Holiday rentals with a patio in Marin County

This little hummingbird casita was a home away from home for my two week stay. Very cozy with lovely and comfortable decor. The apartment makes you feel tucked into the hillside above San Anselmo, town is just a few minutes away. I found everything I needed with no surprises when compared to the accurate description. My host, Peg was very responsive to my questions and even took a few minutes to meet in person.

Lovely place, small but well equipped and comfortable. A treetop hideaway indeed! Just read the description carefully about access, it's all accurate and if you can't manage 30 steps down to the deck (and back up!) then it's not for you. You can walk from the doorstep right into the Bald Hill open space and on to Phoenix Lake or even Mount Tam, it's lovely countryside so long as you like hills!

This was a repeat visit for us, our second in 2 months. The location is fantastic. We walk across the street to get coffee in the morning or dinner at night. Alison did a great job decorating the apartment and adding extra touches that make you feel like you're at home. The soaps, linens and towels are all high quality and add a luxurious touch.

Beautiful apartment in an amazing location. I could walk half a block to The Lumberyard for coffee and a blueberry-lemon scone at the Flour Craft bakery and browse the unique shops, or take a 5-minute walk to Mill Valley's charming downtown. Every detail in the apartment is well thought-out, from the comfortable bed in the bedroom and well-stocked kitchen to the sunroom for afternoon tea and the bright, airy and cozy living room with a cute alcove. Great communication with host. I will definitely stay here again!

Upsides: Cute little place surrounded by trees and wildlife (cute deer dropped by daily) - walkable to downtown and mountain trails. Lovely window desk to get work done if needed, sunny deck with seating. Lots of outlets! Helpful, accommodating hosts. Possible downsides: 10 min hilly street and (narrow at points) trail to downtown - we like to hike so it was fine but if you're not a hiker, you'll want to ride/drive.

Adorable place with a stunning view. So relaxing. Bed was super comfy. The deck was the most perfect place to sit and relax, listen to the ocean. I want to spend every weekend here! So worth it. One of my favorite stays so far for sure.

Johnny’s apartment was cozy just as he described it. I was in Sausalito for work therefore the apartment was a nice respite for my friend and I relax and unwind. We didn’t attempt to use the entertainment system, but rather enjoyed the views from the balcony. I recommend Johnny’s place for one person or a couple.

The place and our stay were great. Perfect location, very nice design, great sunlight, friendly host, and nice and clean. Kress was very accommodating, including letting us book at the last minute and check out late. Definitely would stay again.

Marianne has created a beautiful oasis for guests to relax and recharge. As a fellow airbnb superhost for the past 15 years I can truly say this was the most well stocked and appointed airbnb that I have stayed in. Aspirational. 5 stars all around. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at Hillary and Jim’s was nothing short of amazing. We underestimated just how great our stay would be. The views were absolutely stunning! The hosts were humble, sweet, attentive and give you plenty of privacy. The cleaners do a wonderful job, I was thrilled to hop in the Japanese soaking tub knowing it was clean. Location felt safe and was conveniently located in an upscale neighborhood just outside San Francisco. The weather here is amazing, significantly warmer than the city with less intense wind-plus it’s pretty much fog free! It was perfect coming back from long days in San Francisco to easy parking, a beautiful garden walk down to the bungalow, moon/bridge views over the water and peace of mind you and your belongings are in a safe place. We can’t wait to come back! *China town, palace of fine arts, go car tours, Alcatraz island, hop on hop off bus tours and pier 39 sea lion watching were all hits. McNears park is definitely worth the couple minute drive as well!

Trevor was a wonderful host and his unit was beautiful. If anything, the pictures do not do it justice. Trouble was also extremely accommodating with our last-minute request to book and our request to stay another day because everything was so nice. I would be happy to stay in Trevor’s place again.

Perfect location for peace and serenity! The house is spotless, kitchen was open and easy to use, and the beds are comfortable and soft. The hot tub and heated stone sofa were welcomed every morning and evening while listening to the ocean. We will be back soon!

Wow - we had an amazing stay and loved Job's beautiful home. The photos barely capture the incredible views. 180 degrees views of Mt. Tam all the way down to the Bay - truly on top of world. Pool was bigger than expected, warm water, great covered porch, VERY nice pool house/bedroom & bath. All beds were super comfortable, everything sparkling clean and living room was such a great and comfy area to watch movies or just look at the view with a good book. Kitchen is outfitted (and labeled) with everything you need. Very close to San Anslemo downtown - which is filled with great lunch spots, coffee shops. So much to do in Marin and this is centrally located (note a steep driveway but we had no issues.) Can't think of a single improvement Job could make. I left something behind and he responded that day that he would ship back to me. One of our most favorite Airbnbs ever. THANK YOU!

What an absolute pleasure to stay at Jewel on the Avenue!! The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you could want for a group get away. It’s also perfectly located near downtown. We were initially using San Anselmo as a home base to visit a couple places around the area but we ended up spending a good amount of time downtown. San Anselmo is so lovely!! We thoroughly enjoyed our week plus stay at Christina's house which was perfectly located to enjoy our time in the Bay Area. The description matched our experience and Christina was very responsive and clear with instructions. There was also a thorough guest book that really helped our planning since we brought our dog on this adventure. Finally, the nice deck and yard access was great for outdoor relaxing and letting the dog get some fresh air. We would definitely stay here again when back in the area and strongly recommend this option to others.
