A Scottish home: The Old Steading

MorayRating, 5 stars6 months ago
One of the best properties we have stayed in. Plenty of space for our family to enjoy together as well as lots of private space to chill. Both Robert and Geoff checked in on us regularly which was great. Geoff was especially helpful at checkin making sure we were all well settled. Huge kitchen, which was very well stocked, made cooking for a large family easy. Easy access to all rooms which was great for some family members with limited mobility. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the perfect house to spend Christmas.

Modern house with hot tub, perfect night away!

CatherineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was our second visit to Angie’s place. We loved the modern lay out of the house and the outdoor area is really nice, interesting and user friendly. It’s a really great house for a group as people can be doing different things at different times because of the games room, hot tub and various seating areas. Angie is most helpful and very nice indeed.

The unique Bothy Bed and Breakfast.

GarethRating, 5 starstoday
Long trip up to Turriff & long trip back down the following day, so just needed a quiet little warm cosy place for the night……and that is exactly what The Bothy provides. Easy to find, parking space, met as I arrived, quaint cosy 2 room Bothy……absolutely ideal for my needs that evening / night. Warm, cosy, comfortable and great value for this day and age. Not a huge place but it’s all I needed. As a previous guest mentioned, you could add a radio or a TV but it was actually quite nice to not have one. If I’m ever up that corner of Scotland again, I would certainly be returning. I’m building a small list of Scottish Airbnb places I’ve had the pleasure of staying at and ALL have been great. So if you are looking for a quiet, cosy, simple, 2 room small cottage like place, read there advert and then book. Many thanks for a welcoming and cosy overnight stay.

Woodland Retreat-bkfst incl/free parking, gr8 wifi

VickyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I stayed here with my partner and our pets for a long weekend for my birthday, we wanted pure relaxation and to totally switch off from the hussle and bustle from the stresses of city life - this place certainly delivered! Truly peaceful surroundings, loved listening to the birds and feeding the chickens! The chickens are such characters! This property had everything plus more you could ever need. The décor of the cottage is spectacular, it's like it's been professionally designed by an interior designer with each room being different. The hosts are so so welcoming, made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond with anything you needed. We recommend going for a walk around the woodlands. Feels like you're in another world! We would love to visit again!

Within secluded walled garden near sea

KeriRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We had an utterly magical family Christmas at the manse. There wasn’t a thing we brought that we needed other than food. Each room was another adventure telling it’s own story. Beautifully characteristic in every way and Eric was on hand at arrival to show us round (he even had the open fire for a warm welcome and some beautiful chutney from the garden) The outdoor space is as magnificent as the indoor space. Was concerned we’d be chilly in such an old home but couldn’t have been more wrong! Plentiful space for kids and adults for playing, eating and exploring and the beds are the comfiest at the end of a long day wandering the beautiful local trails. We went fishing 5 minutes from the manse and had some lovely trout for dinner roasted to perfection in the aga. Vicky was super responsive with any queries we had leading up to arrival, could not have asked for better. We spent a long time looking for where to spend Christmas and landed the best hidden gem in Aberdeenshire.
