We enjoyed our stay here. The place is spacious with luxurious, cosy carpet. So great to find a place with 2 separate bedrooms, each with a queen bed. It is located handy to the centre of town but in a quiet street. The host was very helpful and responded quickly to communications.

Perfect location - quiet with a lovely view across the lake to the town centre. Our stay was only for two night's and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. Didn't have the opportunity to meet Mel in person, but great communicator with messages. Will definitely recommend this ABnB to others and will definitely use again ourselves. Thank you Mel for a perfect stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Jenny’s place! She was incredibly welcoming and friendly, which made us feel right at home. The space was cozy, comfortable, and offered breathtaking views. There were plenty of breakfast options available, and Jenny even left us some delicious treats and fresh fruit—such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommended!

Peter and Angela were friendly host and their cats were lovely. A peaceful place! The cozy flat has everything you need and cooking facilities. Not much shower pressure. Would stay again!

Perfect stop for an overnighter after a long drive. Just off the main highway so conveniently located but quiet you don’t hear anything Would definitely recommend, warm private and well equiped little space

Would highly recommend staying here! Alana gave clear and prompt communications and check in was easy as was check out. The house was super clean, roomy and a relaxing space to be in. Comfy beds, nice linen and towels and the house was well kitted out with everything you would need including the bonus of breakfast cereals, eggs, milk, fruit and butter. For us we were travelling with a toddler and a baby and Alana had gone to the effort of setting up the house with baby bath, changing station and an array of toys and books for the toddler - greatly appreciated and made travelling with kids that much easier! The toddler also enjoyed the walk just over the road to the great playground. Will stay here again if needing to visit the area in the future.

It’s a beautiful house overlooking the apple orchards. Glenda’s prepared us brownies, fruits and chips before hand, which is very sweet gesture. It’s say a studio but the kitchen is separated from the bedroom. The appliances felt luxurious. The bed is very comfy, we actually overslept. The tv is big facing the sofa but you can turn it toward your bed. The laundry room is in a separate room right beside it. Definitely looking forward staying there again!

What amazing hosts and a fantastic place to stay. One of my favourite places to stay within Airbnb. Pristine, spacious, light and bright. Such a cleverly designed space with everything you could have wanted, and a good continental breakfast with nespresso thrown in. We were looking for a place to stay overnight after attending a family funeral in Napier, and finding an Airbnb close to the highway south of Napier isn't easy. So we were delighted to find The Phoenix on Millar in the village of Otane. Not only is it conveniently situated but is a cosy haven on a cold wet night. Good heating and a warm, comfortable bed. It also has a well equipped kitchen, and under cover parking is a bonus. We did have a little trouble finding the gate in the dark but that was a very minor problem. I'm sure that Carolina's place would be equally delightful in the summer especially with the tiny leafy courtyard off the bedroom just beckoning for a morning coffee or quiet read . would definitely recommend 🙂

Ann was so kind and accepted my last minute booking request, after I decided to hike out a day early from the Tongariro Northern Circuit due to bad weather. It was just the cozy place I needed - and oh did I sleep well! It was so nice and quiet. I would describe Ann's as a "peaceful retreat", and would encourage you to stay a few nights! Ann and her daughter warmly welcomed me, took the time to show me around, and we're just lovely to chat to. The little cottage was just the right size, private, and in the most gorgeous setting. I was kindly offered a late check out, and had the weather not been so sunny I would have happily stayed there all day! Some people are meant to host - Ann is one of those people 😊 I look forward to coming back someday in the future!

Considerate and kind host, appreciated the little things available on arrival such as tea, coffee, sugar, sachet drinks & milk. Lovely amenities that provided everything we needed for our stay. Will recommend to family & friends and will be our first choice of accommodation when passing through Taupo again.

Fantastic stay. The hosts went above and beyond with hospitality. The home was squeaky clean and very well appointed.
