Family-friendly holiday rentals in Martinsville

May be one of my favorite mountain stays I’ve had! Definitely will be back!

The apartment was nice and clean, close the river. We didn’t know there wasn’t a TV. We should have noticed it I guess. It wasn’t a problem for us. It was a new ce place to stay, and dog friendly.

We stayed here with 12 of our family members for graduation and it was the perfect place for all of us! The kitchen was great. We loved the outdoor space (and the hot tub). They’ve done a great job preserving the historic nature of the house while also updating- my Aunt was raving about how much she loved the shower! We loved that we could walk to the farmers market on Saturday morning! Taylor was so responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you!

Amanda was extremely communicative and kind my entire stay, my flights got delayed and she was flexible with my check in. As far as the property, 11/10 please book this for your next trip. Location is beautiful, you have your own private woods. It is extremely well kept and clean, comfy beds and well stocked kitchen for long stays and needing to make dinner. The hot tub and swing are lots of fun, as well! Thank you for being an amazing host and I hope to book this place next year!

Beautiful location, place as described. Jacuzzi was great. Lots of hot water. Good water pressure, good shower. Bed was comfortable. Donnie was helpful and responsive.

Would stay again in a heartbeat. Nice little cabin, very quiet and peaceful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the yurt! Linda will be the first to warn you that this is more like camping than a hotel, but there is something very special about this place.

May 20, 2025- May 25, 2025 What a wonderful escape! Coming from the fast pace life in Florida, this charming Virginia farmhouse was the perfect retreat. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful weather, peaceful scenery, and all the wildlife that surrounded us. The hot tub was an amazing bonus just what we needed to unwind. One funny surprise there’s a motion sensor sprinkler outback that gave us quite the wake up-Call when we got too close-Definitely a memorable moment! This stay was everything we hoped for and more. The owners were kind enough to bring us flowers because part of our trip was due to a recent loss in the family the extra thought truly meant a lot. We highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. —The Farris family.

Our stay was very relaxing. Alicia was very attentive and quick to respond to our messages. I would recommend her cabin to family and friends.

This was the most relaxing, peaceful and carefree weekend we have ever had. My husband and our 2 kids and 2 dogs had the most fun, and we didn’t even feel the need to be on our phones or watch tv! The cabin felt like home; so much so, that we didn’t want to leave. My husband and I are already planning a trip back. Carey was an amazing hostess and we are so appreciative that she opened her home to us. The views were breathtaking. We literally sat outside all weekend. We only went inside to cook and sleep. Oh! And we got to enjoy a meteor shower Saturday night! Super awesome!! And, even cooler, there’s a dollar general market at the end of the main road! Coolest thing I’ve ever seen! So you don’t need to bring a bunch of food! We drove 5 hours to come stay here, and honestly, I would drive 10 just to come back. This cabin was every bit of home and we can’t wait to come back!

The house and the property were beautiful, relaxing and perfect for my family! We had a wonderful time. The chickens, pond and walking trails were all great additions!

I was here with my daughter n grand daughter n twin cousins and this was exactly what was needed for our stay. Grateful am I! The toilet paper roll was priceless thank you! If back n WS will book here if available.

I hesitate to tell everyone how stellar this place is! It's magical, perfect in every way. This hidden gem is the perfect getaway. I'd love to keep it to myself and a secret, but it's just too good to not share.

Warren's place was great - very cozy, clean, & comfortable! Communication was good with the host & check-in was easy with a keypad. Only issue we had was that it was a little tricky to find. Warren sent directions, but the road is easy to overlook & we missed it the first time around!

After staying here for two months , I will say I will miss this place. The place was clean and cozy and comforting. The animals were lovely to bond with and I miss them too . Great experience and great hosts! Thanks for having me stay here

Stayed here for a weekend getaway with a best friend who lives out of state along with our 7 children. It was a wonderful place to just hang back and relax. Lots of space for kids to hang out, they especially loved the massive second story deck with room for games. The views are phenomenal and the fire pit out front was a definite hit, we came prepared with s’mores supplies. Beds were comfortable, place was very clean, kitchen was well stocked with all supplies. The closeness was Stone Mount State Park was especially convenient. Steve was also a wonderful host, always quick to respond and was even totally understanding of a hiccup in our check-out. Would definitely stay here again!

I would put this Airbnb at the top of my list for locations I’d definitely stay at again. The condo was PRISTINE and has been very well cared for. Even things like baseboards, ceiling fans were free of dust. Those are the places that reveal how well a property is truly maintained and they get an A++ ! I echo the comments of many other reviewers that this was a much better choice than any hotel. Yes, it’s a walk to the 3rd floor, but the stair well is very wide, indoors and carpeted. So it was a very easy, pleasant and stable climb. I felt very safe going to the 3rd floor alone. I don’t have a single critique. If you are thinking of booking, do it! 😉

Split Rock is one of the best experiences you can have, as it is both eye catching and breathtaking. Loads of amazing amenities and fun activity to pursue within the space. Jenny and Peter outdo themselves as hosts, creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere. I’m very appreciative to have booked my stay with them as they are very understanding and helpful. Please consider booking your trip at their lovely estate, you will really be thankful to both Jenny and Peter for opening up their home to you by the end of your trip.

This Airbnb is in an absolutely stunning location. We stayed here for my daughter‘s graduation from Virginia Tech and it’s a 30 minute drive from campus. It is down some windy mountain roads, but the views are spectacular. The apartment is exactly as described; everything was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this apartment.The host was super responsive and if we are ever back in the area, we would definitely stay here again.

Cute and comfortable place, close to downtown. Great for a short stay in Durham!

We had a wonderful long weekend here, enjoying all the beauty of Smith Mountain Lake. We rented a boat, played mini-golf, walked along the lake, and ate great food. This condo is the perfect location to relax and play.

Pearl Mill is a unique place with a great pool and gardens. The people there are super friendly, I felt so welcome. Easy parking, feels very safe. The condo is as described and very comfortable, perfect for one or two people. The outdoor environment, the inner courtyard, is beautiful and full of things to do. Very walkable to great restaurants, the Ellerbee trail, and the farmer's market on Saturday. Robert and the Trianglebnb folks were super responsive when my flight was delayed and I needed to stay an extra night. I'd definitely stay again. Thanks Robert!

Staying with Mr Jane was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy and spotless. The place was well-equipped and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! Highly recommended!" 

Jane was the hostess with the mostest! Very friendly and sweet. She is also very thoughtful - for instance, there is a binder with local recommendations. Her place felt like a little European cottage especially with the pool. Cozy and homey.
