Silvio is gracious and friendly and the garden is beautiful. He left us fresh eggs one morning and we loved the hot tub. Definitely recommend Silvio’s place.

Antonio's house is located in the countryside, exactly what we were looking for to rest. The house is comfortable and spacious. The pool is a serious plus, the whole family enjoyed swimming after visits and activities in the Douro Valley or Porto. Antonio is very welcoming and accommodating. We loved discovering this beautiful part of Portugal. Thanks for everything;-)

We had an amazing stay here, a peaceful retreat from our jobs in the middle of the nature. Great amenities with the pool & pool table, table tennis and BBQ. Will definitely go here again one day

impeccable and luxurious accommodation in a heavenly garden. Everything was conducive to getting away.

We stayed at Pedro's house for ten days with our two sons, 8 and 10 years old. It was very nice there, the children could splash in the pool, we cooked a lot, grilled and read the terrace with hammock and the huge fantastic garden. With the canoe you could go directly from the garden to the river. Nazarè, who took care of the garden every day, told us a lot about the area and gifted us with lemons and vegetables from her own garden. We made excursions through the vineyards and also day trips to Porto and Amarante. Thank you Pedro and Nazarè for the beautiful and relaxing time!

We spent almost 10 days on this place close to big cities 40 min from porto and 10 min from penafiel where there is absolutely everything you need good location if you want to visit the north of Portugal by car the host was very welcoming and gave us some address including local markets nearby

I would use the word "Exceptionnel" for this stay. The chalet was almost new, everything was well done, functional, well equipped and decorated with a lot of taste. As the place is a bit remote, the environment is also very calm and relaxing. Would return any time.

We were delighted with our stay. The house was clean, the view of the Douro Valley is simply fantastic, from the veranda, from the pool, from the pergola facing the kitchen… heavenly. Some neighbors, but the vegetation isolates well, the garden is large. When the vegetation has grown a little at the end of the pool, it will be really perfect!

This place is absolutely stunning! It’s exactly like it is in the photos, a decent size, beautifully furnished with its own private pool -what you see is what you get! The kitchen is well equipped, with just about everything you could want, the only things lacking for me were a kettle for a quick boil of water for tea (alternatives are to boil a pan of water on the stove or a cup in the microwave), and some wine glasses. The beds are comfortable, the ensuite bedrooms a bonus, and a downstairs shower for after the pool. Plenty of seating in the living room and dining room and cable TV and CDs for entertainment. Ariana who looks after the house and pool is quick to respond to queries and so helpful - a real asset to the property. Views are fabulous, in 3 directions, and shops and facilities are nearby. The only downside is the very scary track up to the Quinta - it’s very steep and very narrow, a small car is advised.

We loved the stay at the Farm, the place is comfortable, very well cared for, and the house has everything a family needs. The garden in front of the farm is quite large, and from each window it has a magnificent panoramic view. We went to the fluvial beach of espadanedo, which is 20 minutes away, where we swim, kayak and had a picnic. We also know Cinfães and Castelo de Paiva, which are 15 minutes away. The farm is located in a central location, close to everything. Everything was perfect, and it was an unforgettable stay.

We arrived on July 30 and left on September 10. We witnessed the growth and harvest of the grapes in Douro Valley! A spectacular experience. The house is a traditional Portuguese house which has been there for 300 years and which was renovated some years back. The area is spectacular particular. We are very happy and fortunate to have been able to experienced summer on Douro Valley.

We had lovely time here. Family friendly location on a working farm in a beatiful location in-between marco des canaveses and penafiel with good supermarkets less than ten minutes away. Very responsive host who dealt with our minor issues quickly and helpfuly. Very likely to return.

My stay at Francisco and Clara’s beautiful home was truly memorable. The stunning views of the Douro River from the multiple terraces, combined with the peaceful surroundings, made it a perfect getaway. The house is well-equipped, with spacious rooms and a fantastic pool area that we enjoyed throughout our stay. Francisco and Clara were incredibly welcoming, even providing a thoughtful welcome basket and daily fresh bread delivery. Their hospitality and the charm of the house made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Douro region!

Sara’s place was fantastic for a week-long reunion with some friends. It had everything our group needed for the week, and we particularly enjoyed the private pool and sunset views from the deck. The location was great, being right on the river and a 5-10min drive from hiking trails, kayak rentals, great restaurants and local wine tastings. Sara was also very proactive, providing us with local recommendations and clear instructions on how to get there, and being quick to answer any questions we had during the stay. Couldn’t recommend Sara’s place more for anyone looking to spend a weekend or week in the area.
