was too variable for us to utilize the lovely fire pit but that’s what the winter time is for. Still peaceful to sit up in the ski chairs and enjoy the scenery. We even saw a hummingbird! All in all, Rob is an amazing host with a home filled with so much character and charm. The local restaurant recommendations were all a hit! It’s a quick 30-40 minute drive to Burlington We even extended an extra day because we enjoyed our time so much and Rob was quick to reply and enthusiastic in all communications. 10/10 will stay again and highly recommend!

Stunning natural surroundings, the cabin is nestled in valley by a brook, among the mountains, near trails, farms, and skiing. Lisa had some really nice touches and the house is well maintained, clean, and fun.

Such a beautiful and comfortable place for our group to stay at. The beds were super comfortable, it was very relaxing. We spent time enjoying the hot tub and fire pit as well. Came in for a wedding at the Mountaintop Resort, with that being a 6 minute drive, we had nothing to worry about with time. There is a cute general store a couple mins up the road and Rutland isn't far for bigger needs. Nicole was very proactive on giving us all the instructions we needed to check in and plenty of recommendations for the area. There are little gems in the house that were hidden in plain site which added to the charm. Overall, this was a fantastic experience and I absolutely would stay at their property again!!
