Cottage holiday rentals in Margaree Forks

We loved staying here for one night while we golfed. The proximity to everything in town is great! We loved enjoying the hot tub overlooking the course and ocean. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to this area, we plan to be back!

Celebrated a small surprise 70th birthday for my mom at this chalet. It was roomy enough for the amount of friends. The location is private and peaceful. The surroundings are beautiful. Ample parking. Everything we needed was inside the chalet. The hot tub outside was the icing on the cake. Very clean chalet and modern.

My husband and I loved our stay at Amber’s cottage. The view was amazing and the house was beautifully maintained. Amber and her husband answered all our questions quickly. Best of all the beds were super comfortable. We also really enjoyed the jacuzzi!! What a great bonus.

It’s a personalized, heart-warming, comfortable retreat, ideal for anyone wanting to spend a while writing, reading, or daydreaming. Take a project with you, or make up a new one while you’re there. No shortage of soulful, talented folk on the Cabot Trail - you’re sure to be inspired.

We rented all 5 for a work event. Everyone loved the cottages and all want to return. Beautiful pristine cottages , excellent for accessing Cabot , which some of the group did. Cottages have everything you need and more. So cozy , modern and clean We have been fortunate enough to do many team events and everyone agrees this was one of the best. So private yet so close to all the activities the town has to offer. Do not hesitate to stay here. It is my second time and now trying to arrange a 3rd friends group in the fall. It is amazing and you will not be disappointed!

Very charming, spotless and cozy cabin with all amenities you could wish for. I unfortunately stayed only one night as I was on my to the Cabot Trail (perfect location to start btw). Highly recommend!

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. It is such a perfect place that has everything you need and more. A short walk to the beach, and close to all restaurants and to the national park. It is dog friendly which is always a bonus! Thank you for a wonderful week.

Isabelle’s family vacation cottage had generations of charm; from the well stocked kitchen ( with fun cookbooks detailing Acadian recipes like oat cakes!) and child friendly spaces/activities/games. The back porch was comfortable with warming afternoon sun/ fantastic sunsets and the backyard private with a great trail for quick walks with our dog. We walked the trail to the nearby beach and collected many beautiful rocks and driftwood. The location was great for exploring the Cabot Trail. Highly recommend White Point trail at the top of the island- the best beach and views!!! Our three nights flew by!

Janet's place was simply wonderful. If you are lucky enough to go there make sure you do the trail that leads you to the train line and all the way to the beach. Simply magical... Thank you Janet :-)

A lovely, modern home with a perfect lake view and access to the water! We really enjoyed the design of the home, with tons of windows (but don't stay here if the thought of things watching you from the woods freaks you out! But nothing is watching you...). The living/kitchen area is open and airy, with sliding patio doors that open toward the lake and a deck. Nice wood-burning fireplace. Very functional kitchen, easy to cook in. Well-separated bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms would make this great for a family (or just 2 people, as we were). Infloor heating is nice. Kayaks and other outdoor things available. No TV, but we were OK with that (and used our computer and the fast internet connection when we wanted to watch something). We had not been to Cape Breton before and liked this location - 10 minutes to Baddeck and about 1.5 hrs. to the south end of Cape Breton Highlands National Park (either west or east coast). Lots of hiking near-by, appreciated the host's ideas on that.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Kim and Mark’s cottage in Lake Ainslie. Kim and Mark are attentive, responsive, and considerate hosts. The location is perfect - far enough away from the nearest town to be peaceful, but close enough to all the amenities we needed. I would highly recommend a stay at this small retreat.

This was our fourth stay in Aaron's beautiful cottage on Bell Bay Way in Baddeck, Nova Scotia, and it won't be our last! We stay every May for the iconic Cabot Trail Relay Race, and the cottage is the perfect place for our family of four racers to stay and relax when we are not out running and playing on the Cabot Trail. The beds are perfection, so comfortable. The views of the lake and the surrounding woods and mountains are gorgeous. The kitchen is full of everything you could possibly need, and the closets are full of toys and games. Aaron is so thoughtful with welcoming delicious drinks, and this year, we arrived during a cold nor'easter, so the gas fireplace was delightful on the first night. The cottage is big and sunny and so close to Baddeck. You could walk to town, but we drive the short drive and enjoy all the local flavor and flair of Baddeck in the shoulder season. You cannot go wrong staying at this beautiful home in this beautiful part of the world. We are so grateful.

This listing was by far one of the nicest places I've ever stayed in my travels during the past 10 years! It was quick & easy to get to town and a main road, yet very peaceful, quiet, and private. Nice to have easy access to the Margaree River where I loved taking pictures early mornings and evenings. The large wrap around windows and decks on both levels of the house made relaxing while taking in the scenery very enjoyable. The availability of a washer and dryer and 2 bathrooms was helpful. Also, the host was very quick in responding to any questions.

We had a wonderful stay at Kris's place. The home is immaculate, well-appointed, and cozy. The lake itself is beautiful: we swam every day. We also visited close-by ocean beaches and waterfalls. It was the perfect combination of relaxing and exciting.

A very lovely cottage in a great location. I felt right at home with the furnishings, well equipped kitchen and walkable location. Will definitely stay again if I come back to the Baddeck area. Thanks!

Everything at the cottage was fantastic; we felt right at home. There were eight of us, and the house had enough space for us all and enough bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked and had all the appliances that you need. It was a great stay, and I recommend it to anyone

We booked with Theresa as overflow for my daughter’s wedding and my adult children were so happy for the calm space! Theresa was accommodating and very responsive! Great experience!
